I know right?! Especially when he does the coughing/choking sounds around 9:48. Those are NOT easy to do on command and he absolutely nailed it. If I didn't know better, I'd think he actually was dying.
What's creepy is that there is practically no information about him anywhere, no photos, no other prominent work, it's as if he doesn't exist outside the character
Daubeny I hate him! I hope he trips, breaks every single bone in his body (including his tongue), dies in a horrible tragic grease fire and then have his ashes get peed on by an imperial trooper! Long live the empire! Death to the dark brotherhood! Hah! I'm just kidding, I actually think he's a pretty fun character, I especially love his voice it makes my experience playing skyrim fun :3
@@MrWhatdafuBOOM Bruh, forgive 17 year old me. I remember writing this and trying to be creative and utilize a different word rather than contagious. 🤡 Couple of AP eng classes fixed that, don’t worry. Now I can actually write properly.
+shadowsteed15 I like it, but I started to get mad so much hear him following me, telling jokes and bad dancing, I was getting CRAZY, then I retired him to follow me
+Arron Johnson LIKE YOU ARE ANY DIFFERENT. You are the listener to the dark brotherhood, he may murdered milions, but you probably murdered trilions, like really. At least his personality is awesome and not boring.
It always sends a shiver down my spine when Cicero breaks his own character or façade and talks in that serious, deep, dark tone; It’s such an eerie snap between jovial madness and controlled, calculated conviction. (Ex: 32:40)
@@Bongobert Same here, I'm glad to hear that people still play it! Skyrim has become my way of staying sane in 2020. I've also been listening to this daily lol, the voice acting is phenomenal.
17:55 this is one of my favourite cicero lines. not because it’s funny or memorable, but it’s just powerful. _”it hurts when i laugh.”_ the one thing cicero always does is laugh. he’s constantly laughing, whether it’s out of jubilance, anger, insanity or to drive away sadness. not only that, but cicero has a stunningly remarkable laugh. you know it instantly when you hear it. so when laughter hurts, that’s a turning point for cicero. you can hear a mix of pain and fear in his voice, yet he’s trying to smile through his words. then he laughs again, as if to prove his point or double-check himself. it sounds like he’s nearly going to cry. it’s as if he knows he’s about to have his last laugh.
Also, it's pretty relatable and true! As a person with what my doctor labelled as "SEVERE" ADHD (very accurate) if I don't take my meds and hear at least ONE GOOD DAMNED JOKE I'll go into MASS Hysteria.. ILL LAUGH for hours and eventually my sides CANT TAKE GOING IN AND OUT THAT FAST!! it's torture.. I'll switch from Hysterical joker type laughter to crying HARD saying "OH GOD! it HURRRTSSS!!!!" then *HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA* *waterfalls of tears* "I. *GASP* CANT. *GAAASP* *HEHEH* STAAAAHHHP-" *AHAHAHAHAH!* It's F__KING madness for everyone around AND ME it feels good but the pain of continuous LITERALLY *UNCONTROLLABLE* laughter and my sides and lungs Going IN OUT IN OUT is too much to bare but it's a unintentional cardio exercise I can't stop even when I want unless I'm on medication to tone down my response...
I've listened to this video three times all the way through and parts here and there. I've spent a good hour and a half plus listening to this guy. There are so many quotes I wish they'd kept.
"oh i love this one about the butcher, such handy work with the STAB STAB STAB STAB STAB...and then.....STAB STAB STAB STAB STAB." omg i freaking lost it..best character in game ever.
If I were in the Skyrim universe for real and had Cicero as a follower, I would repeatedly lose my shit while trying to sneak up on an enemy because of the things he says.
+Adrian Cizmar no, no, no. It's a quote from a character from Adventure Time (I don't know his name, but it's some kind of lemon man). I just said that quote because both characters act the same XD
When I'm really, really down, I don't watch funny kitty videos. I come straight to this video; it is about the only thing that can bring a smile to my face.
Mary Cowell In his Notebook he admitted to pretending to be a Starstruck fan for the Grand Champion and tried to follow him to assassinate The champion (Referring to the Adoring Fan and how he can become your follower)
I honestly have a real soft spot for these killer clown characters. I like the asthetic, the creep factor, the mental instability. I basically just really like psychotic man child thing. But I think what really sells this guy to me is that he isn't JUST that. He's just a human at the end if the day. He's nuts but there are these little moments when he gets more serious and his voice becomes this low rumbling purr and you get this inkling of the person he used to be before he went off the deep end.
I love him so much. Like actually 🥺🥺 *He's my main comfort character-* I was having an anxiety attack this morning and i just.. listened to his voice and calmed down-
now i need to check that. i didn't do anything at all, i met him by accident and then i ignored the quest. then astrid decided to drag me out of the bannered mare and i forgot about the quest until i got the notification that it failed once i met him in the sanctuary.
