I'm happy that you still have that camo wrap on the Cybertruck. Even though you wanted to change it because of the wrong color. It still looks great and unique.

Wonder how soon it will be normal for all vehicles to have a built-in Starlink dish. This is such a nice upgrade and adds a lot of usability having that rack. Hopefully an off-road trip blog is coming.

I have the roof rack on my MYLR and it changes the whole look. I'm definitely putting these on the Cybertruck after taking delivery. I wasn't planning on lower rails until you mentioned the spare tire, which I hadn't thought of, but it makes so much sense.

yeah, the spare tire on the lower rails is a great option to free up space in the bed. The spare is heavy though so I would keep it above the bed instead of above the roof glass. Just to make it easier to get on/off the truck.

my average before big tires and before the rack was ~450 Wh/mile and is still around 450 Wh/mi. so no noticeable increase!

Now question how you get power to the starlink? Don’t need a cable to run into the cab somewhere?

You can also use 48V power feed on the roof - Starlink mini takes 48V

Yeah, I'll have a future video on that. Originally I ran the wire into the bed for power. However I'm working on an option to run it into the cab so the router etc is protected from dust, sand, water, etc.

now that the starlink mini is available to use in motion, or at least thats what I believe I read, can you use that mounted on top and uses significantly less power?

Yeah, you could. However the flat high performance dish I have provides much better speeds and connectivity than the mini. So I'll probably stick with mine tbh.

Having a giant Starlink dish up there full time is a huge waste of space, why not go with one of the smaller models if you did do that.

when I purchased the flat high performance, there was no smaller models. But the flat high performance yields much higher speeds. So it is still the best. However I did buy a mini to put them both to the test.
