Indeed! All three cars with petrol motors have a great sound. Each one also has its own special character and each of them causes great emotions when driving it. When I once drove a Tesla S, it was like riding a vacuum cleaner with the sound of a mixer. In combination with the bad quality and bad taste interior there were no emotions at all, except for the wish to get out of this thing and get in a real car again. And regarding the "speed", please test all four cars on a real track with curves, cause going a quarter of a mile straight does say nothing about the capabilities of a sporty car. Let alone that the Tesla can only provide full throttle for 20 seconds and then the electronic will start reducing the power to prevent the battery from overheating, while all the other cars will keep on going. Tesla is crap and everybody who is into cars knows this!

He is one of those people that despise change and will do everything he can and change the goal posts consistently just to "prove" to himself his choice is the correct 1. First they were saying electric cars are slow and have no range, solutions for that come out. Then it became they look ugly and boring, solutions came out for that. Then it became they are slow, then there were solutions to that. Now these people have resorted to saying "They cant go around a track" whilst not realising any of these cars shown in this video will barely ever see a race track. Furthermore when Porsche release the Taycan and Telsa the roadster, it should have better cooling than the current Model S'. Agent Paterson definitely. In my experience the quad roll out gives more lag at launch due to torque loss at such low rpms, but really gets moving once it hits about 45 ish. In a longer stretch it may have won after warming up and such, but parity wasn’t reached here to even overtake.

I had the same problem with my M5 Competition after running Launch Control on slippery conditions when all 4 wheels lost traction. System just lost its calibration and started launching the car slower than even without launch control like it wanted to adapt to slippery conditions. To solve it I turned off the engine waited a couple of minutes started it again. System re-calibrated and Launch Control started to work properly. Car again was accelerating so hard that it hurts ;) @Carwow - when you will have again such a problem with the M5 Competition Launch Control just turn of the engine off wait a little while and run it again. It should help and solve the issue! :)

It hasn't solved the issue, more like a bandaid for the bleeding. Bloody embarrassing for such an expensive car to have a temperamental launch control system. I have BMW by the way.

@@gjna5143 Yep, however F90 M5 Competition is on the market for just around half a year. I have ordered mine straight after release and got it in November last year. It can struggle for some childhood problems as all brand new models do. Probably some software update will solve the issue completely :)

Greyson Knox You want to talk quality? Tesla have basic issues like, not getting the trim aligned, water pouring into the cabin AND air slipping into the cabin and that’s just a small bunch. Mercedes cars have average reliability. Meaning it’s not great or poor. Simply because some models are stronger than others. Ex: is the E Class. C&D gave it 4.5/5 for reliability and I own an E class. So yeah, I would know.

lol it doesn't exist?? yes...I too believe the earth is flat as well...bear in mind it's doing the 0-60 in 1.9 which is what the Rimac 2 is estimated to do and that car is over a million bucks. The Roadster 2 is only 200k and the founders edition is another 50k or so and god only knows how fast that thing will do 0-60, quarter mile 8 secs with regular, you're looking at 7 potentially 6 sec in 1/4mile for the founders edition

It's because it has regenerative braking + regular brake calipers. Most daily driving you hardly need to use the brake, the car can come to almost a complete stop (barely a creep) at a light and you just tap the brake to stop it. Brake-life will literally outlive the vehicle.

@@ngu8974 well it depends on car but on BMW and Panamera fastest is launch with all modes set in Sport+ and launch control, launch control is easy in Panamera they say and almost anybody can launch it blisteringly quick, M5 is a bit harder but it still has Launch control so it shouldn't be hard for a normal driver yet alone Racing driver to launch it on factory times

@@ngu8974 overall the fastest way to launch is at max power that Tires can handle and launch control automatically puts redline at that exact power level by putting redline at 3-5k ( or else that's suitable for the car and surface) RPM but of course the surface it is launched on still highly matters, mostly Factory time is achieved on either drag strip or relatively smooth and sticky tarmac such as one on the Autobahn. on Manual and auto with no LC you have to manually choose power level

@@henzo7087 no doubt but still the Gt63 is a beast, and absolute track monster, but nothing beats the P100D, put an order on one yesterday, they are a little cheaper here in Norway, ordered the Raven P100D, claims to do 0-100in under 2.6 seconds for a 4 door, absolutely mental. But without a doubt the F90 is a beast, and got very poor launch, but still BMW fanboys should not be angry because they know the F90 is still faster than its 4door rivals

@@r35spectgt-r84 "a little cheaper"? That's quite an understatement. Electric cars are quite heavily promoted by the government in Norway: no sales-tax, 50% discount on license-tax, a 50% discount on your "weight-tax", no tolls, allowance to use bus-lanes, free parking, etc. etc... With that kind of promotion for electric cars, I'd probably buy one, too. ;)
