Yup. Thier server can't handle the large amount of players right now. I'm curious about the endgame. In Pokemon you need to be a Champion to finish the game and proceed to the post game. I wonder how they do this 🤔🤔🤔
Fun fact: The platypus temtem is actually a Pokémon who was “leaked” and would appear to be in Pokémon Sun and Moon, but later was deconfirmed. Edit: I got a bit mixed up in my head. It was for Sword and Shield. Thank you to the generous people telling me the info.
The rights to the fake Pokemon was purchased by a streamer (PokeNinja) who submitted it as his Temtem after purchasing the Breeder tier which allowed you to submit your own Temtem design
For those of you who still concerned about them: The server issues have largely been resolved. They do still occasionally occur- I won't lie about that. But they are very very rare, and the wait times are far less than they were on release day one or two. The game is fine being online.
I think this is because they went in between mmo and single player, mmo is fun sure, but this just feel so cramped. As alpha says, with the bad rating SwSh got, people went and glorified the game, it's a good marketing sure, but it they didn't anticipated the massive player that wanted to play this.
One of the first things the professor(?) says to you is that he won the second temtem in a bar fight. 10/10 best game not afraid to have mature themes.
I now can't stop imagining the professor drunkenly beating the shit out of someone else in a bar and just taking their pet while the other person is knocked out on the floor
this is how the professors give out starters in randomizers. they just go into the streets and throw a couple of things into balls and then they just see what happens
In the Japanese releases of red and green the guy who stopped you going into viridian forest did so because he was drunk and hadn't sobered up yet. In the west it was changed because they didn't think people would react well to it.
Alpharad: oh it’s my friendly rival but hopefully she’s not friendly His rival: alpharad isn’t that good at handling temtem Alpharad: shut up you bit--
“Here’s our friendly rival” Max: literally smears your name making you a wanted criminal, calls you a bitch every chance he gets and is probably directly responsible for WW1
@@pooppooper9033 Yeah! It's pretty awesome. The Kickstarter allowed people of a certain tier to design some Temtem. It's even better because the platypus was officially a part of TemTem before the "leak"" even happened.
Well the title is not wrong, even now. Is it the new Pokémon? Yes. Is it a "Pokemon Killer"? No. Once you're done with Temtem, you'll play other games, same with pokemon
@@mondelsson Pokemon (or from what I see, Japanese companies, from that matter) aren't really as receptive in fan feedback and want to make things on their own (and see who wants to receive it)?
Since the summer. It was on kickstarter first and boom now it's here. This is only the early access build and they're going to continue updating it to the point where it's getting a console release either late this year or early next.
Fun fact: The Blue Platypus was actually a fan submission thru the kickstarter. It cost them like...$6,000 USD or something. The origins of the Blue Platypus is actually as a fake Pokémon Starter Leak.
I feel like I’d really enjoy this game if it was possible to turn off the online features. Seeing everyone run around is just annoying, and if your internet isn’t amazing then you can’t even play the damn thing.
Temtem: *Is different from Pokémon* Alpharad: *Uses music from the Pokémon games* Edit: This is probably the most likes I've ever had on a comment. Edit: If this reaches 2K likes I'll blow my head off.
Evan Warner lol true the music and the gameplay are the only things Pokémon have left, and even then temtem is able to replicate, yet deviate on the Pokémon formula in such a way that has just kept me engaged. I mean... uhhhhhh...m-megalovania!! Haha!
Part of the reason Platypet looks good is because it was originally a part of a fake leak about Sword/Shield who owner sold the rights to a person who then baked the game and choose the option to put a creature in the game Edit: Sorry it was Sun/Moon my mistake
Now that I've seen this quote for the umpteenth time, I just realized that "reduced to atoms" means that they just dissolved into pure elements. I wonder if half the world's population disintegrating caused any amount of pollution? I need science, ugh PS quote was 👌🏻
Elliot G You’ve got the context of the quote wrong. In that scene he’s not talking about the people he snapped, he’s talking about the stones after he destroyed them.
The first and second entries were games. And then the third entry was an anime. And then there was another game. And there was an anime adaptation of the first game. It’s more complex than it needs to be, honestly.
Fun fact, hot dog water is the name of a side character in a show called, "Scooby Doo, Mystery Incorperated," which is a revival of the Scooby Franchise, in which a group of teenagers try to solve mysteries accompanied by a talking dog, which is named Scooby Doo. The name hot dog water is a nickname of the character, the original name is Marcy. The nickname is diprived from the fact that Marcy smells like hot dogs, and it is later revealed that Marcy's father reuses the water that is used to wash hotdogs in his amusement park to use as shower water, making them smell like hot dogs.
