You captured it beautifully. As a Tibetan who escaped from Tibet and was raised in Dharamsala, your short documentary took me back for a while. You touched on every aspect of the socio-cultural situations of Tibetans in Dharamsala. Thank you. I look forward to seeing more content like this.
You would feel so pissed off if you have watched the videos by so many foreigners of their travel experience in Tibet: all those escapees are struggling in surviving in India or Nepal while Tibetans in Tibet are living very rich and comfortable lives; while the infrastructures in India is like shitholes but that in Tibet is first class.
@@talkthetalk3798 infra is there but no freedom lol. Also funny how you think the foreigners are showing the "real" Tibet like the ccp will allow that 🤣
@@Peter-be5lo Yeah! No freedom to sell drugs, mass shooting in public, and no freedom to dig in the India-styled shithole. But they do have more freedom in selling their animals for good money, government subsidized housing, solar power, cell phone signals no matter how remote they are in addition to roads and all other infrastructures. Looking at the mansions Tibetan people have definitely make me jealous.
My country India says you can live if you want to live in India, but sometimes the government forget to take care of them. So people who migrate in India facing so many problems to get a job or visa because they are migrant. As a Indian i'm sorry but we can't blames government, as a Indian it's also hard to get a job for me. India growing slowly, In India has so many migreat like Chinese, Pakistanis, Nepali, African etc. btw I have a lots of Nepali friends afterall I just request to government please take care of them. Thank you for the video ❤ thanks for your good work. Peace 🕊️
Tibetans came to India as refugees and they stayed as one more precious gem in the beautiful garland of different Indian ethnic peoples. ❤ our Tibetan community and grateful for what they have brought to India.
Wish across the world refugees were like this..calm, peaceful, respectful and therefore Indians love coming to this town to experience the Tibetan culture...I have been here and it is beautiful...on other side may be Indians like this as Buddhism religion has originated in India.. Many teaching such as non violence etc. were traditionally strongly respected in India (especially during early independence days)..

@@malorybertie8046 you have no shame, such lies ? its china who attacked india in 1962. But CCP cant rule for long. Someday chinese people will standup for democracy and then peace will prevail in tibet .
The most sad part is you still think Chinese and Tibet' people have not freedom. As we all know, all of people have ears, eyes, but a lots of people like you still as a blind and deaf people.Maybe you are poor,if you have money you can travel Tibet by yourselves and find the facts, instead of as a kid speak the wrong things on the Internet.😊 Or maybe you just a AI.😊

Hi Jimmy. Came across your channel a few days ago and been binge watching your videos ever since. You have a great style of presenting these stories. If you ever wanna visit the city of Hyderabad in Southern part of India, I'll be very glad to host you.
Brother don't worry what people say about you every people is not bad or every people is not good but there is some one who love you as me❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤from india
Unfortunately, nepal has been the worst place for tibetan refugees due to nepal puppet policies towards chinese . They are not given any govt approved identification, making their work and travel hard . Peaceful protest is not allowed for tibetan refugees, and the celebration of Dalai Lama is banned in nepal.

@@cloudwithwind574 我只覺得他英文好像怪怪的…… " like you should visit northeast bc they look similar to us and have a unique culture",有看出來嗎? like是這樣用的嗎? "you should visit more diverse places to explore india's diversity"→ you should visit more (different) places to explore the diversity of India~ 這樣說來的話,這個人中英文都不大溜呀……

