I couldn't possibly convey how awesome this information is. As someone just stepping in off the street into insurance and billing, I found this information crucial. I spent 20 a ridiculous amount of time on hold and engaged in a phone conversation with an insurance company today asking why my claim was denied and they kept repeating they "could not advise me on how to bill my sessions." While I understand this, I was not asking how to bill...l was asking why my claim was denied. They could not help me! Now I understand. How simple! I just needed to change my POS and modifier codes to match up. I am so thankful for finding this guide and can't wait to view the other available resources for doing my own billing. What is the add on code for when the 90791 lasted 2 hours? The client had severe PTSD eith a very long story. I could not cut her off half way through her story. And she had one of the worst stories I've heard in my 25 years of doing this work. Think of the movie Precious but worse.
