Here is Terry Scott's hilarious comedy record "My Brother" which was released in the late 1950's.
Sorry about the picture, but it was the best I could find and I didn't want you folks staring at a blank screen which is very boring indeed...

Aah, every time I hear this I'm immediately back in the early 70's and it's a Saturday-morning - then it'd be something like 'Sparky's Magic Piano'' or Charlie Drake's 'My Boomerang won't come back' - lovely, warm, sweet memories !

Does anyone else remember Terry doing the 'Curly Wurly' adverts, in the 70's...hee hee... He was also on a couple of Carry-On films too... and of course Terry & June.. and June Whitfield plays Edwina's mother on ''Ad Fab''... Brilliant actor with a real cheeky grin... LOL :0)x

Great song sung by Terry Scott. Those wonderful childhood memories. Britain in a bygone era. You can imagine Terry and his brother wearing grey flannel short trousers with a snake belt, school blazer, cap, long grey socks and brown lace up shoes. Not forgetting the must have accessory. The catapult😂. So much innocent freedom back then. Magical 🎉.

The genius of this record is that it is not just a great British Comedy Classic Record, the genius of the record is Terry Scott Impeccable Comic timing on this song. With out this fact, this song would not have come across the way is does. It is obvious why comic songs vanished away, wen you listen to unique comedy songs like this. When singing comedy songs, you need the VOICE as well as the comedic talent. Terry Scott had both of these talents in great abundance.

Ah yes, early 1970's, when Children had a childhood and not looked at as small adults. BBC Radio Junior Choice. Those were the days, Terry Scott, Sparkys Magic Piano, not to mention Charlie Drake's 'Please Mr Custer' Rolf Harris 'Jake the Peg', Bernard Cribbins 'Right said Fred', and so many more.

How I remember this radio programme fondly. It's my childhood. They used to play this every weekend without fail. Wonderful. It brings back all my childhood memories.

i remember this when i was young. im 53 now. we had a wind up his masters voice gramaphone and this was on one of the brittle records which ws all there was then. we also had harry lauder's ill take the high rd and there was another called oh charlie take it away!!
