Well, another day thwarted by my own procrastination. I was going to do a 1 month terrarium update and a pinning of a Ghost mantis ootheca, but the fish bowl landed in my lap and I decided it would make a nice little home for some porcellio party mix isopods I had lying around in an old stick insect tank that needed a new home.

Gravel for drainage - 10mm (half-inch) gravel
Charcoal - this was smashed lump charcoal - Activated charcoal is also good
Fibreglass - Window screen/ or insect mesh - eBay
Substrate mix
Peat moss x 1
Sphagnum moss x 1
Leaflitter (baked and crumbled) x 1/2
Orchid bark (optional) x 1
Coco fibre (reptile suppliers stock this in blocks) - Crumbled x 1
Activated carbon x 1/8th
Animals
Isopod party mix - Home grown consisting of cross-bred porcellio type isopods.
