The events between Tekken 5, 6 and 7 pretty much occur within the same year because each title starts off where the previous one ended. Though it does bother me that she's still so young, she should be 17 in t8, Jin is already confirmed to be 22, it's crazy cause Xiaoyu looks younger than Lili 😂
DAMN. I did not know Kazuya was 49 years old. I thought he was at most like 45. Also it really annoys me that Jin has accomplished more at 21 than i have at 26.
To be fair, Jin is the grandson of a CEO in a family company. He has access to more resources thanks to his family. It doesn't mean that his life was an easy one, though.
@@Gara19 he's mostly a hobo, what'cho mean. He lived a mid class life with his mom, a rich, but hard life full of training with Heihachi and from Tekken 3 to Tekken 5 he's mostly a vagabond. Then rich again in 6, then who knows what in 7 and 8
While Jin had accomplished something doesn’t mean those accomplishments are worth to pat someone in the back, in real life, I think many people will ridicule him or if he had supporters, Japan will be in chaos + the world. Then US president offer him asylum.
And Lee is 48 while looking 25. I guess he is a rich man and has access to the best anti-aging products and technology. While Dragunov is obviously stressed from doing his job, and Feng just doesn't give a shit about anything that doesn't make him stronger.
That's cuz Fahkumram is actually the tallest in all of Tekken trilogy, or so the creator says. I don't have the screenshot, but I remember seeing it in his tweet or somewhere. The reason why he is so small and have a deformed body unlike the trailer--is to make him playable. Bigger characters means larger hitbox, along with mid attacks becomes high attack, while low attacks becomes mid attacks. And hugh attacks would be impossible. Plus, whenever they nerfed some movement, it will be tough if one character is like 10 ft tall. I mean, u can already do an infinite combo if u use alisa's saw against Kuma, just cuz he is the tallest. Imagine if Fahkumram is as tall, if not taller. You could basically combo him much easier and more damaging. And he can do the same to u too.
@@7exon600 they could just make larger character to fly further getting combo alot. Like in tekken 6, if you combo more than 12 hits, the 13th and 14th is unhitable and characters can wake up and do punish instantly. I tried this on ppsspp with large hitbox cheats and it is confirmed.
@@khairuljapar3363 Hmm, no, that's not what's concerning. Because the problem is the wall attack. Kuma can be combo'ed infinitely by Alisa because of wall juggle, not because of the air juggle attacks. Plus, imagine some attacks that does not juggle, but rather sent the enemy to the ground. U shouldn't be able to combo any character after that particular attack, except tall characters like Fahkumram, cuz his hit boxes are huge. That would make the game unfair. Maybe it can be fixed, but the creator prolly think it's a hassle and requires more coding or something. I dunno. Not a pro at this. All I know is that I saw him said that Fahkumram is the tallest character in the Tekken trilogy. Though I doubt he's taller than Azazel. And to further prove this, Marduk is shrunked as well. He's supposed to be a giant, but he got shrunk on tekken 7
The height in the trailer wasn't meant to be literal. It's supposed to represent Fak's overbearing presence, it's why they put marduk in the trailer for contrast. How are people not getting it years later? Edit: nvm harada confirmed fak was supposed to be taller
It's crazy that Tekken 5-7 all take place in one year. Makes you wonder just how much money the Mishima Zaibatsu is if it can host the fighting equivalent of the World Cup 3 times in 12 months.
@@mr.tramber That would be false. Some sources say (Heihachi's and Lee's Tekken 5 prologues for example) that one month has passed between Tekken 4 and 5. Paul's Tekken 5 prologue says it's been two months, however. The rest is very vague. All we know for a fact is that all Tekkens starting from the 4th one happen in the same year.
@@akpade animals don't care about age. if the female can make offspring and the male is attractive (attraction is different from animal to animal) then they would likely want to copulate. I think the real problem here is Panda's (and ordinary pandas') general lack of interest in mating. That and they are different kinds of bear and maybe Panda doesn't find his features attractive because of that. Edit: but what do I know? they are video game bears and it probably isn't that deep. Just the devs having a laugh.
