I saw him twice in Washington DC back in the early 1990s, and let me tell you-of the many performers I’ve seen in my lifetime, he had the most natural talent. It is a bit mesmerizing that he wasn’t bigger than he was, but that’s not on him but on how he was marketed. He was a hybrid of styles, so they may have been trying to monetize him in too many or wrong directions. Anyhow, he is a miracle of sorts and a supreme talent. His shows and performances were amazing experiences. Intimate, soulful, and entertaining, he left the audiences at those shows in a sense of awe. He hit notes, and hit splits on the stage that complete strangers looked at each other countless times and just shook their heads. He was that good. Anyhow, check him out everyone, if you enjoyed this.

Hello, Mr. Shakes P.! Thought you might enjoy hearing this. In 1987, I heard about Terence Trent D'Arby and that he had a new album coming out. He had one of his first tours going on, and I went to see him on a Sunday night at an old live venue in Washington DC called The Bayou. It was packed (it was a mid-sized place). OMG. He say most of the songs and started with a song called "If You All Get To Heaven" (I think). He had a gargantuan presence, voice, charisma, you name it. I feel so fortunate to have been able to see him live. I don't know if its available life, but I think you would like song above, think it is first song of his 1987 album. I think you MAY have heard two of his more popular song somethere ... "Sign Your Name Across My Heart" and "Wishing Well. Thank you for this reaction and the great work you are doing. Moe
