Adventure Bio: I would like to thank Tony Parmenter for sending this rod to the Skiddy Fishing channel. This adventure starts with the "plan B" spot. I had fished a small meandering creek (video coming soon), and decided I wasn't thrilled catching 6-7' trout on the Therapy 33 so I moved to another creek that is known for much bigger fish. This was the 4th of July weekend so I stumbled upon a tiny pull off that will filled with cars which was discouraging and likely going to impact the fishing. I found myself in a grumpy mood despite the rivers are for everyone to share and after the first fish was caught, it was as if all my problems went away. As I caught the 2nd and 3rd fish, I had to sit down and reflect on how grateful I was to be standing on that cool river just after celebrating our country's birthday and freedom. The cutthroat trout was icing on the cake and I was humbled so much from this day. I present to you, a short day with the Seiyu Therapy 33!

There seems to be a resolution issue with this video I couldn’t work around. I apologize and have a great follow up video with this rod in the works! Be sure to set it to 1080p! 😊

Awesome video! Thanks for letting me borrow this rod to catch that awesome 14" Cutty on our last trip. It casted great and handled that 14" Cutty without much issue. It would be an adventure to go much bigger than that though. Thanks for sharing how much fishing has helped you in your life! I know that fishing and getting out into nature really heals the soul! It is one of my heavens on earth too. My wife chalks up all my fishing purchase to "Therapy"! It is very true and way less expensive than traditional therapy with a doctor! 🤣

I just finished editing that video actually and I captured that moment very well from a 3rd person standpoint. The fact your wife can justify a purchase a long side with you means you really found the keeper! I am equally blessed to have such a great advocate in my life and that helps tremendously. I was hell bent on making sure you caught a fish on that rod and that fish was totally justice! You are right though, a 15+" inch fish would make me sweat a little but I would love to get one on the rod and hang on for the ride lol.

Great video, Payton. Nice CR cutty, too! You gotta stop recommending all these cool rods, I don’t have the budget for them. I think I would put this at the top of my list, though, given the background/purpose behind the rod. Really like the look of the integrated line holder versus other ones I’ve seen. Tenkara has been the same for me: therapy when I need it.

Great insight Mark and to be honest even I am having a hard time keeping up with my own rods 😂 I may sell some to thin out the arsenal and have more uptime on the ones I enjoy more. I think most of my rods in videos are good but Seiyu is in the category of great. You really wouldn’t regret it! Tony is a stud too.

Thank you CBL! Means a lot! I actually don’t tie my own. I find it to be an entirely different hobby and it’s hard to find time for it but I actually love fishing flies tied by my friends who send them in periodically because it’s kind of that happy medium between store bought and self tied.
