As someone who as a kid had his fingers on the edge of a car door and was shut by the driver thinking I was fully out of the car, I approve of these tests and I'm sure parents with little kids would appreciate it as well...by the way, my fingers were fine but were highly bruised and it hurt like heck...I remember having a cry that broke the sound barrier. That's right, you couldn't hear me crying until seconds later.😄

I tried the same trick as an adult in my mid 30's. The offending vehicle was a mid 70's E class Benz. Let me say that the panel fit on Mercedes was second to none, back in those days. Like you, I let the next town know of my distress. I was quite certain that all my fingers were broken but somehow, there wasn't even a fracture. There was however some pretty impressive soft tissue damage. It took weeks to heal.

Stupidity. This test is malicious. Put your fingers on the door of your house and push the door and write how you passed and then put a carrot and you will see that it will burst. The next test is to put your leg, foot under the front wheel and let them drive you over with a tire feet and tell us how you feel when a 3-ton car runs over your feet. Then do the same with the Ford model, which is much lighter and push the other foot, record a video and tell us how you feel and which foot hurts more. You fools.

Clicking the high beam button to “flash” them will be a more focused beam. Turning the high beams on simply spreads out the beam to a wider angle (so not as focused in from of you) making it seem like it’s dimmer. My MY does the same. It’s best tested against a garage wall when stationary (with about a 10-15 meter gap between car and wall).

Fold flat cabin mid-gates are a death trap when someone is hauling loads. Most trucks are way too weak between the bed and cabin, and lots of documented deaths were caused by the load crushing the front seat occupants during even mild accidents. An alternative for getting airflow from the cabin to the bed for camping is replacing the rear window with a sliding window.

It appears that the Cybertruck was designed to be profitably manufactured, so it left out a lot of extras like pinch sensors, whereas the Rivian R1T was designed to prove that Rivian can make great vehicles to establish its reputation, but it isn't a profitable vehicle.

It is the same with all Teslas. That is why there is nothing beside the screen, even almost no buttons. That is why you don't have ultrasonic sensors or radars and the car can go over a person or hit a huge red bin when reversing. Watch RSymons and these tests with the newer Model3 with no sensors vs an older one with sensors.

@@DooMMasteRI don’t think so. I just know that in my first few cars (1984, 1987, 1991, 2003, 2009) models when I would pull the light stalk back you’d get both high and low temporarily until release. When you pushed the stalk forward you’d get just high and it would stay on. Older cars had the high beams on the floor to the left of the clutch. I believe that when you click down both would be on and when you release either the high or low would switch off depending on what you were in previously. If I had to guess, I assume it works this way so that you don’t ever get a zero light situation as it switches between low and high. By temporarily having both on you know that there is always light. In my current car with LED projectors it switches rather than having both on. It’s possible Tesla was mimicking the “old ways” for some reason.

9.6 kW from truck bed (40a x 240v) [vid test 9.1 kW vs 227v] vs 11.kW from NACS Powershare. The manual states 40a max for *all* outlets combined.

Please go over the rear bumper and why there’s a bumper below the bumper. Killing the departure angle on the truck. Is that crap removable or appear to be?

45:45 I think they failed on the view of the upper windshield by comparison to the Model X which feels open and like a cockpit. CT has lower visibility like a model S/3/Y. Bummer.

Can I use the air suspension on cyber truck to replace the function of a jack when changing tires? Raise it to extract mode, place jackstands (blocks) underneath it, lower it again. Then change the tires. Raise the suspension, pull the blocks and then lower it.

I saw a video with a Citroen doing something like that so why not?

Seeing as each wheel's suspension is independent, couldn't they even contract the suspension on only the wheel you want to change, and extend it on the others, no blocks required?

Re: HVAC to the bed. Where does the cabin exhaust to when you have RECIRC off? Sure, when you have biodefense mode on and/or A/C at max with RECIRC on, there's no cabin air entering the bed or even to the exterior, but if you are admitting fresh air, there has to be a 1:1 amount of air exiting the cabin as entering thru the cabin filter. If turning off RECIRC opens exhaust ports to the vault, there would be some conditioned air getting in there.

19:08 - it is kind of a bummer that there isn’t a fold down mid gate in the vehicle, but it is entirely possible to plug-in a plethora of electric space heaters and run inside of the closed tonneau covered.

The midgate would’ve been the feature that pushed me over the edge to buy one. It’s a shame

I hope we can at least modify the rear window so that it opens (or is removable), then we can get HVAC through to the bed. Or add an extra air pipe on the HVAC to do the same.

@@jonathanmelhuish4530Exactly, such a bad decision not to allow HVAC with folding mid tunnel so you can sleep in safety and HVAC of the cabin and room of the rear bed. On an off-road vehicle, damn it Tesla.

@@artemZinn Yeah, it is disappointing. On the plus side, they seem to be trying to facilitate third-party accessories on the Cybertruck (e.g. with the tie-downs, power on the roof), so I hope they also made it easy to modify other things.

Come on Kyle. When you hold the headlight button it gives you low and high beam simultaneously and when you let off its high beams only just like most every vehicle. 👍 Oh, and Francie has a very sexy voice.
