Season 3 is good enough, how about a mod for the og dark script of season 2

@@Kenny-ep2nf eh, considering how much they tried to make Kenny look bad in the final S2 script, i'm pretty sure these remnants of the og dark script would've felt more finished on the dark script

@@dylanzlol7293 how does Kenny look bad in the final season 2 script? If anything he's purely justified. But I agree it would be interesting to explore the dark season 2 script originally planned by the writers

@@Kenny-ep2nf i said "tried", the game kept making him suddenly lash out and make him look like an aggressive cunt whenever the "Wholesome Clem time" time ended, even through, as you may know, S1 Kenny wasn't THAT aggressive, Then the Kenny vs Jane fight, as you probably could know, in the game files, there are animations and a scrapped choice of "[shoot Jane]" that basically shows that Jane originally was about to stab Kenny, instead of the usual "Kenny is about to stab Jane", you had the choice to either shoot kenny or Jane, not shooting either of them would cause Kenny to eventually outmatch Jane and kill her himself, like the OG one, but as usual, people kept choosing Kenny so they changed the cutscene a bit and removed the shooting jane option, so, the devs knew that people would prefer to defend Kenny over Jane and instead of doing something about it and make Jane more loved, they instead just made Kenny look worse. Basically the game tried to demonize Kenny and incite you into being against him, I have a theory that this aggressive Kenny were remnants of the original "Kenny as Carver" idea they used to have in the Dark S2 script, and didn't have enough time to fully create a new storyline, therefore the end result is seeing S1 Kenny exist then, without any transition at all, suddenly act like the "Kenny as Carver" version of himself

With custom cutscenes how would we be able to add dialogues in there?

I did yeah. I had heard of but never saw the bar graph/choice metre thing before, that was pretty interesting but I had already seen the full length morgue video a long time ago. I realise I probably should have tossed in the old UI icons in the S1 cut content continued video but I missed it. I am working on something now but I can't make any promises to how soon I'll get something out. Appreciate the comment though.

Hey man, thanks for replying. Been watching your videos for a while now. I had a conversation with Jake Rodkin regarding 400 Days, he couldn’t confirm (because of bad memory 10 years later) what Tavia’s chapter was, just that the ending was different. I know through your videos what was planned, but wanted to know if he remembered anything else from 400 Days original story beats. He also made some comments regarding the Clementine’s brother story, basically that her brother had gotten in trouble in the neighborhood/with the police before the season began and that led to influencing Lee’s story indirectly. Roughly something bad happened to Clem’s brother and it would catch up to him similar to Lee. Not on the same level of seriousness though, as Lee was a convicted felon and Clem’s brother’s vices were most likely petty misdemeanors or something on that level. He almost mentioned the start of episode 1 would begin with Clem yelling at her brother saying his friend pulled her hair and he would be, you guessed it, a zombie. The Clem brother stuff always was interesting but it seems it was never fleshed out past this. So i doubt there’s any scrpits, concept art or anything like that for this character or even a voice actor as it was so early in development. I’m glad we got Lee, but they could’ve reused the idea of a brother/sister relationship for later seasons, not for Clem but new characters, as it’s an interesting story. Two young siblings trying to protect each other and controlling the older sibling and making tough choices that impact the younger one for the better is an intersting narrative that could’ve been explored. It seems as though Telltale didn’t like writing for pre extisting relationships as they gave up on Clem’s brother idea and instead used a fresh relationship that grows through out the story, they did this again by picking Rebecca and Alvin over Omid and Christa, and again in S3 by picking the garcias over who you chose in to go with in S2. They really hated maintaing relationships pre exitsting or not, and it seems their thought process was always start from scratch or kill them off and replace them.

In regards to what you’re working on now, is there anything you can say as to what it’ll about? If you want to maintain the element of surprise, that’s okay.

I’m hoping maybe he can finally share what the scrapped dark story was for season 2. The one where apparently Kenny was the bad guy, 400 days characters had more involvement, the unused city, etc. that would be awesome since season 2 had a lot of loose ends when it came to the development process.

Yesterday Violet and David (the two working on this mod) had a big ol’ falling out on the Discord server. Violet being the owner turned into a “tyrant” (her words, not mine) and start banning people and pinged everyone. Now David is no longer in the server and Violet seems to have plans on either deleting it or selling it. It’s a true shame.

@@kyleturner7309 Okay, that sounds rough. I hope nothing genuinely bad happened because of this incident thing (?). It’s a pity that we probably won’t see the mod, but I feel that’s how most fan creations end up anyway...

@@yourrandomperson Yeah, I’m sure there was more leading up to this point but I was pinged last night on the Discord and that’s what I saw. I’m hoping one of the people working on it tries to save the mod, from what I know the code is now open source so if anyone has the motivation they could probably finish themselves!

@@kyleturner7309 Wow, that’s surprisingly good news! I’m not sure how many people were really interested/invested in this project, but if there’s a chance to save the mod, I hope someone comes forward and manages to do it.

Honestly that would probably have to be done hand made cuz the models seem to be wayy diff from s1/s2

I wouldn't be surprised if he moved on by now. I hope I'm wrong, but if 9 months later he still hasn't shared the big video he was working on, it's highly doubtful he ever will :(

We would finally have a Larry that would shut the hell up for 3 seasons unless he wants to get put out on the road with his daughter either way is fine with me. I’m just gonna assume his heart attack made him unable to speak . And ta da, obedient Larry

@@kennel878Xx I was thinking about Larry still getting his skull mashed by Kenny. But Kenny wouldn't be (too much) of a bitch and accept that you're still a friend. And when you still take friendly actions with him, he values them and doesn't go at the end with "I don't know, you didn't had my back *that one time"*

@@AstorEzequiel I always find that stupid the devs made Kenny a stuck up ass if you don’t side with him on killing Larry . Like I don’t understand why the choice between Hershel’s sons and duck and defending duck in the pharmacy store too from Larry should seal the deal with Kenny’s respect in my opinion

@@kennel878Xx There's a "friend system" in the game that counts points and gives you certain outcomes. I think you need something like 10 or more points to have a friendly Kenny. But if you do all the positive actions except helping killing Larry nor Ben, you end up with Neutral Kenny with 9.5 points *9 . 5 points* I'm not sure if it was an oversight, but I hope someone in the mod community manages to change the system a little bit and making certain actions to count (Like feeding duck at the Motel) and makes Kenny have more of a neutral dialogue after the farm if you either side with _the woman whose name I don't remember_ in the freezer or when you do nothing at all.

Only if the files exist for it (the fishtraps in Season 2 Episode 1 and Sam eating Clem's hat QTE for example can be reenabled). Unfortunately for most of TWD they only ever left in one or two animations, never fully unactivatable scenes unlike in The Wolf Among Us.

@@InColdBloodTTG Hey man I absolutely love your content so I do hate to ask but is there any way you can change the thumbnail of the Season 2 scrapped menus video? I love watching the multitude of videos on The Walking Dead's cut content but it's hard to go back to that particular video due to the rather unsettling picture of Clem smiling, eyes closed with blood on her face lol. It's okay if not though and it's glad to see you back!

From what I understand it's on pause and might be resumed in the future. There are some other projects in the works like a Kenny game.You can check the discord for more info.

At the moment no, it's mostly centered around TWD and the engine for Batman S1 is outdated so it's not clear the work can carry over. Maybe in the future it could be possible.

They're not videos, just little clips that were sent to me that David used while playing around with the game.