@@J3ster_Dig3ster my brother in the lord i was never speaking to you and this was never directed at you. tone it down a little. or at least be like "that makes it better" instead of this overly familiar rudeness. we have not met.
I could never kill him I felt so bad for him because he was never in the wrong about attacking Astrid I think. He was one of the best but most loyal. Though it threw me off at when you me Cicero outside the new dark brotherhood shrine. I always wanted to heal him after seeing him lying dead.
I will *never* hurt Cicero for Astrid. I felt so sad when I saw him lying helpless on the floor with a huge wound. I know it's for satire but I gently placed a potion beside him before I left.
In my first playthrough I killed Cicero because I didn’t realize there was any other option, I suspected he would end up stabbing me in the back (metaphorically or literally, take it how you will) if I spared him. I felt so bad when I went into the dawnstar sanctuary later on and saw his body lying there and I realized that I probably didn’t have to kill him. I was so full of remorse that I went back to a previous save and replayed 2 hours of gameplay just to spare him. I have no regrets about that.
if anyone irl knew how often I come listen to this video they would know I am So Unwell. why am I down bad for this insane jester assassin. his va deserves a fucking award
don't mind me just saving some timestamps 1:12 the words 5:03 why talk?? 15:45 for now 17:54 it hurts when i laugh 26:14 maddening 27:11 the listener is serious? 31:02 sithis will judge us both 31:26 very good very good...listener 32:40 i get it 33:48 okie dokie
Fun fact, there's a nod to the adoring fan in one of his journals! It goes a lil somethin' like: He disguised as an adoring fan to kill some guy in that one fight guild thingy or something idk I'm bad at remembering things
Ok but I have to say in my personal opinion, Cicero's voice acting is some of the best in the game. Out of every other character in Skyrim, his voice had so much emotion and felt more "real" than some of the others. The way he can be over the top, yet still carry so many feelings in everything he says. And that's not even mentioning the whole scene where you chase him through the sanctuary and you can hear the strain of his injuries and his fear of dying. I just love it so much, and it's one of the reasons he's my favorite character.
It's even funnier if you have the "Marry me Cicero" mod (which as the title of the mod suggests, allows you to marry Cicero) cause then basically he's joking about the player being a horker.
Cicero: “Why talk? Cicero has nothing to discuss with you, call it a matter of.. trust.” Also Cicero: “I do wish we could get to know each other” You silly jester I love him so much
@@loranfarrow3243 don't be, it was funny and if you feel embarrassed about this you should see all the stuff I post on Instagram, this compared to what I post is as clean as the cleanest thing you can think of
OMG IM STILL FLUSTERED/EMBARRASSED ABOUT THIS COMMENT! (heads up it's still me, diff account) I DONT EVEN THINK I WAS A TEEN YET WRITING THIS BUT BEING 16 YR NOW IT STILL IS ACCURATE!!! 😣 (I know Skyrim is 18+ but I grew up watching my brothers playing it so siblings tradition/law let me inherit it when all 3 brother got tired of the fandom and I felt fine with the gorey game.. BUT WHYYYYY!!!!!!) I'm just so concerned on how someone finds this line considering I never came across it.. I still cringe at "OoO~ listener.. THAT TICKLES!" yet I had the AUDACITY TO write THIS?! X:D
@@danniefarrow8214 HOLD ON SKYRIM IS 18+?? I GREW UP ON THAT GAME QUITE LITERALLY- (I was like- 7-8? when I started playing skyrim-- I'm almost 17 now--)
literally one of the most unique and thought up characters in the masterpiece of a game that is Skyrim. Also, tip: keep him alive, allow him to be your follower. He’s probably the second best
Is Serana concidered the best for you? I think Cicero is the best follower. He is stealthy, good at archery, he's funny and talks a lot and he is the absolute best. I really like him, if you didn't already guess
The guy voicing Cicero is clearly having a blast voicing him. I wouldn't be suprised if he made some of these lines up out of nowhere and Bethesda liked it so much that they just put it in the game anyway!
Wouldn't surprise me. Improv voice acting is very common. Look at Lamar and Trevor from GTA V, most of their lines are improv that's why their characters are so funny.
Cicero's "that's not a horker, that's my wife" joke never fails to get a smile and a snort out of me. Also I always try to keep a carrot or sweet roll on me in case he says the line where he's hungry. I wanna make sure my friend is always looked after and happy out on the road.
I swear even when you don't say SHIT to him, always pick the "stay silent" option when spoked to, this guy goes apeshit, my favorite character in the whole of Skyrim
