Can those like me who have watched this movie in 1984 imagine that it’s only 5 years to the specified date in the movie, I mean 2029, 40 years passed since I first watched it, wow time flies
It really does and when you start watching films from the 80s you reminiscing anf get teary eyes 😢, even the horror movies. I've got bad mid life crisis
@@evaa-w5399 We have our good times, being nostalgic would perhaps make you sad and think it might be that mid life crisis. Myself had very little good memories of this good time, I like to be optimistic and say so, I have survived three bloody wars, some one could say I was lucky, perhaps, yet it keeps wonder is it luck to carry on living with memories from the wars every single day..so contradictory , yes? To trying to be optimistic yet memories of war keep you down. Hasn’t it been for those few moments and memories with friends and family watching movies or doing something else it would have been difficult to go on with this life. Think of finding your own good memories of our good times and say to yourself that you have had it really good, use them for a better life now, every time has its own special givings, even now ..
@@kimamer6283 I've had ovarian cancer and I'm a survivor. I was adopted and bullied in school, but the films from the time period holds a lot of memories for me.

Arnold Schwarzenegger is still the King of Terminator movies. His body features and looks is perfectly designed to act in Terminator movies. No other actors match him. He is my favourite actor since 10y back in the 80's.
Yea but in my opinion, he played that character a lot better in this first movie (his body motion, the way he moved his head as a machine, and he even looked scarier when he was younger than he did 10 years later in part 2) - in part 2 he was not making sudden movements with his head as a machine would do - his body language was more fluid like a humans body language - I wonder if this was on purpose, to make it look like he had evolved or the machine was upgraded to be more human like 🤷🏾♂️ - if it was not on purpose, I wonder if he looked back and noticed that he didn't play the character as well as he did the first time - don't get me wrong, T2 was a great movie - and most movies get worse as the sequel continues, but Terminator movies got better from 1 to 2 - but Terminator part 1 will always be my favorite tho, simply because that was my first time seeing anything like that - plus I was a kid about 10 years old and this scared the shit out of me (the eyeball scene 👀😲) - could not go straight to sleep at night for about 2 weeks after seeing that - but yea, if you pay attention he played that character way better in the first movie than he did the second movie - and maybe it was because he was the hunter on part 1

This movie was decades ahead of its time, really done even though I do feel its predictive programming. This could be reality very soon, us against the machines.
Moral of story in movie is that even the Cyborg Humanoid Robot 🤖 was unable to defeat the human even though dangerous, in 2024 and onwards, Robots can never replace Humans no matter how much AGI progress 🎉😮
I was surprised at how good this was. Special effects look like trash in a couple places, but when they use practical effects it looks pretty good. Plot is very interesting.
Have you ever seen this before? This movie was ahead of its time in 1984. We were still learning about special effects. I think it was doubted by filmmakers that it would be a hit.
Loved Linda Hamilton being a right badass in the Terminator movies ,different movie Jamie Lee Curtis trying to imitate Linda Hamilton in Halloween 2018 was hilarious.

Even the "Titanic" - a book written about a ship which had a similar name back in the 1800s showed a ship larger than life and sinking into the ocean, which this "Titanic" happened in 1912. So, books and movies can relay possible future whether we believe it or not.
