Terra's Theme - Final Fantasy VI (Piano Collections) [Intermediate] *REMAKE* 

Of all songs I have ever heard in all my life, I think Terras theme resonates the most with me, kinda represents me in a song. It's dreamy and melancholic but with moments of joy and hope. Makes me cry every damn time. Still after all these years, even just the midi version. I'll always be in awe with Uematsus genius I know music elitists like to trash on film and game music and to many of them composition died the day Shostakovich died. But to simple people like me, a song like this generates an emotional response - it makes me feel something I never felt before and touches something deep within. And isn't that the whole point of all art's?

This specific song/piece is the reason why I bought a piano and started practicing. I started back in 2020 but kept quitting, and I would say I have less than a year of collective practiced days. I tried playing it before but I got stuck at around 1:01. Now, after this much practice, I'm gonna give it another shot. Wish me luck!

I love how some of the best soundtracks/themes come from video games. Great stuff.

Best final fantasys theme song ever, dark and beautiful

As of an hour and a half ago of writing this I booted up FF6 for the very first time. Found myself zoning out to the theme song and fell in love with it. Now here I am, on RU-vid watching videos of the theme song.

Mesmerizing. This is my all time FAVORITE final fantasy song along with Rose of may.

It starts very simple and sad. Gets more complex and epic over time. Beautiful arrangement!

I've been trying to learn this for almost a year now... and I can finally make it to 1:55...

It's calming sad-like just as an ending but at the same time hinting about something new something fresh something yet to unfold. The feeling from this song is so unique to me!

I really like the tempo and the skill involved to keep such technical movements so smooth is outstanding. Bravo!!!!!!!

Twelve gods, this is unbelievable. I just listened to about a dozen different piano arrangements of Awakening and hated them all because they were just somebody's reproductions of some MIDI track, no feeling to them at all. This, by contrast, is absolutely phenomenal.

Gotta give you thanks! The fingering in measures 25-28 have been giving me serious trouble. When you introduced your right hand for the top 2-3 notes, that helped so much. Also, for 25 playing the octave with the dominant, I was trying so hard to make 5,2,1 work. I need to be more flexible with that grouping. Einaudi has a lot of that and it becomes a bad habit.

awesome mix! there's a single note that sounds out of place around 2:44, its the two B flats with the left hand. had to slow it down to catch them. other than that, it sounds amazing! and I will definitely be learning this song at some point. it's been on my "To Learn" list for awhile

The opening chords/ section isn't from the (original OST) Terra's Theme. But I'm almost certin they are from another Final Fantasy 6 song woven into this. Anyone remember from where? It's bugging me. Also, fantastic song! Edit: found the origin of the opening, its the lonely haunting organ notes from the "world of ruin" overworld song!