People in the comments are like "game crashes, needs offline." Its. Early access. They have expanded the servers to 30k now bc its so crowded. They are fixing most bugs and are really dedicated and work hard. Also the game isn't that heavy for the pc even as the graphics are very light. Other players also keep "vanishing" and connecting to other servers and its really fluid. Like, it doesn't feel i am cramped with only x amount of people, the ones i see running around differs the whole time.
@@pokyysenpai412 They've been pushing out daily patches for a week after release and bi-daily since then, they've fixed most of the bugs and the server problems.
The climate was a lot different when Yokai came out in America too though. There was a much less divided fan base at the time, so I do think that TemTem has some sort of chance to make waves.
5:30 When you try to balance the game by taking out RNG, but it breaks the game instead. Alpharad: "Sequelitis, Mega man! Mega man!" -Alpharad quotes Sequelitis in 2020...
@@Jaice00 I mean I havent looked too much into this game but I'd imagine it would balance it in a similar way, also the problem in this video is in doubles so low stats doesnt really matter if you are talking about the way it is being used in this video where one pokemon pummels while one sleeps the opponent
@@mango2450 it is much better balanced, the only temtem that can hit a sleeping temtem without waking him up is this mental Pokemon. And it´s always doubles which means there are many other ways to wake up+ you can spam hypnosis, you can´t use it even 2 turns in a row it is a high stamina move, therefor you really have to think when to use it. Temtem is all about competitive and is 10 times more balanced then pokemon ever was. This is all I wanted from Pokemon for years
I can't wait for people to fight over TemTem, get angry over the lack of most of the creatures from the previous games, and rant about the textu.... wait a minute
@@MawileMage Big fucking whoop? All the NPCs in the game refer to you as "you" anyway. A bit pointless to include pronoun choice, but EVEN MORE pointless to complain about it!
I mean, if they decide to continue with this as a franchise, and don't learn from Pokemon's numerous mistakes, it's pretty much on them if they fail and/or get that kind of backlash.
Right now it's early access so the instability is gone when the game goes full release. Because people who bought the game in early access can point out bugs.
It’s quite ironic that Alpharad recommended this to Wolfe’s and all he got was a non playable experience. You can finally catch both Temtem in doubles? Dang, this quirk has irked me for generations.
remember to appreciate sakurai instead of harassing him over byleth or simply just play a different game than smash if you're that mad also stan dracovish
Nice, and I fully agree because the moveset is epic and I have not heard of terry before and he‘s my main now so It really doesn‘t matter what char. comes In as long as the moveset is hype (:
With this whole temtem craze going on right now, I feel like that person who _wants_ to be let into the party at the hottest club yet also *_doesn't care_* about the party at the hottest club at the same time.
@@countgoopoo9466 It's a very weird phenomenon for my mind lol I can't explain it like I want to try it, it sounds dope but also at the same time I DON'T. CARE and....it's weird I've never felt so numb over something yet also intrigued it's bizarre lol
From my perspective 1- I'd love to try and play it 2- there's so much buzz about it being the "new pokemon", "pokemon but better", that I just lose the urge to play it It a rollercoaster of emotions between the actual game and the hype it's getting
Says "How am I gonna clutch it out if I can't even spin the wheel?!" then shows a clip of Dracovish using fishious rend ending M2K's career. Okay Alpharad, I see how you play
7:35 You think that's cute? Wait till you see the Umishi. It won my heart with just a single look at its face. You are right, though, the Platypet does look cute.
John I was playing an online tournament in ultimate and I saw someone called TheMadDawg, sadly I lost before I could reach them but it was either an alpharad fan or Mad Dawg himself
That's definitely one of the cons of TemTem, in my opinion, being online hinders the game more than help it. I know people have always wanted Pokémon to turn to an MMO(because why not, right?), but the drawback of a game always being online can usually make it unplayable for most. Server issues, queues, lag, limited access(especially if you're a Switch player), etc. I'll probably get the game, but wait awhile in hopes they expand the servers, but I really don't see this being the NEW Pokémon replacement, if anything just a nice Pokémon fix till the DLCs come out.
Well the game is still early access. This release was meant to stress test the servers and apparently on the first day they fixed issues in real time so I assume it will get better. They probably didn't expect as many people to be on as they got
