I live in LA, own two Teslas and have my life savings worth millions invested in Tesla since 2016. I followed this channel and other Tesla channels for many years. I know everything about Tesla and have defended Tesla and Elon from critics thousands of times. But now that Elon Musk has endorsed Trump, I'm completely disillusioned. How do you choose a person who doesn't even believe in Democracy? Californians buy more Teslas than the other 49 states combined. I haven't sold my TSLA stocks yet. I will do some soul searching before I decide. There are millions like me in blue state California. I feel that Elon has stabbed us in the back.

When our Founding Fathers established this country they were concerned about kings being given too much power and able to make snap decisions that were not well thought out. Therefore, they wanted to slow down the decision making process through more deliberation. I wonder if Elon, having seen China’s president accomplishing things much more rapidly than can be done in the U.S., is in favor of a more authoritarian system, since it could be more conducive to his push for rapid progress of technology in the modern world. Of course, authoritarianism also has many drawbacks for the general population.

It‘s not just people in CA, it‘s a worldwide thing. People who bought Teslas are rather orientated on the bright and positive side. Elon now turning openly to the dark side is more than embarrassing to us. I still am happy with driving my MY, but it‘s getting hard to be proud of it.

Follow the money! Biden/Warren have said they will tax all Billionaires (and hyper-millionaires) with a ‘wealth tax’, hence they (and Elon) are funding Trump. Normal people will do better by voting Biden or whoever else.

Just an insight from someone who had not used X/Twitter in many years and went back to see how it was going under Elons leadership, no pre conception. It was a cesspool of anger, hatred, and misinformation with a few snippets of good content. The banner about free speech is all good and well but X is not a hub of healthy knowledge sharing and not the answer. BTW, I am a Tesla shareholder, so not an Elon hater, just sharing what I see.

I respectively strongly disagree with Elon's screed against mail in voting. I live in WA where this form of voting has been in place for years and highly successful and safe, and strongly endorse mail in voting.

I live in WA too, yes it is easy, but it is not very secure. I literally received my neighbors ballot in my mailbox (our mail gets mixed up all the time). I would gladly give up some convenience for security and legitimacy.

44:35 Because the purpose of the bill isn’t to prevent non-citizens from voting. The purpose of the bill is to prevent millions of AMERICAS (mostly poor) who don’t have ready to passports, birth certificates, etc.

@@ElMistroFeroz A 2006 study showed about 7% (about 20 Million) AMERICANS didn’t have ready access to citizenship documentation. There already is a law that prohibits noncitizens from voting in federal elections: Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996 The Heritage Foundation has found 80 cases on non citizens voting in Federal elections across the United States. (Not enough to sway any election) They want to disenfranchise Millions of Americans to prevent dozens of noncitizens from voting illegally.

@@GMUTaylor6I understand the advertised intent. However the real intent is sad. It’s about the myth of the fraudulent voter. Sure fraud happens, but all the investigation (including by the Trump administration) showed that it exceedingly rare (and has never been shown to change outcomes in a Federal Election). However, the reality is about voter suppression. For decades there have been a series of steps being put in place to make it harder for mostly poor/minorities to vote. Shortening voting times, reducing polling locations, in appropriate purging of voter registration, etc. Heck it’s even illegal in Florida to give water to a voter who’s waiting in line on a hot day.

But if you don't unlock those additional miles from the battery, you can charge to "100%", but since it's not really 100%, you can never "top balance" your pack (unless the Service Mode battery health test does this).

WRT the Got Mugged story, he another one. My former company bought each employee in our facility a company logo travel mug to eliminate providing disposable coffee cups and lids. However, these new travel mugs would not fit under the provided coffee makers that were in the break rooms. D’oh! 🙄

The windshield pillar of the Cybertruck should taper thin to the front to minimize the vision obstruction in the driver or vent or mold the windshield to cut the pillar to the door pillar, just like in the old days when cars had a bent windshield to the door pillar...this removes any obstruction in the windshield.

I checked prices for Mexico two days ago and I was amazed with the current prices. I'm an Acura fan, but Honda/Acura are out of their minds: * The model 3 performance (460 HP, AWD, seats 5) is cheaper than the Integra Type S (320 HP, FWD, seats 4) and it has rear entertainment for the kids, in a sports sedan. * The 7-seater model X non-Plaid (670 HP) is cheaper than the MDX Type S (360 HP) and the MDX no longer offers rear entertainment, which is bunkers. I tried to reason the Integra TS as a fun car where I could practice driving a manual, but that was it. I can get a lot more impressive acceleration and driving sensations from the M3P, so... Original plan: 2019 MDX + 2025 Integra; new plan: 2019 MDX for travel + 2025 M3P for city commute.

False. Building an economy that fosters entrepreneurs like Elon accelerate renewable energy through innovation, efficient capital allocation, and encouraging risk taking. Government does not create or invent much of anything, they are just curators of the rule of law and can either encourage or discourage these activities. So far the current administration has done very little to achieve this goal.

@@albundy6284 You're either a bold-faced liar or completely uninformed. I worked in the utility wind industry in 2016 when Trump was elected. His admin. immediately cancelled all wind farm permits and eliminated the PTC, and pulled the U.S. out of the Paris Climate agreement. My company let me go, and thousands of others in the wind and solar industries. Trump vows again to stop all wind, solar and EV incentives and policies, which will again lay off tens of thousands in the industries and drastically slow its progression. Musk is a damn fool and idiot who's pretty much used up all of the patience of the Tesla board. Look for him to either resign or be fired soon.

It’s not really a 363 mile range since it’s batteries can only be charged to 80% in normal operation. I hope people take the time to realize this. Now…. If it had LFP batteries with a 363 mile range!! That would be great. But without degrading the batteries by charging past 80%, the range is REALLY only 290 miles.

