Paying 70 dollars to be advertised to, reducing Tekken to just another billboard and just cheapening the entire experience. It depresses me even more to see people whining about it being the "wrong shoe" as well as if that's what's wrong with it.
You got people getting excited by the fact they're going to pay $10+ for 2 characters they had in KoF14 and a re-release of a terrible crossover game. You shouldn't be surprised. The fgc needs more criticism for supporting this stuff.
@@JPa-x8pAm I wrong to think that these takes are very reactionary? The fgc has been mostly in this state for years now, more than a decade. Don't get me wrong, I'm not defending it, but it's absolutely strange we kind of act like this is something new.
@Cronalixz The fgc tries to cover this stuff up, even silence people for exposing what's going on. With the current state of fighting games being pretty bad for different reasons, the fgc needs more backlash and criticism especially with W0k3 Kombat 1 and Tekken 8. Stuff like the lack of customization for the bears after Tekken 5 and 6, yet we're getting sneaker crap is really inexcusable.
@@JPa-x8p Yeah, it's fair enough. I think from the perspective of the devs, they want/NEED more budget to make what they really want to make. They've been relegated to doing things like using Unreal as opposed to their own thing. It's like a necessary evil for them, if you see interviews by Harada for example, it's clearly his stance on it. Its scummy af, yes, I would never support it. And I'd never stay silent about it, but this is all part of the game of selling games, I would expect people who have been playing let alone BUYING these to catch on at this point and not be so reactionary about it. Criticism has way more weight to it when it's not just the flavor of the month of bitching

In 7th Grade I volunteered to help build homes for a local village, these people did not have homes. The house we were buildingn were for a family of 4, both kids (under the age of 10) were working at Nike factories and looked so depressed, they just wanted to help their parents out to pay for their school tuition, yet they still couldnt afford it cos of the shit pay. That day I sworn to never support Nike or any other brand that uses unjust labor.

I haven't been watching EVO so I didn't see this collaboration announcement. I honestly thought it was just some kind of parody for the first 20 seconds before I realised that it was an actual thing. I don't know who the hell is supposed to get excited for this except maybe the Bamco shareholders.
@@michakoguciuk497 The concept at its core incentivizes the developers to create overpowered characters to increase sale, the fact the he characters are paid in a competitive game makes it pay to win. This is the objective reality, you can argue about tier list all day but non of that will lead to anywhere. If they wanted to maintain the competitive integrity of their game they wouldn't monetize the game using the characters like Dota 2 and rely only on cosmetics and the price of the base game. (Dota 2 is even free, this just shows how pathetic you and the game you are defending is 🤡)
I don’t see Tekken 8 lasting longer than 2 seasons. The gameplay is awful. The game is filled with corporate garbage. All they can really do now is add fan favorites. Namco relying on streamers to promote their game can only work for so long. Once you realize Tekken 8 is a mash fest you can’t unsee it.
When i saw a stage in centraal square i thought that they did it to show off the graphics, all the lights reflecting everywhere from the bill boardas ect. Seeing in game ads for azucena coffee and bobs burgers was a fun nod to the characters, but i should have been wiser since they did something similar for pacman in t7 arena, i think I'll just download a mod that gets rid of nike ads and if there's not a mod for that, it will be my cue to get into modding, it's not even a single billboard, it's just the wholee stage, so you can see it from all angles at any point

Man in your last video I wasn't personally feeling the "we're done" vibe. But after today? I'm fucking done with Tekken, playing, watching, anything. I know that may sound dramatic and honestly it may be, but in some ways it's a load of my shoulders, I can dedicate more attention to other stuff instead of coping endlessly.

Are you joking? SF6 is much worse. Look at the pathetic roster size, look at the prices and all the nickel and dime bs it has and that started in game ads for fighters.
@@atuls55 Capcom is just as bad as Bandai Namco when it comes to monetization but let’s not bring up roster size. SF6 is a much better fighting game overall. The gameplay and quality of balancing is superior. Almost everything is superior in SF6.
@@JonNewgate The roster size is just over half the size of Tekken's desptie the character's having far less moves. Of course it's going to be easier to balance. Capcom makes you pay extra for the stages, colours, and extra costumes and they cost an obscene amount. Tekken 8 gives you the extra costumes as standard and is adding a free stage. By the time SF6's roster size equals T8 starting roster you would had to pay 3 times the price of the game. How is the gameplay superior? Many top players have been very critical. Mena RD called it the scrubbiest SF game.