@@SM-bd8xc Woulda had no idea at all..... I would imagine Kaz actuall quietly respects Dragunov btw. Where else is he gunna get all those soldiers from? Fiver??? This be what I'm writing up for the projects I'm working on
@@naiiin6949 Feng is about 37 minimum.... Guy gives off the vibes of a bloodsport champion that was born in the trenches and never got dethroned. I would imagine his demeanor would even make Kaz nervous but Kaz does get the win in the end. Not to say he wouldn'tbe threatened like crazy to see a guy like him who has no feelings or issues
Lee is supposed to be taiwanese. He was adopted by heihachi in taiwan. And Lee's name is in Mandarin Edit: lei wulong is supposed to be hong kong. His name is in Cantonese
Mads Mikkelson would make a SICK Dragunov and I would usually choose a newer actor just so they could make the character their own and vice versa but he'd do so well after Casino royale
@@Baset_ I don’t think that in a Tekken story that’s it’s necessary for all of them to play a fighter’s role. To have Drago in the background as a general that works his way into TK6 would be cool. Don’t need to give coverage to everything and have fights like Lilli v Paul in a would-be cinematic game or animation Am working on something like this and starting with Jin n Kaz, by the way
Xiaoyu was always 3 years younger than Jin. She debuted in Tekken at age 16, while Jin was 19. That would make her a freshman, while Jin would be a senior.
It’s never been officially confirmed but Eliza is from Monaco since she was discovered buried underneath Lili’s mansion & was also found to have ties to Lili (sisters?)
Panda is actually older than Kuma also it's kind of a shame Teken won't allow Female characters to actually be over the age of 40, and no the Williams sisters don't count, they weren't allowed to age naturally
Namco in general, like in SC5, where Taki is absent since she has reached 40, Sophitia died as she would've reached 40 if she had been alive, Ivy stopped aging due to some mumbo jumbo. Hilde is the closest at 37.
I mean, Eliza is a vampire so she is probably hundreds of years old. If you mean over 40 looking that's because no one would want to play as that unless they just make her too strong, there's no appeal to old female characters, it doesn't carry the same cool factor as someone like Leroy or Wang. Though I guess you could make a character like The Boss from MGS3, but broadly speaking characters like these are like striking gold, no one wants or cares about babas normally.
@@subparticle8995 saying that NO ONE would want to play that is rather a stretch as Ivy from SC series is one of the more popular characters even though she was one of the oldest human females a 40 years old female can still look good even better than all the school girls, that being said, no one wanted to play as the bears in Tekken and yet here we are, over 10 Tekken games and Namco refuses to remove them even when people say they want them out
Is just past Tekken games the character models made certain characters smaller until Tekken 8 which fixed most of that and some of the horrible proportions of Tekken 7. Kazuya is actually taller and bigger than his son. Tekken 8 actually fixed some of the character models with Kazuya being actually bigger and taller than his son Jin.
In japanese games (not only but most notably) it's common to depict young characters unrealistically and stop their aging, or at least make it minimal. Kids and elders have mostly realistic looks in the sense of signs of age... the problem (apparently) is that the devs don't want late teens and late adults to age correctly. It's almost like it's a taboo. SF, TK, SC, KOF, DOA, etc. If you pay attention, in all of them there's minimal to no aging of chars from those mentioned age groups.
KOF, at least they did age since a year base sequel system up until KOF 2003, then the rest of the games work like any other fighting game and, of course, some retconing too
Because Japanes people love youth. Also Asians age slower so a young 30yo female jp girl often looks more youthful than average white American that looks like spoilt milk at that point. The guys do generally age though, T8 Jin looks older than 21yo for sure, and SF6 Ryu definitely is rocking that beard for a reason now. Paul and Law also looks older. Even Nina looks quite mature now.
I'm pretty sure that when it comes to games and their character data, numbers are just thrown out at random. That, or these numbers are made first and then ignored during the game making process either because it looks better or funny enough because of balancing reasons (character's reach too short or too big and keeps getting hit; change their size). Cool to see them line-up like this and with nationalities included as well. 0:07 - Lili's 16? I thought she was 16 when she was introduced in Tekken Dark Resurrection? Someone clearly forgot to update their details; you can't be sixteen forever Lili. 0:18 - So... do we count where Jack was built for his nationality or have to take into account the country origins of all his different parts? Gigas is related to Katarina, but given he is the adopted father, we can't assume that he's Brazillian. 0:25 - Huh; I always thought Xiaoyu was the same age as Jin. Hilarious going from the giant men on the last line-up to the girls here. 0:57 - A lot of the characters are looking youthful for their age but I'm particularly surprised with Ganryu. 55 here and still looking like he did from his debut. 1:18 - It's funny seeing where there is height difference and where there is none. In this case, despite the difference in numbers, the height difference in the actual models seems minuscule to non-existent. 1:54 - A funny little way to differentiate Kuma and Panda's fighting, though not one you'd notice from a glance.
