You can see the eggs shell and the thin protective layer preventing it from rotting for a very long time. That is why if you have chickens you shouldn’t wash off the eggs cuz it gets rid of that thin protective layer. They also don’t have to be refrigerated. Storebought eggs should be refrigerated.
