The fact that some folks really thought Melys stood a chance just shows how misinformed people are. Only Vermithor would have stood a chance 1:1 with Vhagar. Caraxes got lucky and he did not survive even.

Yes way more than others. Syrax's is about 3 minutes (i have combined all clips and made a video). Caraxes screentime is probably less than 2 minutes. Vermithor also around 3 to 4 minutes.

Vhagar and Aemond bond is pretty strong.

She is THE war Dragon, and Aemond is a psycopath. Pretty strong bond there. Dangerous, but strong.

i reckon its like when a girl breaks up and goes for the bad boy. Vhagar did seem hesitant when Laena asked her to burn her. in the scene after you can hear how vhagar is saddened by this. also the connection of vhagar and Laena was up there with the closest bonds we have seen in westeros.

@@shaheenshad5012 Doubt it. Vermithor would get some good licks in, but I don’t think he could defeat Vhagar in a straight fight. Vhagar is still about 25-30% larger and has seen significantly more action. Also, George R.R. Martin himself confirmed Caraxes and Vhagar are the two most powerful dragons, and Daemon himself admitted he and Caraxes can’t defeat Vhagar alone in a straight fight. That leaves Vhagar as the most powerful dragon in Westeros. It would be a heck of a battle, but Vhagar would most likely come out on top.

@@Shepherdedits the dragons played a little part in startin the war. the war was started by Otto, he knew what he was doing and he knew what was going to happen when he goes with his plan but he tought is a worthy sacrifice since his grandkid will be the next king this way. Otto started this, he was the mastermind, this was his plan all along, to get his blood on the iron throne. If he was a true hand all of this could have been avoided.

@happypill6195 No. He didn't Otto, and just about everyone else, including Rhaenyra, thought that if Viserys remarried (as he was expected too, by the way) he would eventually have a son. And that son would be his heir Viserys was a fool to think Rhaenyra and all her offenses would go unchallenged as heir to the Throne.

That definitely didn't make any sense, the sneak attack on meleys. But they did the same in battle of storm's End. Throughout the battle of rook's rest, they showed meleys as dominant dragon and clearly focused on the advantage she has as the fastest dragon alive. Meleys almost got Vhagar, I guess they had no ideas on how this gonna end and some guy in the background said "well we can recreate the scene from season 1" and the directors were like "good idea"

Honestly Meleys stood a decent shot of actually killing vhagar if she was able to get in a few more grapples leveraging vhagars weight against her as she falls, eventually the impacts are gonna do enough damage to cripple or debilitate her. Vhagar beat her primarily because of the ambush.

It will be a suicide attack after all coz caraxes is mortally wounded himself but what's more crazy that he matches his persona with his nickname the blood wyrm, if you notice vagahar was dropped on ground by meyles while melyes was easily recovered and was back on flight while it vaghar a while and is quite slow in turning around. Smaller and faster dragon can take advantage of that by Targeting Aemond directly.

​@@fluff6811yes, if meyles had a backup dragon.... Aemond would be dead that day as he too impulsive and goes on attack head on thinking his dragon is bigger so he will win. Caraxes fight is going to be interesting

@@Shepherdedits omg I’m super excited! Also, I hope they let Daemon’s hair grow long like it was in very beginning of season 1. I feel like they snatched his wig off and threw it on Aemon in episode 6 and i just dont appreciate it lmaooo 😭🤣 But it is bittersweet because I will be sad to not see Matt Smith as Daemon anymore. His performance really is STELLAR💫🤌🏽

@@iamcece21 He looked great with long hairs for sure but daemon is 49 years old in events in season 2 so maybe that’s why the short hair 😂. And don’t worry you will be seeing Matt Smith as Daemon for quite long. Almost to the very end of the last season I hope so.

Its never touched on in the show. But not all dragon bonds are created equal. Some bonds are more perfect than others, and it tends to be when personalities and dispositions match. Daemon and Caraxes are probably the most well bonded pair in targaryen history because they are both bloodthirsty fierce warriors. It allows them to fly smoother together because they are in sync. Aemond original personality was a shy quaint boy who claimed Vhagar out of pure spite and partly because Vhagar humored him. His weak will let her dominate him and turned him into a second Daemon but with zero redeemable qualities. Aemond needs to shout commands, pull on her harness, and use every trick in the book to get her to obey him. And in certain situations even then its not enough. I dont think we have ever seen Daemon shout a command for Caraxes ever, their bond is just that good. Visenya was Vhagars first rider if im not mistaken, and they grew up on equal footing together so they likely had a very powerful bond

@@brodyestes2376 I do think in terms of all its riders, Aemond might be the best one. He seems to be able to sneak attack with a dragon the size of kings landing half the time against very much smaller dragons and based on the way Aemond thinks I can only think that it would be his tactics in battle. And I do believe Vhagar has taken notice of that hence why she bothers to listen to him and to be honest at her age when she's pissed ain't nobody gonna command her differently. And I think its been established that a dragons bond is very significant, equal but different for many reasons.

@@robinhecker2180 at first, to bring vhagar down, meleys outmanouvered her, after she fell she could just torch aemond on her back, vhagar won because a sneak attack, but the previous plan was almost perfectly executed

@@GonzalezCjuAn05 good point, but ur mentioned scene is also totally stupid, booth dragons crashed to the ground totally crashed, but the riders were totally unharmed, so the dragons. This whole fight scene could have been so much better than this, and them again, how just tell me How could she loose view of a dragon like vahgar, the size of a plane, to get into this sneak attack. It's just stupid in any I mean Any way. The best scene was when aegon and rhaenys started the fight. From this point on, just the pictures were good, but from the logical (yes I look for logic in fantasy series at some point) view this fight was totally stupid and had, at least from rhaenys side, be way more tactical and more flying and more distance and more quick attacks and the use of the speed of her dragon (her dragon is mentioned the fastest of all) been. But they just did the iron fleet to viserion shooting attack thingi to rhaenys and meyles...
