brings me back to when I was looking for Jungle Grass seeds.. I wanted 25 so I could research em, but it took me hours upon hours upon hours to get all of em, despite clearing the jungle constantly and making good places for weeds to grow :L
@@holajoojoo the eater of worlds is probably like 30 worms glued together and considering you don't summon it like eoc but you put down worm food and another one appears, there are more eaters of worlds
Underground Hallow sounds like the song is getting remixed Underground Corruption sounds like the song is getting corrupted Underground Crimson sounds like the song is getting digested
Well sort of. I agree with your statement of the Hallow sounding remixed, but if you listen to the underground corruption, it does not actively change the underground theme. It just kinda mashes the overworld and underground themes. But if you hear the crimson underground, it does sound corrupted. The key is wrong, there's weird sounds in the background, it's slower, and it just sounds wrong.
I love how in this track the music sounds like is being FORCED to be happy. Much like the world evils you can hear the original underground theme fragmented and disoriented throughout the entire song, being warped and contorted to fit the overcompensation of purity brought about by the death of the wall of flesh.
i actually always liked the hallow biome. sure it was dangerous but it looked so beautiful and had such a cute music. i never had a problem with it consuming my world, i even helped it spread
I love this song. Back when I played terraria on mobile (I’m on PC now, killed moonlord as mage and melee and now doing an expert mode ranger run)and was in the underground hallow, I legit thought my device was corrupted or something and was really freaked out. I guess the hallow is scarier than the evil biomes. Edit 4 years later: Lmao did I try to flex an expert mode playthrough?
Such a banger theme gotta love this, its a warped version of the cave theme you've grown accustomed to that really brings that magical yet dangerous vibe out
when i went down my hellevator after beating the wall of flesh, i was first greeted by this soundtrack underground, i immediately knew everything is about to change,
it's actually the other way around - the crimson was added after the hallow it does make sense as the crimson is always attempting to convert people to its cause, in any way it can
I didn't get the Hallow properly (ice biome hallow), so I literally took some hallowed stone and put it into the non-hallowed parts just to hear this theme more
Terraria progression be like: "You feel an evil presence watching you" "Eye of Cthulhu has awoken!" "Eye of Cthulhu has been defeated!" "Skeletron has awoken!" "a person watched their innards become outards by Skeletron" "Skeletron has awoken!" "Skeletron has been defeated!" "The blood moon is rising..." "The blood moon is rising..." "The blood moon is rising..." "The blood moon is rising..." "A goblin invasion is approaching from the east!" "Eater of Worlds has awoken!" "a person has defeated the 250th Eater of Souls" "Eater of Worlds has been defeated!" "A meteorite has landed!" "a person was destroyed by Angry Bones" "a person will quickly be forgotten by Meteor Head" "a person has defeated the 50th Voodoo Demon" "Kyle the Guide was slain..." "Wall of Flesh has awoken!" "a person was destroyed by The Hungry" "a person didn't bounce" "Colin the Guide was slain..." "Wall of Flesh has awoken!" "Wall of Flesh has been defeated!" "It is going to be a terrible night..." "The Twins gave awoken!" "a person got massacred by Retanizer" "The blood moon is rising..." "The blood moon is rising..." "a person was destroyed by Werewolf" "a person didn't bounce"
My favorite song! I like how it starts off normal, sounding fitting for a happy-looking biome. However, it starts sounding a little off, then it gets to 0:53, where it shows how this biome may not be what it seems, and might be another dangerous biome. Might just be me, though. It might not be on purpose, but if it is, pretty smart.
Guide? did you switch the tap water with holy water again? i think im going to pass o- HOLY HECKING DUSTY BOOK OF THE GOOD OL TIMES. I SEE MY VERY BODY TURNING TO STONE, GETTING CORRUPTED, CRIMSONED, AND HALLOWED AT THE SAME TIME. MY BRAIN IS JUMPING OUT OF MY SKULL, GETTING MORE LIQUIDY AS IT JUMPS OUT, AND MY HEART IS COMING OUT OF MY CHEST, MELTING AND GETTING REPLACED WITH A BAG OF SUGAR AND ALSO MY LUNGS ARE TURNING INTO CHOC- Meanwhile, in the normal world. Merchant: is he okay? hes been screaming for about half an hour. Player: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA Nurse: i dont know what is happening to him. But what i DO know is that his eyes are rainbow colored somehow, his mouth is foaming, but its blue and that his heart is beating at different speeds and pitches resembling some familliar tune. Nurse: seriousley, where have i heard that? probably from one of the music boxes. *searches and listens to every single box* Nurse: this is the one! its labled... underground hallow. wAiT a SeCoNd! *taps the tap to turn the tap on* Nurse: yep this is holy water. now WHO DID THIS?!!? Mechanic: I Know! i was looking out my window. and then i saw the guide putting something in the water thing where the water comes from for the tap Nurse: **visible anger** Guide: **visible fear**
Cyborg: Can someone explain what is going on? Demolitionist: i dont remember holy water making our mayor like that Polandball: can i go to space Demolitionist: *Wait, thats illegal.*
Later... Truffle: What happened? Nurse: The guide put Holy Water in the water thing Truffle: oh 20 minutes later... Player: Why am I glowing? Goblin Tinkerer: it was the holy water that the guide stupidly put in the water compartment Player: Figures... WAIT! Can I enter in the hallow without getting attacked by Chaos Elementals? Goblin Tinkerer: probably Guide: It wasn’t me, I was looking at what was inside of the water! Player: then who was it? Guide: Probably the Dryad, considering that she owns hallowed seeds...
