Lanzarote all day long. Not as hectic as Tenerife more laid back and chilled. Having said that all the Canaries Islands during the winter months are fantastic.
That Lance is a good looking chap lol .Great to meet you Kevin .my hero you made my birthday lol ..sorry we missed you we went to watch the Villa in the dog and duck and yes that bar is a fantastic place all the very best Kevin
Lanzarote … was in Fuerteventura oct past went to playa blanca on ferry..liked it so I will be there in June ..gran canaria in feb…maybe will bump into you some time kev
Kev.... great video and Merry Christmas when it comes... I have been to both but I love Lanzarote... 4 times I have been there and will be returning in 2024... always stayed in Cinco Plaza you pay for what you get.... great video again my friend...
We prefer Tenerife cos there's more places for us to visit & like to stay in Los Cris. There are some good tourist attractions in Lanz for anyone who hasn't been before. Hope you're enjoying a rest & Merry Christmas to you Kevin 🎄🎅S&J 🐘
got a nice meal in the american indian cafe kevin , stayed at the lancelot hotel arricife nice hotel ,quieter there,,but got bus down to carmen,,,,great holiday ,,,,
Really like the look of Puerto Del Carmen. As you say if they had more bars and restaurants down by the beach then it would really take it to the next level as right now it seems to just be one massive strip.
I’ve been to Tenerife a lot but am trying Lanzarote for the first time in June 2024 with my wife, daughter, son-in-law and 2 young grandchildren. Staying in a villa for a week then all inclusive for the second week. Looking forward to visiting some of your recommendations.
Flight times all depend on the tail wind Kevin. We have got to TFS in 3.5 hrs years ago due to a northerly jet stream of over 120 mph.Controversial but for us it’s Tenerife as there is far more variety nd definitely less windy and more spectacular scenery if you go up to Tiede/Masca etc
I've been to Teguise a nice resort but quieter than PDC l have just turned 66 so a proper OAP 😁but want a more lively resort PDC gives you that option it's there if you want but horses for courses 😁
Hello!! I'm here lol and no comment on the subject haha!! Let me know if you want places to stay in PDC for €45/50 a night lol. If everywhere was like Cafe La Ola then it would be too expensive, Jake the saxophone player plays at a few places along the strip throughout the week. I would class Matagorda as another resort, and maybe Los Pocillos, so you can walk between resorts in Lanzarote, but if you walk between them like you do in Tenerife, unless you know you are in a different one, you wouldn't know, so it doesn't matter, that's a negligible point I think
Hi Kevin. I’ve been to Lanzarote 17 times. I really love it. I decided to try Tenerife for a change for the first time this year and I actually prefer it!(Feel like such a Lanzarote traitor!) 😅 IMO there is more to see and do in Tenerife. The only negative is it is pricier than Lanzarote. Enjoy rest of your trip! 😊
Lanzarote for sure! We stayed in Costa Adeje in October and our hotel balcony overlooked a group of homeless men that set up camp opposite our room. The smell of urine hit us every day so couldn't use the balcony. Accommodation is so much better in Lanzarote too. Our hotel was a 4 star family hotel and was really disappointed.
Tenerife all day. Way better hotels to choose from and less cloudy n windy. Throw in El Duque and La Caleta to the three main resorts and that’s some amazing picturesque walk. Better restaurants too.
For me the Canaries are a destination to go outwith the main summer season. For me the vibe of Lanza will always be my favourite❤ but I did enjoy my first February break in Playa Paraiso this year and will definitely go back. The hotel suited me for what I was looking for at that time of year…ie do nothing, AI, just chill by the sea🤣🤣 Whereas in PDC I enjoy all the lovely sea view restaurants/bars so prefer an apt or private villa stay. Thinking of changing things up from now on… February: Playa Paraiso AI, Summer: Benalmadena/ Nerja SC, ( Love these resorts too❤️) October: Lanza SC. I just can’t go by Spain😂😂🇪🇸
We’ve been going las America’s for years as a family of 4 but missing this year it’s getting to rowdy now with young ones even down the golden mile can notice a difference Lanzarote for us now more family friendly and much quieter and laid back, plus much more affordable for families
I'll pick Play Blanca over anywhere else on the planet, to be honest. My wife and I lived there for 2 1/2 years and loved every minute of it. I spent a day in Santa Cruz and found it to be too built up and a bit grubby. It's a personal preference, for sure, so I'm not going to say one is better than the other besides what I prefer.
