Happy we got a new launcher with LH 1+2, woo but also sad that one of my combos are now gone because of the spin move changes I used to use b1 - -> extf3 -1 --> ub2 --> f3-1 - ->b1-2 -->2 --> 3-1-2, 2 the ending 3-1-2 now knocks them too far away for the lion heart uppercut to hit, because I already used 2 spin moves prior

still hoping we can do transition by only tap F for LH > PAB & tap B for LH > FLK 😂... that's really² gonna be Nightmare and surely everyone's gonna complain about it but who cares, i think now it's the right time for give Steve Properly new Stuff

It should’ve always been punishable if you only blocked the low? Why is it an issue if you can just power through his options before?

@@Anirenkou why not? Why should his move be an exception. There are lots of moves that lose to power crush for the majority of characters.

@@Anirenkouand on top of that, you can delay the follow up attack to bait the power crush and then punish it. Now you just have to get lucky and block the unreactable low.

@@funkrates4778 but Steve’s attacks lock him into a forced transition for LH; a stance he can’t block out of. Why should Steve get punished because he can’t defend himself on hit? It would make sense if he could cancel it to be able to pressure with PC but in this case he can’t, the only other way he could cancel it on time is through LH~PKB which just got removed in this patch

@@Anirenkou exactly i think the guy just hates steve and doesn't care about balancing before the patch the stance was suicide for steve so nobody did it. But of course they wanted it to stay that way to get a free powercrush.

It's actually an extremely intelligent buff. Never underestimate 1 frame. Reminder: A move going from -9 to -10 means it went from being safe to being jab punishable.

@@funkrates4778I hate when people say you are not playing the character correctly sometimes it’s true but other times… they took so much which made tekken 7 Steve so good and removed it a lot of combo potential and comeback potential got lost while also completely removing some of his execution which made Steve such a good yet demanding character now he’s a below average low execution character without a real learning curve when it comes to mechanical skill very sad

So let me get this straight. He can go to lion heart and not be interrupted. And this stance has a guard breaking high and a Launching high range mid that's only -13. This is balance?

In T8, it is balanced. Before you could option select almost everything besides weave evasion with powercrush. The guardbreak gives only 19 damage, and you risk your life. The mids being strong is completely fair.

@sagekoh3158 Your opponent ducks and you get launched. That is risking your life. The advantage is in favor of Steve, as it should be.

@@funkrates4778 The advantage goes to the attacker. That is T8. Steve usually enters LH through a punish/weave or a risky low in db32. If LH let Steve block and select no option, I would agree with you.
