No comparison, Teradek provides better quality and visually lossless delay.

Ive used them all and its not even comparable for pulling focus professionally, everything but teradek has too much lag. monitoring as a director or client is fine on the others

Hello :) until now I was never in the situation where I have to use a wireless video system. I have one question about it. The signal that comes out of the RX,.. is that used for high quality recording or ONLY for monitoring?

Mainly for monitoring, but you can record it if you want to of course with an external recorder. People also use teradek's for wireless live broadcast transmission. You just have to keep in mind, wireless will never be as reliable as a good old cable, no matter how good the wireless tech gets. So people normally record a cabled signal wherever possible. Carl

Question, something really not clear to me is if the module makes the Cine 7 truly wireless or do I need an HDMI cable to make it work? I hate that they did away with the SDI on the module but if there really is no need for a cable, then I'm totally sold. Please could you share this information as both the manufacturers don't seem that much bothered to ask? Thanks

Is this product only for monitoring? Could it be used for a wireless steadicam in a live TV production for instance? For wireless video production, sometimes I see those large pole antennas. Are they different products? I'm quite confused.

This Teradek LT 750 can transmit/receive video+audio via HDMI or SDI?

Why are some sites reporting that the receiver is only able to receive 1080p? And some say “Transmit lossless HD video”. Sure these can take a 4K signal IN, but does it actually transmit it at 4K or not? I’m super confused, and apparently most stores and websites are too judging by the different answers to this.

Yes, with HDMI these will be 4K in and 4K out the other end. The confusion comes from the SDI port, which can only handle 1080p. Carl

But why...? If you are spending a minimum of 2k+ pounds on a 4k 10bit hdr wireless transmitter set, then you are probably on a much larger production or set with a proper cinema camera that might only have sdi outputs like the alexa. HDMI is a pretty flimsy option anyways, so even if the camera can output 10bit 4k out of their hdmi, it's just not reliable enough for a production that requires that kinds of monitoring specs. These kinds of exclusion makes sense when you are marketing your transmitters to a lower budget and indie market where hdmi is good enough. But why would you remove 4k sdi support when you are targeting such a high end market?

They already make that product though, thats the normal Bolt 4K range. This LT range targets the middle ground market rather than the really high end. Carl

@@ProAVTV That's what I'm confused about, why would you rely on such a flimsy connection if you would need 4k 10bit hdr in your video village? If you are spending 10s of thousands of dollars on some 4k 10bit hdr production monitors then why can't you dish out some extra cash for a much more professional and solid connection with the normal 4k bolt lineup? It's like using a wheel chair dolly while carrying your 100k plus alexa xt rig. Just doesn't make much sense to me. I feel like this sits in this awkward middle ground like the 1dc, where it has these professional specs and outputs. But is limited by it's amateur connection types.

@@imabigsandwich1292 For the 4K bits you are possibly right. But this is much more than that. As a 1080p system is just direct replaces the previous generation bolts that everyone knows and improves on them in almost every way. Carl
