Here's the long awaited update on the window alignment issue.
When this was getting fixed, I also took the opportunity to talk to the Tesla Service person about another common issue for you all to look out for! Please ensure you check your own window alignment and also double check the panel that goes across the dash.

No issues with any window gaps so far in almost 2 years of ownership with the model Y. Nor any issues with the dash. Having said that mostly park undercover or put up the front windscreen sunshade.

Great to see you got this sorted out ok! Interesting there's a wider gap on the driver's side compared to the other side now though. Also are your windows tinted? They don't look it, maybe it's because you're in the garage? Living in Qld I would hate to drive around in a car without tinted windows, far too hot up here.

I thought that was odd too. It's an adjustment by eye and then double checking against the door when it's shut. There was no specific measurement involved. Windows are definitely tinted. I'd say it's because of white seats and inside garage. It was pretty bright when I recorded it. I totally agree with the hate of no tints. Feels like driving a fish bowl 😬

My window issue is that when closed the driver's window does not sit flush with the side of the car. Interestingly for this I have to bring the car to the Tesla workshop.

Is there any water leak at all? Very odd indeed. Did you ask if they could do it mobile?

@@zubinixthey came out to my house to fix. They tried to blame it on the people who did my tinting but I shut that down real quick.

Hey listen, I (we) are tired of seeing your post complaining about your Tesla. If you don't like the car sell it too me, and buy a Kia or Ford an ICE vehicle. Heck, I will buy your Tesla, the you can post problems about your Kia.
