Minecraft and terraria are different. Terraria: action combat game, highly dependent on progression. Minecraft: building game where all guys have the old Anthony Padilla haircut.

Now we're here, with 1.4 arriving soon. I've grown up with this game, it was basically the advocate of my childhood, and to see how far it has come; is heart-warming.

And now the final update, 1.4.1, has come, and we will receive it like the one 9 years ago, with open arms, and knowing there wont be an experience so unique like this one. Goodbye TERRARIA. (Sorry for the bad english, i am from Honduras, and here we speak spanish, it Is so cool that even here Terraria Is a well known game for it's awesomness)

My Terraria life: I was a Minecraft player at the time and I saw the trailer and it was awesome I almost cried and it looked like my dreams came true without this game my life would be empty so I decided to ask my dad for it so he got me a free copy I played it so much I had every item and block in the game except 1 piece of ancient cobalt armor and I spent days looking for a voodoo demon little did I realize this was a old version (I didn't have it on steam I don't even think I had or knew of steam) but one day I realized I was in an old version so I asked my dad to get me the $15 full game and it was amazing and I've played till this day (steam Says I've played 1300 hours) but one fateful day... the game hit 3.0 and from this day I've cried because my computer can't run it... moral of the story is I can't run the game anymore and I need someone to give me a good computer...

Die hard minecraft fanboys everywhere! Its not a damn rip off of minecraft, there both different, Terraria is based on combat and minecraft is building, just so you minecrafters know, minecraft was based off of infiniminer. Yes it is similar in some ways however Terraria has a lot more to offer despite it being 2D. I recommend this game.

And now we are here in 10.12.2013 waiting for Terraria 1.3 (Holiday Update) and for Terraria 2. Time always goes fast :')

Neat little behind the scenes tidbit for anyone stopping by for the 10 year anniversary . if you watch this second trailer, alongside the first one from may, you will see that it follows the exact same scene flow and even has very similar player actions. Redigit tried to emulate the first trailer as best he could when he made this. Happy 10th Year Anniversary All!

I never had a childhood like everyone elese when I was id say around 7 or something (i am 15) and have grown up just with flash games. i got terraria 1.4 recently and ive been playing for hours. I have 90 hours on my first character and I havent even beaten the first hardmode bosses, this game looked amazing even from this video, which is 9 damn years old. i hope this community stays alive for decades

Man, it's unbelievable how far this game has come since then. Not just the additional content, but even the refinement of what we see in the trailer. The terrain gen is waaaay better, the game in general is just prettier to look at (overworld backgrounds, random junk, better enemy sprites), a whole cosmetic system was added, potions are a thing, building is MILES beyond what it was before, combat and movement is way more fun... the list goes on.

Começa aqui um jogo, que é mais que um jogo , é algo sensacional, Terraria: com tanta coisas pra fazer o jogo é simplesmente incrível comecei a jogar na 1.2 e nossa o jogo evoluiu muito , pena que ele está chegando na jornada final ... Espero que não , espero que os criadores votem com ele ;-; mas né já tem muita coisa ... Mas sempre a algo a se acrescentar. Obrigado por fazer um dos jogos mais sensacionais que já vi.

I remember when I was like 6 or something I used to like this game. Not like I was actually playing it, nah I just built a crappy house and sat in there for the nights. In the morning I tried to catch critters but I didn’t know what a bug net is so I just tried to put them in boxes
