Being honest is the most important thing. Hopefully we can implement a way to tell the enemy our next move and gameplan to make the game 100% honest. It would be more like Chess
Tekken 8 is my first Tekken game since Tekken 3, haven't played any since then. My first character now was Dragunov, I reached purple ranks with him. Now I'm trying to detox Dragunov out of my body, 'cause he's too pumped up and I wasn't learning enough Tekken fundamentals even though I was winning many games. Shaheen was my choice and, my god, even though he's supposed to be one of the simplest characters, I'm struggling to climb from orange ranks onwards! I'll need as many channels like this as possible to learn.
Hello bro, i respect u a lot for that! We share the same insight towards drag, he is too OP. I actually use him back t7, but same as u I feel like I wont develop good fundamentals if i keep using drag. A character as OP as him now will eventually be nerfed. Great choice on shaheen bro! Just a tip…. Use Shaheen’s: d3, df1, b3 if u want to try to read ur opponents reaction. U cant just rely on the slide mixup, sometimes I dont even use this strat on shaheen but it’s a great bonus he has.
Really enjoyed this vid as a shaheen main. I’m stuck in orange ranks. I feel my fundamentals have got a lot better playing him. I noticed in your vid players are respecting your stealth step and you can then start the mind games. In my rank they just mash 😂. Funny as in quick match when I play higher ranks (red ranks) I tend to do slightly better. Any advice? I try not to rely on slide mix too much.
Actually you’re right about that bro, the level of gameplay based on the color of the rank is a huge thing to consider. Before I reached God of destruction… I got demoted from tekken king back to raijin(i think) That’s because of the level and adjustments i had to make based on what works and what doesn’t. Cause ure gonna encounter a lot of mashers still in blue ranks 🤣 since the game really advertises being aggressive. But it’s actually a great exercise for us players because it will allow us to read an opponent quickly during early rounds. My tip for you is that use shaheen’s basic but useful moves. Like running 2, df1, jabs, b3, d3 From using d3 you’d already be able to understand something in ur opponent. For example whenever ur d3 hits some opponents tend to use generic low jab I mean the usual d1 for most characters. What i do is I sidestep this type of scenario and I get a free hop kick. Hahahaha Sometimes also remember especially on Tekken 8, it is good to throw a sudden hopkick from a read. Because combos hurt when u have heat or rage. I know this is kind of silly but if it hits ur opponent will he more cautious and respect your offense. But remember not to force it because there are still some very patient players that will wait for that mistake of urs 🤣
@@SlickJon thanks man I’ll give it a go. I’m quite patient in this game as I think you have to be with shaheen. But besides his running 2 and b3, there isn’t much in the way of frame traps unless I can get the stealth step mix going. So I end up eating a lot of pressure. I’m also finding even if you do side step/walk a lot of moves track hard in this game. Being a shaheen main is tough.
@@latto101 yeah man, you can copy my gameplay but! I suggest you understand most of the options I use because what i like about shaheen is that he has enough tools in this game to be able to have frame traps that are not too risky. Like again coming from d3, b3. And with his new move the uf1. But i suggest if youre gonna try to interrupt ur opponent.. ur best go to is df1 other than jab. Because shaheen’s df1 for me is the best in this game also because it can clip xiaoyu’s aop stance. That’s how deep shaheen’s df1 is… and not to mention its only -1 on block. So that’s really a great tool
@@SlickJonthanks man really appreciate the feedback. I’ll try and incorporate his df1 more for interruptions. My go to has generally been f2,3 or 2,3. I’ll give it a go and let you know how I get on. This is my first tekken I’ve taken seriously. It’s tough 😅
@@latto101 alsooooo, try to lock ur 10f punish to 2,3 bro. Not only for it’s damage… but because it’s plus 10 on hit which means from that move u can already do a decent lowrisk okizeme
You actually can’t, but you can buff arrow down for some time then press up 2. Best way to practice it is when ur heat engager hits u already can press down while ur character is doing the running animation
