Would I recommend this doorbell? I cant say yes or no, it depends on your use case and how much you want to spend.
I would call this a land lord special if you know what I mean.
However that aside, I quite fancy it and might use if for a significant time into the future. Thank you for watching!

I watched another RU-vid video on how to install it and I’m a woman and I did it in 10 minutes easy and it works well. It’s budget but I’m keeping it. I’m not getting them more expensive one not worth it to me.

I got this just as a doorbell ( named somet else). i thought i try it out and i was impressed with the camera features. For 5 squid. You cant go wrong. Its not fab as a camera but it does the job. As a normal doorbell its brilliant. After using this for a few months am considering buyjng a better one as am getting used to seeing and talking to people at the door.

I 💯 agree. I'll be replacing mine soon. Works fantastic as a doorbell. And the Wireless range helps when I have guests over. I plug the doorbell receiver into a battery bank and keep it in my yard when I have a party 🤣🤣

@@cleopatrasunshine6783 heya! So there should be a manual to use, basically for the one I have, it had its own hotspot, download the App Kement, connect to the doorbell hotspot, then it will ask your wifi details, wait for it to sync and you are done.

@@BudgetTechUKYT Thank you for your reply ! I scanned the QR code and did all the steps ,but the binding failed , I think we have 4G wifi , maybe that is the problem . or maybe my Iphone is the problem . either way it isn’t workung for me😅

Quick question on the install for this (and other IoT devices). Most only support 2.4 Ghz and sometimes not great, older security protocols. How do you get around setting these up when you run into these types of devices? My router doesn't give me a ton of options to disable 5 Ghz and modify security protocols, but I have tried setting up a DLink wall plugin WiFi extender in order to try and get it to use only that access point since it is only 2.4Ghz. Still no luck.

Hi again, great question! My answer to that would be never dab down on security especially on your main router. Keep it as locked down as possible. If I was you, I would get a HAP lite from Mikrotik, you can set these up with various protocols to connect your devices and then do Mac Whitelisting (I made a video about it, I'll share if you want it) so that even if your security has been dabbed down to support older devices you still would need to be allowed in the ARP table to connect. 💪

@@masnecia so I don't see anything about recording. Unfortunately it's only a £5 camera. Ofcourse you can run the app on a PC and use obs to record. But that's going a bit far 🤣

I just got this as a birthday present. It works pretty well for the price. However, I don't feel too cool about installing the Chinese APP on my phone. I guess you can use it without the phone, and just as a "dumb" wireless doorbell, but the whole point is the camera function, so I'm debating if I will keep it.

@@BudgetTechUKYT soused it I had to put my mesh system into 2.4ghz only mode for setup and then I changed it back to 2.4ghz and 5ghz. So it’s working but video is very choppy.
