Let’s not forget that Temtem (on full release) will come out for PC, PlayStation, Xbox, AND the Switch. Whereas standard Pokémon games have always been on Nintendo hardware and will continue to be. We’ve never had an experience this complete similar to Pokémon on other platforms. There are rumors that it’ll be crossplay at release as well. If that’s the case, it could be a game changer. Especially since it’s an MMO as well.

When the Tem Tem run out of Stamina they begin to hurt themselves? That's sounds like it's a Struggle to run out of Stamina.

I like that one of the monsters is kept outside (like in Soul Silver and the Let's Go games, I wished that was kept)

Temtem is inspired by pokemon now hopefully in the coming years Pokemon will be influenced by Temtem.

The double battles are NOT because of co op play, it's for strategy. You just talked about co op. There's synergy and combo moves that are critical

It's gonna be a lot of people who are going to pretend to care about this for one month just to spite Pokemon Sword/Shield, and then flock back to Gamefreak when they squat something new out. I've seen this sort of thing before.

Level grinding is inconvenient game design? It's not supposed to be an inconvenience, but rather a sort of life simulation. You perform a task repeatedly to gain experience with that skill. Leveling up is like hitting small milestones where your progress is noticeable. When someone is too strong, you go back and train. Defeating an opponent should give you a sense of satisfaction because you put in the time and effort to better yourself and were rewarded for it. This is one of the problems they actually fixed that is present in recent Pokemon games. They are too easy. There's no reason to train your pokemon, in fact, just playing through all the content as intended makes you too strong. So, the fact that you actually have to put an effort into this game is a welcome addition. I should also point out that videogames are a medium meant for passing time. You should fully enjoy a game and let it take as long as it needs rather than worrying about how much time it takes up.

Dont get me wrong pokemon Sw&Sh are great games but they didn't exactly push the genre forward im hoping this does well so gamefreak gets the message.

You can catch them The devs are saying it's inspired by pokemon They have shinies They have gyms And even then there are people that say this isn't a pokémon clone

I would also like to mention that they got rid of some rng that pokemon had like crits and misses which is nice but there is a move that can put them to sleep and some temtem have a pasive ability that can attack sleeping temtem without waking them up, i feel like thats gona be the meda

They basically did what GameFreak can’t. This game is absolutely amazing and it has so much personality

Buying this instead of SwSh because GameFreak are a bunch of lazy fuckers milking money from a popular franchise while this looks like a game that was actually made with passion. Also, we need more competitors in the pocket monsters mmo genre.