Hope one day People's Republic of China and Dalai Lama can settle their issues with each other and also India and China get a new border treaty to settle their border disputes. With that the movement of people between North India and Tibet will be much easier in legal terms.
Never happen til CCP exists..! They just want to pressurise other countries and constantly keep them in war mode so they don’t progress..! cheap communists mentality
There are Many Tibetan people who even work in Government of India.. they're are in good position in India... Tibetans are not only in Dharamsala, they're all over India and they live peacefully..
There's a big Tibetan Buddha temple in my city Dehradun.. before Dharamshala Dalai Lama resided in Mussoorie, that's why we have many Tibetan settlements here.❤
Tibetian is all Indian influenced.Hans Chinese have no history of Tibet.leave the ppl alone .Lhasa is all Hans now .do u see the tibetian are happy in India no cpp camp there taking there culture away.
No evidence regarding that. One flimzy evidence often cited is the accords of persian invasions, who considered the hill kingdoms (states of Himachal and Uttarakhand ) to be that of china. They had little to no controle there. If we look at the very history of these areas, these usead to be occupied by Tribals during time of Mahabharata, made small "janpads" (sort of large villages) and then assimilated into kingdoms in following later times. Nearly all of these were later controled by mauryas, mughals, kushans, Marathas, Rajputs at some point. These areas are known to have significant movement of people from and to tibet, often for trade and pilgrimage. Later, britishers took control of the entire subcontinent, including these. After independence, indian govt merged them into 1 country, often through diplomatic preassure. After indo china war, the drade routs between these states and Tibet were closed, putting an end to centuries long trade and pilgrimages for people on both sides. Culturally, these areas have a culture and dilect continuum, more tibetan like in trans himalayas, to typical "pahari" with touch of adjoining plains in shivalik hills. The difference is also felt from west to east, but is more regarding former kingdoms than indo-tibet stuff. In a nutshell, we dont have any such evidence that these were parts of Tibet. Much bigger is, even if they were, that doesn't matter any longer. What matters is people's lives, freedom, culture, health. Any initiative on joining it with tibet or saparatism or wutever, will only bring harm to its people.
According to the Indians, the Dalai Lama is considered a guru. However, many people are unaware of his true identity and are confused about who he really is. Despite this, they still show him respect. It’s important to remember that respect is a valuable trait to have, regardless of whether or not you fully understand someone’s identity
I can understand the heart of Tibetans, Tibet will be their home. I hope they can see their home in person one day and hopefully gain back the respect/ freedom once again
What did you accept from this Chinese men 🤣 this kinda video have it's own perpose. We Uttrakhandi and Himanchali give land to any tibati or ladhaki because of our caltural similarities. Only coz Hindu like Buddhist ppl. I have seen many tibeti sister live happily but the quest of going home is different. We can give them love, place but not their Ancestors land.
If both good and bad people live in the society, then it is okay. As far as racism is concerned, it happens everywhere in the world. In the name of Somewhere in the name of religion, somewhere in the name of (colour. Face, height, countries ethnicity ). I have heard that there is racism in Korea too. 좋은 사람과 나쁜 사람이 모두 사회에 산다면 괜찮습니다. 인종차별에 관한 한, 이는 전 세계 어디에서나 발생합니다. 어딘가의 이름으로, 종교의 이름으로, 어딘가에서
Nowadays, there is no need to walk across the Himalayas. All the Tibetans in China need is a passport, a visa and a plane ride to any part of India or the rest of the world. Tibetans in China enjoyed a much higher standard of living than those in India.
We are blessed to have Dalai Lama and the peaceful Tibetan people in our country.. India is their country too.. I love them and respect them..! I wish our govt gives them more opportunities and reservations in some kind of education and work..
yeah ,India keeps him and other 55000 Tibetan exiles but lost 1.4billion Chinese's trust instead .the damage between India and China needs 100 years to repair .India has suffered too much for keeping this person ,it's the fact .
Number of Tibetan crossing Himalayas decreased because of military stand off between India and China. Recently one lady came to India and tell what China is doing to Tibetan over there.
India should not have allowed China to take over Tibet ! Never. Tibet has Mt Kailash / Manasarovar which has been sacred for Indians for thousands of years ! Now Indians are not allowed there ! What the hell, China !
Many of these Tibetans came over twenty years ago or earlier. However, the majority of these exiled Tibetans were descendants of those who left China in the 1959 exodus and the sixties. Then China was poor. Today, it is a different story. China is prosperous and the GDP per capita of Tibet is five times higher than that of India. It is unthinkable today that Chinese Tibetans would even consider trekking across the Himalayas to India. Life is good in Xizang (Tibet) today. I was in Lhasa in 2015. It was already a vibrant city then. Today it is even better. The Tibetan Autonomous Region has a state-of-art infrastructure and Chinese Tibetans live in high-rise apartments and drive SUVs. In 2018, Tibet with Chongqing scored the highest growth in GDP compared to Shanghai and Beijing. Amazing.
They left Tibet not China. The reason they left Tibet was not because China was poor but because China occupied and oppressed Tibetans so intensity that they were forced to spy even on family members as policy to completely destroy the Tibetan people. There is no doubt China and Tibet has become better economically now but under Xi Jinping life is becoming harder due to crack down. Less Tibetans are crossing the Himalyas due to two reasons - Xi Jinping control on the border as you know his cameras in public places can identify any individual among crowds of thousands in few seconds - Economy has improved a lot Now Xi is trying to eradicate Tibetan language by forcing Tibetan kids from toddler onwards to read, write and speak only in Chinese aka Mandarin only. Tibetan language is forbidden in schools. Those teaching Tibetan are punished as counter revolutionary. Even Tibetan monks are forced to teach Tibetan Buddhism to Tibetan in Chinese by translating Tibetan into Chinese. Isn't is strange. If Chinese were told to study Chinese in English or any foreign language?
very true , before there was the internet , Most of those so called tibetan refugees thought India was rich . At one time there were more than 100,000 tibetans in India probably before the internet. but now there are less than 30,000 tibetans in India. Most of them are leaving India for western countries and these days tibetans in China just visit India for pelgrimage and returns to China . Tibetan community in India will go extinct just like chinese community in kolkata . After a decade or two Belgium will have more tibetans than India .
Sad. Everyone wants to back to their birthplace. Me too. I am living in a foreign country for most of my life. I am happy here but I want to die in my birthplace. Yet, I think it is impossible.
stop your stupid 50cent propaganda and read the 10000 years history of India. British only occupied 400 out of 10000 years. India will never be as weak as it was 400yrs back.
