What a beautiful video ❤ how lucky 🍀 this artist to be able to pass this wonderful craft to his children knowing that the will continue the legacy of weaving tapestry. The Zapotec traditions are alive in Oaxaca ❤ I’m happy for that. I am currently in Oaxaca visiting to experience the beauty of La Guelaguetza, the show is tomorrow and I’m anxious to go see it. Viva Oaxaca and Viva Mexico 🇲🇽 ❤

Don Isaac Vásquez fue el gran maestro y líder de los tejedores de Teotitlán del Valle. Lamento profundamente su desaparición porque fue un gran amigo mío y aprendí mucho de él. Se dedicó al arte en todo sentido, el tejido, el tinte, y a la enseñanza. Hasta altas horas de la noche, gocé mucho en hablar con él de estos temas, y sobre todo del arte porque tenía el corazón de un gran artista. Doy gracias por su bondad y su generosidad. Fue un hombre honrado y profundamente dedicado a su familia y a su pueblo. Que en paz descanse, Emily Vargas-Barón
