Terrible Wii Shovelware Games (Also Wipeout 😍) 

Wipeout is my favorite "so bad it's fun" game. More games need to have wacky ragdoll physics and cartoony sound effects!

That one lady in the wipeout game: “I was born with glass bones and paper skin. Every morning I break my legs, and every afternoon I break my arms. At night I lie awake in agony until my heart attacks put me to sleep.”

Imagine chilling in someones Japanese bathroom, vibing after enjoying someones extraterrestial fireworks, and then some lanky RU-vidr turns on the light, starts screaming at you and slams a door in your face. Like at that point it's just blatant inhospitability.

As someone who almost never remembers his dreams, hearing Peebs describe his nightmare is both amazing and disturbing. This is compounded by the fact that I've been watching way too many freaky mysteries recently, so I'm already a little on edge.

Please make a full episode of just Wipeout, the PB&Jeff series is one of my all time favourites and the game is just so bad that it's good

The edits for the dream/nightmare story were so damned hilarious I could NOT function as a human being for a bit! Good job on that! Also, I’ve gotten to the point where in my dreams if something starts going wrong, it’s like my conscious mind or something figures it out is like “NOPE! We’re not doing this! WAKE UP!” It’s so weird. If I could train myself to lucid dream that’d be awesome.

The problem I have with lucid dreaming is that my intrusive thoughts still happen. I have to consciously use my lucidity to undo all the garbage my subconscious does that I don't want to actually dream about. It's wild.

This channel makes me happy. And on the topic of lucid dreams, I have a weird relationship with it. I almost always know I’m dreaming but I’m rarely a factor in my dreams, it’s usually more like I’m watching a movie or something, and while I can change things, usually my dreams are interesting enough that I simply want to see what happens.

Peebs talking about how he realized it was a dream reminded me of a time it happened to me. In my dream I got shot (I think a few times) but I didn't feel any pain or anything so that tipped me off that it was dream and I woke up pretty quickly after that.

Lucid dreaming is like achieving Chim in the Elder Scrolls. You have to be able to accept that the world around you is fake, but continue to believe its real.

I've had lucid dreams, before. I've only been able to control it once, sadly, and it started fading before that. The best tricks I've heard to control lucidity are to try to do stuff you know you can't do (lift stuff with your mind, try to fly, etc.) so you get into a habit of checking if you're in a dream. The other is to record all your dreams.

Oh man, I grew up with the Wipeout game. Watching the ragdoll effects in slow motion was my favorite part.

I mean, what really is the difference between "locked" or "out of order" arcade games at Chuck E. Cheeses? Peebs wins at wipeout and it freezes. Worth it. Also was the Mario sound effects added by you or actually taken from the Wipeout game? Cause that was comedy gold. Pbg is afraid of aliens? Huh.

Honestly speaking of dreams, I figure out I’m in a dream fairly quickly which makes it easy to lucid dream for me. I haven’t had a nightmare in a while because of this. It’s genuinely nice.

I used to play that Wipeout game all the time. One of the funniest glitches in the game was where the suckerpunch got stuck in a guys private part and started shaking like crazy and then his neck gets stretched as he falls in the mud

For me, if a dream suddenly turns for the worse, part of my brain goes "this is a dream, I can change this" and gives my dream self some kind of power boost, and I go back to not knowing it's a dream.

As someone who can lucid dream, it can still be kinda hard to control them. Even if you realize it's a dream and you have some amount of control you can also still get a bunch of weird stuff like the alien that is frozen where even if you want to do something if your brain can't figure out how then you can't. Though presumably for things you want to have happen... so different from the alien in that sense.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this, but I recently found out that (some??) Chuckie cheese establishments had beer. Which would be a large selling point for adults who weren't smart enough to sneak in their own flask. Also, at the gym, snorting with laughter. Totally needed this today, so thanks! 🍕🥳🥳🥳

Once had a dream I figured out was a dream because my friend was acting reasonable to critic of his writing instead of trying to make excuses. He's much better with critic now but back then he found it humorous and congratulated me when I told him about the dream for "not being tricked by my dream doppelganger."

