Okay, I've heard your ravings about Android Auto and Car Play, never tried them until got a rental with it recently. It's crap, wouldn't work half the time, only USB connected worked and only sometimes, when it did it locked me out of maps on my phone so I couldn't find a place to take a break along the route (as a passenger) without cancelling the current route, music worked but it couldn't keep volume levels sane so nav voice was inaudibley quiet. Tesla system just works, without monopolizing my phone.

Well, I almost broke that promise to myself but I shut-off your show after less than 2-minutes. Not totally negative towards Tesla though as far as I could tell in less than 2-minutes. What changed??? Contract run-out since (OEM’s) are “pulling-back” on EV-production? Seems very likely. Just go back to hating on Tesla, I am sure it will serve you well. When charging he forgot to mention that the Hummer's battery pack is exactly twice as large as the Cybertrucks, 246kw compared to 123kw for the Cybertruck. This will allow the Cybertruck to change far faster, dispite the slower charging speed and the battery pack should cost a whole lot less to replace. He also forgot to mention the Cybertruck will never rust, is dent resistant and the windows are resistant to rock chips so the body should last a lifetime, without a major accident.
@CallsignVega
@CallsignVega 8 месяцев назад
Wrong, the Cybertruck chassis is still steel and can rust. Only the external body panels are stainless steel. Also never heard of a much smaller battery pack being considered a positive.
@dougdiamond5774
@dougdiamond5774 8 месяцев назад
@@CallsignVega Both the front and rear castings are aluminum and there is a structural battery pack in the middle. The only things that are probably steel and could rust are the steering and suspension components. The Cyberuck has slightly more range than a Hummer EV with a battery pack half the size. If the pack is twice the size and goes about the same distance, it should take twice as long to charge and the battery pack should cost twice as much to replace. It also means that the Hummer EV is 2500lbs heavier.

SuperCruise on the Hummer is way better than AutoPilot in the Cybertruck because...it doesn't exist! You are touting something as better that isn't even available in the CT. Therefore, SuperCruise is superior for now. And, based on my usage of both, I'll say SuperCruise is actually pretty handy and good to use.

@jff757 8 месяцев назад
Alex, do you really think that Tesla would even commit to a decision that doesn't profit them? Opening their superchargers DOES add more revenue and profit to Tesla. On videos I’ve watched, my impressions are that the Hummer drives smoother and quitter than Cybertruck. In an iconographic sense, both sit well in a dystopian as well as contemporary setting, although Hummer edges the later. For me, they’re both great and in separate ways good for the EV adoption drive - no pun intended but poetic license accepted.

The Cybertruck charges at 350kw, if you can find a 350kw charger. Tesla stated 250kw because st the moment there are so few about claiming 350 would have been misleading. In real life it will charge more than twice as fast as the Hummer because its battery is half the size and its much more efficient. Also drive by wire is a very big deal. In 2003 had a BMW 5 series with active speed sensitive steering, an early partly mechanical attempt at drive by wire. It was great but died out because it was over complicated/expensive.

I wouldn’t call Autopilot perfect … I found that when driving in New Mexico towards Albuquerque, the Autopilot would phantom brake in the middle of nowhere making it untrustworthy. When I got within 30 minutes to an hour of Albuquerque (& in town on freeways), it worked flawlessly. Kinda the opposite of what I expected: Autopilot worked great in a more challenging environment, but couldn’t handle the easy task of driving down the highway in the middle of nowhere without freaking me out!

A rather more positive vid on Tesla compared to your other videos. S3XY are the 4 safest vehicles every made ---- with that record I am confident the CT is a safer vehicle than the Hummer, in addition to the fact that there is no steering column to spear me through the chest in case of a head-on accident. Also, you (I hope inadvertently) omit the information I listed above that is important to the consumer. Why? You should put ALL information out there. For example, the 48 volt system is important because of the way it works. It is much easier to find issues with various electrical systems by just hooking it up to a computer, not to mention being more efficient. No more finding electrical shorts the old fashion way. Why do you get to be the arbiter of what is relevant or not? Let the consumer have it all and they can decide.
