Aretha is doing lead vocal and playing the piano. The background vocals are done by The Sweet Inspirations, who on this recording are Erma Franklin, her younger sister Carolyn Franklin, and Cissy Houston. The high operatic notes are sung by Cissy Houston. This was the B-side to her hit, "(Sweet Sweet Baby) Since You've Been Gone" and was released in March 1968 on the Atlantic Records label.

No, that was Whitney's mama Cissy Houston showcasing her operatic upper range during Aretha Franklin's bridge and the ending of that track; but what was most impressive for me was the way Aretha Franklin let Cissy eat and leave zero crumbs was amazing because many singers would have felt upstaged. Written by her baby sister Carolyn and with background vocals by the Cissy Houstons group the Sweet Inspirations and also her baby sister Carolyn Franklin with lead vocal and piano by Aretha Franklin definitely a masterpiece

What planet have you two been on that you've never heard this song until now. Your grandparents, parents, uncles and aunts cousins one and twice removed all should be charged with musical education abuse (MEA). Also, a song sung by Aretha should never be paused, reserve comments for after the song played. The Queen deserves no less.