@T.RockTx Rule 1. You CAN charge a Nickel based pack to 100%. . Rule 2 It's not good to LEAVE a Y pack "SOAKING" at 100% for "a period" before use. So, on the occasions when you NEED the full range (Over 4 hours travel at 70mph *average* ) you TIME the charge to end a few minutes before you leave. . Once driving the FASTEST method is to *not* charge past 80% (Actually 70) on ANY cell type because the rate will slow. 5% to 70% is optimum. So100% down to 5%, charge to 70%, down to 5% would give 563 miles. That's a full 8 hours drive. By which time "normal" people are ready for another break anyway.

The original Ford Capri was Ford's European answer to the Mustang. A smaller car but sporty. It was sold in America as the Mercury Capri. Over the two decades of sales it gradually gained weight and got a little slower, just like me. Now, "It's Back", but not as a sports car, but a EV SUV, the same size as a Mustang Mach-e. It's also way more expensive than a Mach-e. If they had downsized it a bit and lowered the cost, maybe it will sell, but, personally, I don't think it will sell in the numbers that Ford is counting on. Of course, some will buy it because it's new, or they remember the old Capri from forty years ago, but let's face it, it is still not a sexy sports car, but a "parking lot which car is mine" small SUV that will blend in with every other similar car out there. Plus, it's based on the VW ID4 platform so good luck there.

I think they should come out with short range versions of the 3 & Y. Put a smaller battery in and then maybe just over 200 miles range and market as s “Short Range City” model. I know I’m gonna get backlash; people think that’s too short range, but there are many people who never drive much, never take long trips and they know it. Cost wise and environmentally wise there no reason for people to pay more and buy larger battery packs that will go unused. 🤔

I've posted before. Model 3 (/Y?) body. As is. Build the castings/ Suspension away from the body. "Unboxed" style. (Faster) GEN 3 Components. The Pack/ interior is already like that. Bolt the casting on. Plug things together. = "Car" Single motor. Re-gear for less 0-60 (6.9 s.... "Because") and economy/ range. "Model 3e" Target ±$30k (Ford facepalm). . THEN The "Full unboxed/ Gen 3" Company AND CAB (Same vehicle.... Equal maximum economy of scale, minimal cost. Only real difference? A "Game controller" style Steering/ Pedal unit. Fit for Compact. Delete for cab.

I feel, "ok, he's an adult and he felt strongly enough to announce it." I'm an adult too and I can still go about my day and make my own decisions. I think Elon probably feels some camaraderie with Trump because they both have to suffer a tirade of biased news articles/shows, opinion pieces and podcasts on a daily basis... most of which are just left-leaning NPCs regurgitating whatever line the central information bureau send out as the way they should think today.

13:11 I work retail, as a cashier, they tell us to call magement if there is someone trying to steal so if there are people painting teslas and not for a reason, the employees aren't trained to kick butt it's like someone steals something just walks out, until someone is called. Why is Ford ruining another of their top brands by designing them as SUV? The Mustang and the Capri were Sport cars. What’s the point in turning them into SUV‘s? That doesn’t make any sense. I have fond memories of the Capri growing up as a teenager in the late 70‘s / early 80‘s.

Problem with your Cybertruck FSD. Elon said it would come with version 12.5.x. Most people are still on 12.3.6 and we was supposed to have wide release back in May 2024. It’s now Middle July and less than 5% of Teslas with FSD have 12.4.3. Putting them at least 2 months behind. With that it’s easy to see the Robo-Taxi event could be pushed back 2 months. Ford capri has mire then sufficient range. 0-60 in 6.4 seconds is very fast. Charging speed is good. This is a great car. Would never buy it, but please stop hating on ford if they are actually doing better than most.

I bought a Mercury (a Ford brand) Capri in 1973. It was light years better than the Ford Pinto deathtrap. 4-banger, manual, AM-FM, no A/C. Super fun to drive.

I got a Ford Capri v6 3 litre GT in 1979. Went like the clappers. Racing gearbox and suspension that would never let you down. Evidently the only street legal car that could go from the showroom to the rally track with no mods and do well. Mine was bright red with a black gt stripe. 100% fun!

Musk doesn’t let Tesla buy advertising and doesn’t have a marketing department. If I recall Musk didn’t see value those things would bring to the table. But now I learn Musk is going to donate $45 million per month to a PAC that backs Trump. A PAC is going do ad buys on various media platforms to advertise Trump. Musk sees value in advertising for a politician but doesn’t see value in advertising for a car manufacturer? I have been an advocate for EVs in the comments sections on my local media. I am still going advocate for EVs, but my tone is definitely going to change.

Regarding the tip - are we just talking about "windows close on lock"? (that one seems pretty basic and obvious) or are we saying that it closes automatically when rain is detected? If it's the latter, maybe someone can explain further? Do you need to change any settings?

Something less obvious - say you want to air your car out from smells and moisture but you typically keep your "windows close on lock" on; if you click the lock icon (on your screen) when your door is open, when you get out and close the door, the doors will instantly lock and the windows will remain in whatever position they were in (fully open, partially open, closed)

Ok , so Harley Davidson is getting 89 million dollars to expand its York plant , but they don't keep spare parts for their OG Livewire ! I got rear ended at a stop sign in February 2024 on my Livewire and have been waiting 5 months (and counting) for my bike to be fixed at the Harley dealer that I bought the bike from , and I am being told that parts availability is the problem. At this rate I will have the bike I have placed an order for through a startup EV motorcycle manufacturer Savic will be ready before the Harley Livewire is fixed !
