This is not a solo sonata... This is written for recorder, viola da gamba, and basso continuo. The harpsichord player is playing unacommpanied, making it a true "trio" sonata. The first movement is actually a three part fugue, if you don't believe me. I personally like the sound of the harpsichord alone, but when the basso plays the subject of the fugue, it comes off a bit inaudible. I think of all basso continuo instruments, the bassoon fits this sonata the nicest.
Very well played. Yet, I wonder if amateurs can play this piece like these three ladies. Everyone knows that Telemann wrote his chamber music for the many thousands of amateurs, who, of course, cannot play as fast as these players.
Looks like a chinese a korean and a japanese playing a guy's music that was born in germany lived in italy and is buried in wesminster abbey. I LOVE it.
