I love how every Lee player is so happy about the heat burst changes for ws2,3, but completely disregard that he got hella nerfed to compensate for a buff that shouldn't ever be labeled as a buff, it was 100% a bug since launch and they masked it as a buff to justify all the bullshit nerfs they gave him. In the same patch they buff characters like King. These devs are a fucking joke.
it's like as if you ordered from the restaurant and got the wrong order, then they fixed it, but also stole stuff from your house (some of which you had for 20 years)
facts it makes no fucking since sense Kaz, paul, and worst of all steve, and bryan why? all these characters are already good AF They've been really bad at dealing with these characters in this game.
@@monderzorgani8897 Fam no disrespect but stop tryna claim Kazuya as a struggle character he's never been bad ever in any tekken game he's a meta character the game was basically created around his move set starting from tekken 1 till now. strong mids strong lows good launchers lots of plus moves good strings and EWGF!
If they just made that new powercrush into a mid I'd be satisfied. Cuz its the same input so it would just be considered that old powercrush with a new animation. Especially if they give it the same properties. 🥲
Lee just straight up got nerfed, all the so called "buffs" are just issues that needed fixing. They knew the heat system was getting nerfed but calling these patches buffs in the notes is BS
Fixed ws23 but lost key tracking, pressuring, and keep out tools it seems. Tracking was already worse than it was in early t7 imo. Smh. Meanwhile king’s a mishima now 😂
I just don't get what the deal is with King in T8. Did a furry become balancing executive? Does Lil Majin hold Harada's family in his basement?? Come on
Seems like they kinda want Lee to be alright at getting to apply a light poke mix but dont want him to be able to keep applying the same pressure easily. I guess because of b33 they didnt want df1 to be able to beat jabs and therefore cover more options than the average fast mid check? Idk why they changed it now then and not like during early development but alright...maybe they really do listen to TMM for balancing ideas hahaha he was just whining about b33 mix from Lee players.
Which is crazy since b33 isn't even a "mix". It's pressure is so goddamn fake that you can just low-jab after getting hit by b33 and stuff literally everything Lee can do afterwards other than block. If you see b33 coming then you can literally get a full combo off of him also. I don't get the TMM whining at all
@@a130inthesky to be fair i think he wasn't whining about b33 but about lee players getting lazy due to that and other moves while before they used 200 iq to win
@@a130inthesky tbf, b33f is true plus frames, you just can't loop b33f into itself, those specific frames are fake. Everything you do after other than itself, you are fully taking advantage of the +4 you get. Next time you play, do b33f into low-jab or standing jab and you will counter hit them with df4,4 or any that is i13 or faster and trade with i14 moves.
@@a130inthesky because this man is a toxic twat. gigasthiccas mocked his bryan with gigas in tekken 7 and he constantly whined about gigas not being R E A L tekken character, 7 years after t7 release
Can still win with lee, it'll be harder than before but he's by no means a bad character now, and losing that much damage from a i13 punish is fair as it was far too much. Lee is fine.
i think we’ll still be able to win, the ws2,3 bugfix is huge but it’s a lot harder to pull off a win now considering how much other characters got buffed
@@xravenx24fe I’m not a kazuya main but I have started to play him near the end of tekken 7 and trust me he was not fine until this patch was released. I’m not even talking about whether he was a powerful character or not , they really messed up his combo routes and took away from player expression , and tbf that’s the issue most kazuya mains had. He should’ve been nerfed after the cnt but not like that. Me personally I could care less if a character is powerful but I like it when a character allows you to be creative and express yourself a lil, especially in combos.
I was waiting for Lee ws2,3 into heat to get fixed before my GoD run and done the run and got it last night. I noticed all those heat nerfs and df1 . Tracking is so annoying and his heatdash starters aren’t easy whiff punishes also. I wish he had a fast mid tracking move, 1+2 is sluggish and can get interrupted and his other tracking moves are highs
Damn GM they must not want you to enjoy this game at all. You already felt the game was boring, but now this just killed any joy you cam get from the game. This is why i hate modern fighting games, always just patching sruff at random and cant five you a complete product at release
@@lpvgs-817 he kinda sucked in 7 too, if your opponent had good defense and could react well to slide, you were like an ant fighting a god. Especially against noctis, akuma, kunimitsu, etc. playing lee was a joke
EXACTLY! No one wants to lab and just play so this is why fgc won't be getting any bigger than it is now. I'd say the scene is smaller than 10 years ago with the exception of majors
We just lost some 10 damage from those but we can still pack a punch. moves to heat dash - ub3 or db3+4 is consistent. Will prolly try Blazing Kick as you recommended. Also, have you tried his bread and butter wall combos? I feel it must be precise this time .
@@IzNebula i meant the standing df44_44:4_b3+4 heat dash to blazing kick_hms u4. Because they can now tech roll - only ub3_db3+4 are the fastest ones we can use as guaranteed follow ups
@@violetmistplays Ik, we used to be able to do 65-68 damage before when HMS uf4 hit them grounded with a follow-up ub3/blazing kick. We do now 45-48 damage, depending on whether you do ub3 or blazing kick. So that effectively nerfed the damage potential by 20 damage.
I barely ever used raw heat burst outside of combo, so I don't really care about that. I'm sad about the heat dash >HMS u4, because it was cool, strong, and fun to use, and worked really well with parry df4,4 (I'm not gonna say I invented that, but I never saw anybody else use it). WS2,3 > heat burst being consistent is super strong, you duck a high twice (or even once), and you kill them, but it was basically a bug that it whiffed, honestly. Call me an eLeetist, but even if this makes him stronger overall, I'd rather have the old heat stuff back. I didn't play enough of the new patch yet, but I hope at least other characters lost as much from heat dash, so the system nerf didn't just hit us.
With the system mechanics changes isn't lee inherently buffed since he's a character based around movement and homing throws massively limited his pressure game? Same with heat bursy
they only needed to change victor's and azucena's high power crush because you can't even jab those a lot of the time. and lee already struggles at breaking turtles so the opportunies he does get should be rewarding with heat dash. so unnecessary to nerf that
Lee for me is a low tier character, it's even harder than before to win. Now even more than before we are absolutely not rewarded given the difficulty of the character. The new defense mechanics don't suit me, I'm a very offensive Lee player.
Who thought that was a good idea? We were already fighting uphill battles. Now they expecting us to climb mount everest in every fight? Nah. This is no fun.
@@ShyTheRula I think he might have meant you can now high interrupt HM4. I haven't tested it yet myself since I barely use HM4 I just default to B3 from Hitman.
