I love Tekken and knew what was coming for Tekken 8 and still bought it because I'm a fan. Probably might even buy Heihachi just to check his animations and stuff. Yet I hope the game dies for its own good. I want to see Namco lose the IP and Murray/Harada lose their jobs at that project so that could be a lesson to other devs. For the last 10 years I've seen experienced developers from bigger companies go indie and making actual video games free of product placements and other garbage that got nothing to do with gaming. Also if the franchise would finally fade away the community might flow towards older games. Maybe someone would figure out how to play Dark Resurrection online sort of like Fightcade but its own thing. I'd love to see that.
Listen, I know none of you have played history mode (me neither but I read the wiki) but would you be surprised to learn that Tekken overall story has some kind of post-world where corporativism/techno feudalism is a thing. In that world late-stage capitalism surpass itself with multi-millionaires' companies being able to fight entire states through private armies and literally controlling the world, not only for the profit margin (that is not enough), but just the power hunger interests of the owner class... What a post-truth narrative.
Soo ah what happened to street fighter 6? U can complain all u want(valid reasons ofc tekken 8 is trash) but seriously move the fuck on, and play a new fighting game, loved your tekken 7 content, and I would love to see that kinda content again in a different fighting game. That or quit content creating, it’s generally sad seeing that every post is negative about a game u clearly don’t like, there’s value in moving on. Personally I’m happy that I’m playing other fighting games, that isn’t tekken, mvc2 has been a blast. Hell tekken 5 is playable online now, guides on that would be sick for new players, who are sick of tekken 8.
Tekken 7's online made it almost literally unplayable for me with half hour plus wait times to find matches, yet I want my money back on 8 even more so than on 7. Fuck Bandai Namco and fuck Murray and Harada for being okay with this bullshit.
people are complaining they are not fixing ranks but they said on tekken talks about the same that we would not loose too much points while going against high ranked player and will gain more points after winning so do wait for the update

Can't wait for the matching jin and whorerang body pillows. phidx is a great dude and has really good advices and this patch does seem to be bringing some legitimate positive changes to the game. But when he defends them for " needing to build the brand" with random garbage and how special style is good for bringing in new players is where I draw the line.
