This was a rollercoaster. Seems like all the votes went to same five countries and the rest were fighting for scraps as usual. I also laughed at our zero points. Not bottom 5 though overall, so I’ll take it lol.

0 for the UK was such a joke. Olly slayed that performance and he is such a talented artist (singer/actor/dancer/composer/pianist). I think maybe some of the countries didn't take kindly to the more overtly sexy acts, because a lot of them ended up with lower scores from the public. I think had he played it more safe he would have gotten a better result (I'm glad he didn't though because screw toning things down the appease the prudish masses). Elated for Nemo though.

10:05 In fact when Yugoslavia won in 1989 the entry was actually from Croatia. (Hence ESC 1990 in Zagreb and not in for example Belgrade.) Many of the Yugoslavian entries prior to 1991 was Croatian.

i was so fucking dissapointed with the results, all of my favourites and my country scored so badly

I almost can't describe how extremely disappointed I feel right now. I have never seen my absolute favorite song end dead last. Pure art, masterpiece, ignored by everyone including the jury.

The scores ended up being quite nice to me (with the one "obvious" exception). Much drama and surprises in the televote, but im here for it (the other kind of drama not so much). UK did deserve some points. Also i was expecting Finland and Norway to get few more, but since all the points concentrated to Top 5 even more than recent few years, it wasn't really a surprise and im happy Finland got Top 20. Im so happy Nemo won. The best and most iconic performance of the night and Song was also top 3 for me this year. This time im kind of happy Juries gave them even more points than to Sweden last year. One of the best winners in recent years (or ever). Kroatia had kind of not-so-special staging even though the song was winner-tier. Overally i ended up happy with the result (unlike last year 😀), hopefully there won't be such chaos next year and Switzerland can host well. I fear for some countries leaving, as it might be too expensive and the current political situation. Switzerland being "notoriously" neutral might help though. Switzerland surely has the money to host Eurovision, but not sure who has money to go there to watch (or participate as country) it 😂 Also potential analysis from he voting rule chance: First ones in the running order have been boosted, while last songs keep high points, but songs in the middle are now the losing ones.

did ever a country recieve so much 12 points like switzerland did from the jury vote? it seemed to me that 90% of the jury put switzerland on top that was crazy!

So glad they didn't go for Televotes only! Zero to UK! It's yet another year where I totally disagree with the televotes. Never skip the jury votes!

Not sure about the idea for the Jury vote to get 'normal' people on. Normal people have already a say in the outcome ( via televotes). I think the juries could give 1-2-3-4-5-7 points, therefor making their impact less domineering but still having some professional input. Could also make the jury vote delivery a bit less hectic with the first points just showing up (my non eurovision friends don't follow the lower points given with only the 12 really getting noticed).

First 3 performers ended up in the top 12 (9th, 3rd and 12th). Maybe the new voting system and the reverse recap is the way to go? Antoher year with less strong countries than Sweden and Ukraine in those spots is needed to prove it worked, but Germany making it that high gives me hope. Also want to say I´m proud of M&M tonight. Performing first as a host country and still making the top 10 is an amazing results. The boys are wonderful and such professional performers!

Is it normal to see big disparities between the relative totals in the televotes of the semi-finals and finals? E.g. it seems weird that in the semi-finals Switzerland finished behind Armenia, but in the finals, received almost 3x as many televote points. I understand things like running order come into play, but this is such a huge swing, I'm curious if this is typical or not.

ESC is in desperate need of a demoscopic vote (33/33/33 split with televote and jury), which would minimise diaspora influence and any other potential politically influenced voting, as well as reducing jury's power (to soften the blow for the televote also having reduced power)

Instead of giving each one at home 20 votes that can be given all of them to one country, why not to change it that each one will rank his top 10 countries? In such way, we will avoid from massive amount of people that will give 20 votes for one country, regardless to the quality of the song

I genuinely believe that Israel actually got the 0 points in the Televote and as a smack in the face to the haters and booing, the EBU swapped Israel and UK 🤷‍♂️ No way would a popular singer like Olly score 0. It doesn’t sit right with me. The result is very sus and I wouldn’t put it past the EBU/jurors to fix the voting. A lot of vote swapping going on 😢

Raging abt Finland. We hadnt seen it till tonigjt and all went crazy when we saw it and voted for it!

After the Jury Voting finished I was afraid we (Germany) don`t manage to get 100 Points overall. Think about it.

Im happy for nemo and relieve because... well we know what. But Im really sad this had to end this way. Once again, the winner of the televote didnt win. Nemo only came 5th with the public. And its sad why it had to be this way. Lets be honest, the jurys did what they needed to do to avoid eurovision being chaos next year, so they had to choose a winner and make sure they couldnt be reach no matter how many points israel had. They were scared of israel winning and they gave nemo such an advantage that was imposible to anyone else to catch them. 22 countries' juries gave them 12 points. Thats the most anyone has had ever, so its pretty obvious. Of course I understand why they had to do it, and I love nemo and the code. But this whole situation stole croatia's first win. And its unfair. In a normal year, without this drama, baby lasagna would have won. And thats so sad. Again, very happy for nemo and Switzerland its gonna be a great host.

Jurors clearly liked Switzerland while people liked Croatia, Ukraine, and Israel.

At 9:17 we knew there were 226 points left and that Switzerland had won. I think Lasagna had done the maths too. I’m pleased that Switzerland won given that Croatian jury was the only one not to give them any points. It does not help to go last these days. Kaleen five televotes in 2024, Mae Muller nine in 2023.

i am wondering when you will one of you finally discuss the Portugal issue. It's been quite a few years in a raw that they keep getting so many points from the juries, but the public seems to strongly disagree. Are we talking about the new Malta here? A competitor of Sweden? And if criticized Malta and -especially- Sweden in the past, why don't we do the same with Portugal? Its obvious that they are cooking results.

It's a shame when we see some good songs have not been qualified on final. I am French, but the French Song was without interest, boring, a "boat , honey and sleeping song". So deception and really disappointed for the countries I admire in this Contest.

So it is bad when people from the public vote in solidarity for Israel (who also had a great performance), but it is totally fine that people have been voting for Ukraine for the last past years out of solidarity (also with great preformances), I don't get it.

I think it is good there is a Jury vote. It is clear the televote is very political that dreary song from Israel being the second most popular song with the public is an incredibly political voting. Israel should not have even have be present and their delegation was abusive to the other delegates. Israel behaved disgracefully and should be banned from the contest for good. I was not anti Israel until these revelations came through. In fact in 2008 I thought Israel should be the winner but their recent behavior has been disgraceful.

I made money betting on Switzerland to win but knowing that Israel's and Ukraine's Televote would impact Croatia. Can anyone think of a solution that removes the bias political public vote from the song contest (and just focuses on the song)?

Its very visible that the televoting was messed up. Its a fake. That is the only reason for having so much points for israel. And btw Portugal was severly punished for having nails painted with palestinian pattern. 13 points cannot be real, as well as other scores of other artists. This year was a shame to Eurovision and i am not following this again if israel is not out and its moroccanoil sponsorship. Its time to change and stop supporting genocide.

I cant see how Nemo won. That was probably my least favorite song in the finals. Last year at least the top 5 were the best songs. This year was weird.