100% Tenerife, crazy as it is every time in Lanzarote the wind blows 💨 😂…. It does seem a little cheaper. Tenerife, there is more to it and also so much more to check out, Kev you need to get up into some of the little villages. Top restaurants at local prices. Less of the wind and greater heat ☀️ ☀️
Not sure if you have done it, Teide at night… that is an experience, you literally have the planets and stars ✨ in you hand up there at night. Some hidden gems of restaurants when off the beaten track away from resorts. Its a shame many people never see them 👍
I have only been to las americas once hence go to lanzarote so would have to give tenerife another chance but at the moment kevin its PDC/matagorda all say for me but nice to see your giving lanzarote a chance, thanks
talking of promenades "Lanzarote now officially has the world’s longest promenade. At 26KM long it doubles the previous title holder, La Coruñas 13KM, with Atlantic City in New Jersey in third place at 9.25KM." pasted from lanzarote news so don't blame me if its wrong... great video
Hi Kevin I like watching you and Jonnyvlogger would u recommend helping Jonny out where’s best in lanzarote to go as he said on a live he wants to go their ?
Lanzarote for us apart from flights change after March until November don't get home till 2 in the morning we always go March or November because we get home 6 at night at Newcastle 😊
Such a shame about the crime on Tenerife with the bag dippers and muggers. Was speaking to a lady who got her bag ripped off her shoulder and her husband punched in the face in Del Duque. I was in Adeje in first week of December and didn’t see absolutely any police the whole time I was there. Very lazy policing I think. Massive shame
Lamzarote at night for the bands/bars proximity. Tenerife during the day as more to do. Restaurants better variation in Tenerife. Lanza cheaper for accommodation. To summarise both excellent but staying in South Tenerife gives you more variety so it wins, just. Both better than Fueteventura and never been to Gran Canaria
Del Carmen edges it over las Americas for me....ideally I'd go to both once a year. Personally there's more and better pub quizzes, better cycling and it's all in a 2 mile strip. The hills are less steep in lanzarote for the cycling but yep the wind is worse. But far more places to hire a bike from. I'd pick lanzarote. Tenerife is no2 majorca no3 benidorm.no4 costa del sol no5
Costa teguise, has some nice hotels, but as a resort it can do with upgrade, terrible pavements and paths, compared to the likes costa adeje, very poor lighting on the paths going back to the hotels
IMO Puerto Del Carmen is the least attractive of the resorts on Lanzarote. Playa Blanca is my preferred resort followed by Costa Teguise. Haven't been to Tenerife sine the late 90s. Playas de Las Americas was quite a place back then. Anyone who was on Veronica's Strip back then will know....😉🤣
Went to Tenerife about 20 odd times as a kid, teenager and adult and it was always no.1, we did Lanza once, then twice and on the third……if I had to choose which to go to, live ……it is now LANZAROTE 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I've been to Tenerife a few times preferred Los Cristianos to Playa das los Americas didn't like it at Los Americas couldnt wait to go back to los cristanos to rowdy there stayed in Costa de Aje it was ok . But sorry Kev for me it's 100% Lanzarote I've been 4 times now and going back next year again as Love it so Much Puerto Del carmen is where we love To go.
Got to say tenerfife just you can walk from lost Chris to playa Americas to costa adje iwas lanzarate 2 weeks march for paddy and then went tenefife Nov for soul week well good ❤
Having visited all the Canaries, I would put them in this order, 1. Gran Canaria 2 Tenerife 3 Lanzarote 4 Fuertaventura 5 Las Palmas 6 La Gomera 7 El Hiero. We are going to Tenerife for the first time in years in March.
We have been to Melonares, La Palma, Puerto de Mogan, Amadores and about six times to our favourite Puerto Rico staying at Marina Suites. Lots of great restaurants mainly in the old shopping centre, and some great music and good times in the Shamrock!@@ScotsmaninTenerife
Lanzarote been over 20 times since 1997 only been to Tenerife twice and probably the only place I've ever been that i don't think i would return to,i cant tell you exactly why think i just got pissed of at the time with people hassling us and didnt give me a great feel.
I would say that in Playa De Las Americas you don't really get hassled to do anything - you can walk freely without feeling you have to pass 20 bars or restaurants (and the reps) to get to where you want to go. This looks like it may be an issue in PDC as it's all in the one bit.
@Essydyk To be fair I haven't been to Tenerife for about 12 years and it was mainly people hawking goods that pissed me off I honestly had one lass come round 4 times in about 20 minutes or so when i was drinking and that happened a few times I actually stayed in Adeje which was quite nice and did like the look of Los Cristianos but I can't 100% say why I couldn't take to the place and I'm easy pleased lol it may be different now,as for PDC i can honestly say never had any hassle with any reps on the strip but we mostly stay drink and eat in the old town it's all about people's preferences i have good friends who would take Tenerife or Lanzarote every day of the week.
