Zach, due to the Coronavirus right? It's halting all of our lives man. It's good to have an outlet like RU-vid to time travel back to our fave players and moments. Hope you overcome your anxiety in these uncertain times.
Phenomenal hard court player. Deserved a few more us ooens. She often cleaned up on hard courts in the American summer . But just a really nice human being.
No exaggeration, Lindsay Davenport was the best all-round hitter of a tennis ball there's ever been in women's tennis, and probably one of the best in tennis full stop. Still her game is beautiful to watch. Her clean striking was so effortless and overwhelming to opponents. Her lack of speed (although she did well with what she had) and more so that real mean streak needed to win when it got tough probably held her back from winning 10 or more slams.
what a great story. lindsay, a great player and now i think she is just as good at commentating tennis . congrats to her on having a great double career.
I think she’s in the top 3 of the best hitter of all times. Her ground strokes, serve, volleys, her technique and her power were so effortless. Such a joy to watch. I wish we had another Lindsay in tennis now
She was amazing player. I remember watching her play Monica wimbledon semi final I was going for Monica. It see sawed back and forth. But I remember her serve in that match swung it her way. No doubt. I didn't see any nerves just laser beam serve that hit there mark. Cause Monica was on to win that day only Lindsay served so well. !
@@olenaklimova6248 dude, am gonna respond to you ONCE. 1st, i never said Davenport was GOAT STATUS. She was very good enough to hang with the heavyweights like Williams sisters, Clijsters and Justine Henin. 2nd, how many GRAND SLAMS did Capriati own? She only had that one Slam as a 16yr old? Then she left the sport cuz she had a mental breakdown whereas Davenport stayed n the up and downs like a soldier. C'mon dude. That's it.