It's common knowledge that Tekken characters have been the same age since Tekken 4. Similar to animated TV shows like The Simpsons where Bart and Lisa have been 10 and 8 since season 1 episode 1. So Lili was 16 when introduced, is still 16 and can be presumed to be 16 all the way back in T4 despite not featuring in it.

@carlosaugusto9821 I think there's a few different explanations for this, but I'd say most come together in that Japan just doesn't care about realism the way the west does. Historically Japanese art literature and drama has been very melodramatic and less focused on being close to physical reality. Then, later on after WW2 Japanese culture went largely into full on escapism. Culturally, there was never much or a want or need for grit or realism. In this case, Japanese devs are largely just following marketing trends based on previous successes (in this case not having ugly characters), but in the greater picture, that original artistic direction goes back centuries in explaining why Japan does it differently.
Yea ur right. The heights in t7 is not always right if you compare them to info from the manuals and such (T3 - TTT1 manuals etc). And I guess you also have to pay attention to the character's foot wear and the Mishimas' long ass hair as well.
Yeah accurate lore background wise Kazuya is suppose to be 2nd tallest Mishima after Jinpaichi, while Heihachi is the 2nd heaviest( weight wise) Mishima after Jinpaichi. Jin is the 3rd tallest and 4th heaviest Mishima, and Lars is the smallest
Dude heihachi is the tallest in game model he looks like 2 inches taller than Kazuya Jin looks taller than Kazuya by an inch and looks a little buffer him and Lars looks like the shortest out of this family it’s so weird though because confirmed data Lars is supposed to be the 2nd tallest after jinpachi and slightly shorter is Kazuya and another slightly shorter is Jin than inch shorter is heihachi Mishima but he used to to be the same height as Jin when he was younger but in game model it’s a different story.
@Eduardo Delgado Alfonso Lopez no from Tekken Lore and the actual background data. In the game until Tekken 8 they finally fix that in which many players complained that many character's proportions especially Kazuya looks weird and stated it wasn't lore accurate. Kazuya was supposed to be the 2nd tallest Mishima behind Jinpaichi Lore wise and 3rd biggest(weight wise) Mishima behind Heihachi and Jinpaichi. Jin is the 4th biggest and 4th tallest and Lars is the smallest Mishima unless you want to Include Lee aswell.
@@BilalKhan-ng3ex well, if we are going to get technical Jin, Kazuya and Heihachi in theory are not Japanese since their nationality was revoked by the Japanese government for crimes against humanity
@@bananainkproduccion1115 wouldn't Lei Wulong be from Hong Kong then? Or Geese Howard being Japanese too? Same thing with Lucky Chloe, Lars and a lot more characters too
@@Lonewolf-7577 "nationality, not ethnicity" As far as we know, Geese, Lars and Chloe live in Japan and Hong Kong is not a part of China, mr Winnie Pooh
Because Jin is not 21. By Tekken 4 he was already 22. But to be frank, considering Kazuya was 26 in Tekken 2 (when he pegged Jun), Jin should be 23, meaning that between Tekken 5 (which was a month after T4) and right now in the storyline, there is a year at most. Meaning Jin conquered the entire world in a single year. Yeah right. Tekken's timeline is borked, OK?
Heihachi is the tallest in game model he looks like 2 inches taller than Kazuya Jin looks taller than Kazuya by an inch and looks a little buffer him and Lars looks like the shortest out of this family it's so weird though because confirmed data Lars is supposed to be the 2nd tallest after jinpachi and slightly shorter is Kazuya and another slightly shorter is Jin than inch shorter is heihachi Mishima but he used to to be the same height as Jin when he was younger but in game model it's a different story. Tekken Characters heights a lot them are off despite confirmed data but the game model shows a complete different story I’ve always been wondering why?
