First video I've seen of the entire new West annex of the international terminal. Very cool. I especially like how much natural light there is throughout the terminal. That's very impressive considering the scope of this building. It is huge. The use of terrazzo throughout the terminal looks fantastic too. BTW, I'm glad they have artwork for you to look at while navigating the long ass tunnel. I also did notice that they have the moving walkway where the artwork is located. That's clever so you don't have to stop to admire the artwork. :)

That's gorgeous! So many questions, lol, but among the things I noticed---I know dude wished he had a scooter or something, cause that's a HELLA long walk; 😁 Those catwalks above the gates must be going to the customs areas; It looks like they're out near where the remote terminals are, and I hope they have their own wheelchair escort service, cause I couldn't be pushing people to the main terminal!

All those white boarded up areas on the sides are eateries and restaurants that have yet to open when this gets in full swing.

Beautiful concourse! It’s just too bad it didn’t look like many food/drink options are open yet- Best to grab a snack in the main part of TBIT before making that trek lol

Yeah nothing is open yet which I wasn’t surprised about tbh. And thanks for watching!

Nice concourse! They better get a train to move people from/ to main buildings...I still thought this is a long walk.

Haha I know right! My dad said the same thing! He saw the hallway and was pissed. He asked me if they are going to put a train, and unfortunately they won’t, and he was not happy😅

I am going to have a 1hr 55min layover in LAX going to EWR from an international flight (SIA). Im actually wondering whether i'll have enough time for my connection to terminal 6 with alaska airline since i just realize that we have to go through baggage claim and custom in LAX before the connecting flight 😑 as for the baggage will i have to bring it to terminal 6 to get it check in or is there a transfer desk to put the bags after the custom? I am using one itinerary ticket for my whole flight so i assume that the baggage already have a tag for the final destination? Will i still have to go through security too? If yes, how long will it take to go through the security? I am very nervous and hoping that i can make the connection. Any info will be appreciated. TIA

Hi! Awesome video. Can you tell me where’s the closest parking? P3 or p4?
@standbycolin
@standbycolin 2 года назад
Glad you liked the video! Towards the International Terminal it’s both. P3 and P4. I usually park in P4 but it tends to fill up quickly.

@@standbycolin thank you! Is there a reason for p4... us it easier ? Traveling with a lot of people so we are trying to get the easiest path haha!! Thank you so much for your response 😀
@standbycolin
@standbycolin 2 года назад
@@silentguysasmr2768 in my opinion yes. P3 was going through construction the last time I was there. You can get updates on the lax website. www.flylax.com/
@standbycolin
@standbycolin 2 года назад
@@silentguysasmr2768 also I meant to add. Last week they opened a new parking structure east of the airport. You take a bus from the structure to the airport. If the P3 or P4 are full, do that

Can someone please tell me if the International arrival and departure for International flights is in the same place what it was 3 years ago or is that now been changed to the new terminal ? Otherwise ill need to study where to get around at this airport... So if i arrive by Qantas from Australia to LAX am i coming to the same terminal and same configuration route once i land in LAX on my way to the check out and pick up luggage's before leaving ? How about the coming to LAX for the departure of LAX ? same configuration like it was if i recall 3 years ago ? I am coming in 2023 by Qantas because this time im going to Las Vegas so i might catch the American airline which i have no idea where to go since last time i came to to LAX was just Los Angeles for my stay holidays only. But on my way back to lax FROM Las vegas i be staying in los angels on holiday and then back to LAX to go back home to Australia by Qantas..... By the way not sure which airline will it be from Las Vegas back to LAX since im staying LAS VEGAS few days follow by Los Angeles few days before leaving and going back home to australia. Would anyone guide me on this information please even maybe interactive maps or videos to see ? But the principle is arriving to LAX from Australia will be be the same as what it was 3 years ago ? But this time i have to catch a flight bounce to LAS VEGAS so this means im not staying in Los angels first... So i need to study how this will be and where to go and so on or pick up luggage's before heading to las Vegas i have no idea unless my luggage's goes directly to las Vegas without the need to pick it up myself and this and that....... thanks.

On the lax website there is an interactive map that can help. Also make sure to check flight status to make sure what gate you are going to. The LAX website also tells which airlines are in which terminals to help. But to answer your question yes Qantas still operates out of terminal B. The midfield concourse is just an extension to Terminal B, so they are connected.
@kingspizzer46
@kingspizzer46 3 года назад
@@standbycolin Will do thank you. Ill sure to check that out prior before travel and so on. Last time i was there actually in 2019 mid year i arrived by Qantas and there was a huge lined up all over the place just to check out before getting our luggage's.. it took us 1hour and 40minutes just to check out to have our passports stamp and the reason why we coming for (holidays) and we where almost the last people to pick up our luggage's.. I was mad because i had a private car driver waiting they charged us 1hour for been late more money... So i hope LAX can ease the slow check out.. Easy for Check in on your arrival to LAX but difficult to LEAVE lax once you arrived there from another country.. Thanks.

The new terminal is actually an expansion of Bradley Terminal, which is connected by a tunnel going West to the new gates. If your flight used Bradley before (most all international carriers, like Qantas, use Bradley), it's the same check-in area, it's just a whole bunch of new gates once you get passed security screening. When arriving, you'll be coming up the same ramp once you get passed customs and the luggage pick-up areas. Further work is being done to other terminals. Eventually all the terminals will be connected from behind passenger screening. The LAX People Mover is also under construction, that should help with the traffic congestion in the terminal area. Passengers will use the People Mover to connect to a consolidated car rental facility, along with connecting to the L.A. Metro light rail network, to downtown, Santa Monica, and so on. Los Angeles works on this stuff in geologic time, but eventually all this will get done.

very modern, i see there is also a train right?
@standbycolin
@standbycolin 2 года назад
Yes it’s very modern, and still had that nice new smell to it too. Unfortunately their is no train connecting to the West Concourse. BUT, LAX is in the process of building a Tram like system that will connect to the Main Tom Bradley International Terminal, and all other terminals as well. The tram is currently being built and will run along the middle of the airport. It will then make stops in the new rental car facility and also the LA Metro transportation system. From that station you can then go to Downtown LA etc. That is due to complete around the end of 2022.
