Halloween 4 is my favorite of the franchise. I feel most of the criticism is aimed at the mask but I don't mind it. There is something very eerie about how blank the mask is.
This was the first Halloween movie I saw and the one that got me into the franchise. I saw this on a dvd that my grandmother had that also came with Halloween 5. My mother asked my grandmother to babysit me in the early 2000s and before she had to go out somewhere I asked her if I could watch this and agreed but my grandmother was not too pleased with me watching it lol. However she watched them with me so that's a cool memory to have.
I would like to have seen them go with Etchison’s Halloween 4. I’ve read the screenplay, and heard it performed on audio. It’s creepy, and it’s more reminiscent, in mood, of Halloween III, and The Fog. Loved it.
This is another of my favourite Halloween films. About a year ago i watched the audio commentary for this with Danielle Harris and Ellie Cornell, they gave quite a lot of interesting details too. I'd certainly be interested in seeing the script Carpenter wanted for this, but personally i don't think it would come close to being as good as what we got.
This was a cool video! Halloween 4 is my favorite Horror Movie but that Ghost Myers pitch def seems interesting…. They should have did that for Halloween 5 instead of what we got with that haha
I personally think it’s wild that universal had Halloween & chucky sequel made but due to them not wanting to take the rights never owned them together. Could have made childs play 3 a chucky v Michael. If only Halloween 3 was given the love it deserved
Very interesting facts! I didn't know about any of these. Definitely the right decision changing Danielle's character's name. The stuff about John almost making Halloween 4 with Cannon films is awesome, I'd like to read that script.
Those were some really cool facts about Halloween 4 I never heard about the Cannon Films trying to get Michael Myers it would have been interesting I think what we ended up with was great but I know not everybody likes the post movie scene were Jamie becomes the killer it was an effective shocking scene
it's funny, because in H6 Myers doesn't actually die, in either version of the film. I think Myers would not return, rather Danny or even Jamie's son Stephen as the new "Myers".
Man I want to hear more about the Etchison Halloween 4. I like the idea of a supernatural theme. I’m gonna have to look into that. I really can’t wait to hear some things about 5 and 6
I would’ve loved all those different pitches except for Meeker being killed and Jamie being known as Britti, the ghost thing would’ve been nice to see kind of like The Fog without the pirates or the full dialogue of the security guard telling the nurse and doctor the history of the patients at the asylum that right there tells the ambulance crew that they’re dealing with someone who is insane and should take every precaution in the book or wind up dead
Myers doesn’t know what his niece looks like or lived yet he’s parked the ambulance across from her house a call back to Laurie seeing him znd the wagon across the street