The most convenient models for hitboxes and/or devs not caring about these details. Consider that the last game with height charts is Tekken 3. We don't actually know the height of characters from T4 onwards
Nina and Anna were placed into Cryogenic Sleep for 15 years, that is why they are physically young in the current game. NINA 43 years old ( physically 28 years old) ANNA 41 years old ( Physically 26 years old)
I remember the issue of the official PlayStation magazine with the Tekken 3 review and there was an artwork on the front cover showing Eddy Gordo, Jin Kazama, Hwoarang and Ling Xiaoyu side by side, and because Jin and Hwoarang are both 5ft 11in making them nearly 6ft and Eddy looked taller that them both I could only see Jin, Hwoarang and Eddy because that particular issue came with a demo disc which covered the part of the image showing Xiaoyu which means she must be VERY TINY I'm guessing.
The characters' ages always "baffled" me, but that is because, well, only about half a decade *at best* happened between Tekken 3 and Tekken 8. These characters, and their world, have gone through way too much in such a short amount of time
A lot of the developer stated heights do NOT match the ingame models , also akuma while not exactly tall is WAYYY more jacked than i realized he makes some of the other characters physiques look small in comparison
Lili being the same height even without heels is hilarious. Maybe all the women have similar feet models? Or they just let her have a few inches so the gameplay (as per Kuma and Panda) won’t be affected. For Noctis you can just put the Caelum emblem (as seen in car sticker in FFXV) but I understand if that’s more work lol. Thanks for this approximate reference! It’s nice to see these stats.
It's so weird to think I grew up with these characters back in TEKKEN 2 onward as a tiny kid Now in real life I'm older than majority of the characters I grew up playing LMAAAOOO
So is the scale being noted for custom arenas later for model to player model size ratio? Are they going through doors? Getting in vehicles? Jumping put windows? Weight really does nothing on tekken, they all float so....
I thought Miguel was just over two meters tall. Guess I was wrong. Fahkumram would be death combo bait were he to match his trailer size, but it's still odd how they had to shrink him.
In game Fahkuram is shorter than Marduk and yet in his promo trailer his far taller than him. Kinda shocked the new characters apart from Lidia their official age hasn't been revealed.
Well, Harada confirmed that Fahkumram is THAT tall. But for gameplay purposes, they couldn't make him so tall because that would be pretty broken, both in his favor and against him
There's a couple of corrections you gotta make to this video, pal. Check the comments. Other than that, very enjoyable to see this... even though some things kind of don't look "coherent" even in the game.
I always thought Nina and Anna are from Wales. I think it was stated in the japanese Book for tekken 3 (my brother bought the Japanese ps one with the back then). Was it ever confirmed in one of the games that they're from Ireland? I'm so confused right now.
Xiaoyu was always 3 years younger than Jin, ever since their debut in Tekken 3. She was just a freshman, while Jin was already a senior in Mishima High School. Since Tekken 4, Xiaoyu is still a junior, while Jin either graduated, or dropped out.
I thought Jack-7 was an upgrade of the Jack-2 from T2. Or at least that it held the memories of the Jack-2 (later Gun Jack). If it is the same Jack then it has to be more than a year old, at least "mentally"
I find the women’s height weird because Anna Williams was tall af in Tekken 3…she would literally be slightly crouching in their fighting stance and be the same height as most male characters lol
Nah, Kazuya has been resurrected relatively quickly. He was already alive at least 8 years before Tekken 3, since he had to be there for the murder of Eddy's parents (for which Eddy took the blame, per his father's dying wish). Eddy spends 8 years in prison and learns Capoeira, before taking part in the third tournament.
Kings height was always 200 cm and armor king was around 198cm i think. I read that o. Tekken tag tournaments book you get with the cd. Nina was 165 cm.
The current Armor King is not the same Armor King from the first two Tekkens and Tag Tournament. The old Armor King from before Dark Resurrection has been murdered by Marduk before Tekken 4. The new one is his brother, which was explained in Tekken 6.
Regular pandas in standing position height between 150 and 180 cms (yup, they are small bears). Keeps triggering me that Panda in the game is THAT tall lol