Analysis of the Dream 15:50 "In the dream it felt very realistic. Me and my wife lived in Japan for some reason and we lived in this quaint little apartment. Everything that happened was mundane. We were about to make some tea. We were having a conversation about nothing. It was totally normal. As I was pouring water for the tea an explosion happened. So I'm like what the heck. So I looked out and I saw in the distance and it was night time and there were some kind of fireworks, but it didn't look like normal fireworks. It was like something weird was going on over there. So I locked all the doors. I knew everywhere in the apartment. That's why it felt so real. I knew where everything was. I went over to the other side of the apartment to look closer through the window and lights were on but next to me there was a bathroom and it was pitch black in the bathroom and I got a weird feeling. I felt really freaked out that there is something in there, but at the same time I was like "there's nothing in there. I'm just gonna reach in and turn the light on. It's nothing" So I reached in and turned the light on and there was a tall gray alien standing there. It had been right next to me for like 15 seconds or so. It had been right there in the dark. I flipped out. I pushed the door onto him and he didn't move. He was standing there frozen still. That's when it clicked in my mind that it was a dream and I woke myself up. My mind doesn't know what an alien does so it couldn't finish the dream." The alien is a foreign creature you imagine as knowing where you live and hiding where you can't see it. When confronting the creature you are terrified of it, but it does nothing. You say this is because your mind doesn't know what to do with an alien. Clearly, that can't be the case, because you have seen alien movies or could apply any attribute to it and not know either way. It can be reasoned that most of your adult persona has been based on Japan as you play (mostly Japanese) video games on RU-vid for a living for the past decade. Even just being on the internet itself is like living in a foreign country, but even still you know where everything is because you have been doing it for so long. Your internet self is a completely normal or natural expression of who you are, even if it is exaggerated for the sake of being interesting for the camera. In playing yourself in this foreign land you have become accustomed to, there has been the other side of you that is unknown to you, so naturally it is not represented in your conscious personality or in your house where you can see it. It has been hiding in the darker parts of your mind and in revealing it in the light of consciousness, conquered it to your conscious self for a time. My personal gut instinct is that this is your repressed Thinking side. You seem like you are a Feeling type of person, so in your unconscious there is this lurking unfeeling, calculating monster and you don't understand how it works, because you live in your conscious Feeling attitude. But really it is just a part of you.

One of the weirdest dream experiences I've had is I was in a school and talking to other students, but I told them I was dreaming, I said something like "this is clearly a dream, look I can fly that can't happen in real life-" then i started to fly but then i woke up after that--BUT I WAS STILL DREAMING? I WOKE UP FROM A DREAM IN A DREAM.

i had sleep paralysis once and i swear in the corner of my room i saw a short alien standing there just out of view from my preipheral. It was weird that peebs had a similar sleep paralysis incident.

Ragdoll effects should be in every game ever

I once had a dream where me and the Order of the Phoenix (from Harry Potter) were looking around my grandma's yard late at night. Then death eaters came and attacked so me, Hermione, and Harry (I think) ran into the forest. Then, all of a sudden, we were at a broom race. All I had was a wooden broom (like it was just one mass of wood) so Hermione used the levitation spell on it and I dropped off a high tower, flying at insane speeds. It was amazing!

Peebs: "You're using the nunchuck" Me: "wait...the nunchuck has a sensor in it?!"

Yes, play more Wipeout! Also, I'd love to hear more weird dreams you had! I struggle a lot to remember my dreams, and the few times I do realize that I'm in a dream, I also end up waking myself up accidentally; lucid dreaming is so hard!

The weird thing about me realizing I'm dreaming is that I quickly forget after. Like, if I'm worried about something in a dream sometimes I'm like "this is a dream, it doesn't matter" and then I move on and forget about that fact lmao

Gameplay wise I also played a lot of that Wipeout game, the ragdoll physics definitely sells it. As for dreams I think something freaky about them is when you're someone else and 'remember' things/memories that are obviously not real/are fictional.

OH MAN that chuck e cheese Wii game is a throwback fr I remember some of the girl characters were my imaginary friends when I was like 5 can't believe that game of all games impacted me like that miss playing that everyday of my childhood life 😢

I had a lucid dream recently. I was up high, climbing what seemed to be some sort of smooth white building? Anyway, i knew i was dreaming but it was surreal because i felt everything i touched. I felt like my palms sweat, felt the smoothness of the building. But was still afraid to fall because i was able to feel things.

I can only fly sometimes in lucid dreams. I try every time, though.

Playing horror games doesn't scare me, watching horror movies doesn't scare me, running around in the woods alone at night doesn't scare me, but for some ungodly reason listening to Peebs' nightmare about a frozen alien, I had to turn on the lights in my room to calm myself that I was really alone. The human mind is a silly thing.

Tactic for the sweeper in wipeout. Jump at the other guys square and push em off. It doesn’t always work but is fun when it does