1.5 hours earlier Dryad: **visible confusion** who took my hallowed seeds while I was in Etheria? Hey barkeep Barkeep: yea? Dryad: while I was gone I did anyone take any of my stuff or did I just loose my hallowed seeds? Barkeep: Look I have a business to run here I cant keep track of everyo- Outside: *screaming*
Best song in the game, it's like the perfect heavenly twisted techno trip, evolved from the original soundtracked areas and perfectly mashed. Haven't played the game in years but I had to come back to this for the memories and it still hits. Nothing like that first time you stumble into the zone in that full immersive state though.
I started a new world a few days and got to hard mode recently, went hunting for titanium at like 5am and this shit was just blasting in my headset I thought I was gonna have a seizure
I love how This and the Otherworld themes for the Underground Hallow both convey something completely different, yet have the same overall theme. The Otherworldly version leans hard into the idea that Light is not good. Just like the Corruption and Crimson, the Hallow has one goal: Subsume and devour anything that isn't like it, because anything that is different is wrong. The heavy industrial themes mixed with the twisted music box force a vibe of terror upon you. Compare that with this original version. It feels much happier and more lighthearted, but don't get that confused with safety. This is still a place that could kill you at a moment's notice, yet it has a beauty underneath the danger. Ancient caverns lined with glowing crystal and mystical beings from fairy tales; How could anyone not be awed the first time they fall into it? At the end of the day, though, both of them give out the same message. You've stumbled onto something ancient, primal, and dangerous. Watch your step.
I love the composition, it sounds like the Underground Theme is literally drowning in the glitter and rainbows, comes to evoke how infectious and destructive the Hallow really is.
The "Underground Hallow" music in Terraria is an extension of the mystical and enchanting atmosphere of the Hallow biome, specifically designed for the underground regions affected by the Hallow. When players delve into the underground areas that have been transformed into the Hallow, they are accompanied by this magical and uplifting music, enhancing the sense of wonder and enchantment deep below the surface. The Underground Hallow music in Terraria maintains the celestial melodies and mystical sounds of the surface Hallow music but adds a deeper, more mysterious feel suitable for the underground environment. It creates a sense of exploration and discovery as players navigate the Hallow-infused tunnels, encountering new creatures and uncovering hidden treasures. If you're interested in experiencing the Underground Hallow music in Terraria or immersing yourself in the magical underground areas, you can explore underground regions of your world that have been transformed into the Hallow biome. The music adds to the immersive experience of delving into Terraria's fantastical depths, highlighting the unique atmosphere of the Hallow biome underground.
The hidden message, at least I think there is one, is that the Hallow is just as corrupting as, well, the Corruption. Just compare Underground Corruption and Underground Hallow. They are _both_ remixes of Underground, distorting the original music and replacing it with their own theme, but you can still make out what was once the regular theme. In the same way the Corruption is overwhelming, the Hallow is overwhelming in its own way. Neither are normal.
This really shows how much the hallow biome is trying to be confusing, it has no normal beats it has rapidly changing time signatures but also tries to be a bop at the same time.
about 8 years ago I was playing terraria on some tablet with a green case and I thought it was cool that lepus could replicate. I fought him all the time and I thought the music that played during these fights was broken, glitched and/or distorted for some reason. also every single time night ended in my world a solar eclipse happened and I think lepus was the cause of it. there were graves everywhere. good times indeed.
Corruption/Crimson: WE'RE GOING TO GIVE YOU THE CREEPS! Hallow: Welcome to your 3 year old dreams. Me: Finally, a biome not trying to kill me instantly.
