A descriptive video showing how to first time set up Telepathy.
Telepathy is an internet connected lamp which lets you connect with loved ones across physical boundaries.
The video throws light on how to enter the Wi Fi credentials first time and connecting the lamp to internet. What do the different light indications mean in this friendship lamp? And how they make set up very easy and simple.
Telepathy also has a standby light for using it as a general night lamp. This video explains how to activate that.
Moreover, it explains how to enter the color change mode for selecting the color of your choice. This color gets saved in your Telepathy lamp and whenever you touch on it, all connected lamps would glow to this same color. One can change this saved color any time by entering into color change mode again.

The wifi I am using requires both an identity and password, but the sign in site only allows for a password. How can I connect my lamp to this wifi?

By identity do you mean the SSID? if yes, that would be the wifi name displayed. Other wise you can write an email to telepathy@zocivoci.com and we will get back to you very quickly.

When I plug it in it flashes as if it has life but when I "long hold" the button it never turns purple. I've been holding the button down for 5 minutes

Hi. Can you try doing the short press on button switch and see if that makes the lamp yellow? You can write an email to telepathy@zocivoci.com. We will provide a solution.

If we set the e-mail id using home wiFi initially then should we connect only home wiFi everytime or can we connect any available wifi all over the world?

I am trying to connect to my wi-fi and nothing that is supposed to happen is happening. The only thing it's doing is blinking purple. I have the mini.

Dear Sharon, are you able to find a wifi named Telepathy Lamp Portal in your phone wifi? Connect to it and that will auto direct you to a page showing wifi connections available.

Hi Vidhi, Yes the lamps need to be powered in for communication. But it does not consume a lot of power. Even when on, the led inside is only 3W.

They have wifi set up, but when I try to select my color the lamp just flashes. I hold for five seconds and ALL of the lights flash. It doesn't change colors to select. any ides

Is it necessary to connect to wifi? Or can mobile data be used too? Also is it necessary to connect to same wifi all the time for it to function or we can use other wifi sources?

Hello. It can work on any internet source. It can be wifi or mobile data + hotspot. You can change the connected wifi credentials any time and any number of times. Following the same procedure.

You just need to save the wifi credentials first time. After that Telepathy lamp remembers your credentials. It will connect to wifi by itself. You just need internet wifi available.

@@ZOCIVOCIgifts so the phones dont need to be connected to the telepathy wifi every time you want the lamp to work (after the wifi connection has been established on the website) ? just the lamp needs to be powered on?

@@dhwanisharma1172 Hi Dhwani, you just need the phone only for initial set up. It basically gives an interface for you to enter wifi credentials into the lamp. After that the lamp saves your home wifi and you do not need phone at all.

Did it show connected on the phone? Try powering off and on tbe lamp. Wait for 2 minutes. Does it blink green twice?

Mine is doing the same thing. I will only flash purple pink and red and the app says it is connected. I have unplugged multiple times and still no change PLEASE HELP@@ZOCIVOCIgifts
