The acceleration is unmatched on EV's, but combustion wins in the long run once you start getting up to the 140's +mph. Unless you have the new Tesla roadster coming out...nothings beating that.
@@jamesdavis5329 Looks like the camaro comment got you triggered huh lol. Actually I have been around / worked on cars most of my life. Sorry man, like I said.. they sound good but have no go. Im sure the ZL 1 is more fun but the SS is a waste of money and disappointing to drive
Battery cars are the kings now of racing. I won’t buy a trackhawk or Camaro or one of those racing cars. Because I know chargers battery cars are better than all of those.
They aren't the kind of racing. They might excel at drag racing, but not racing in general. They don't have any kind of top end power or speed. They don't have endurance. After a few laps they'll be down for hours while a petrol will be refueled in 60 seconds and back on its way.
@@JordonPatrickMears11211988 Plaid does 200 MPH. Camaro SS top speed is 165. Tesla can do several runs before any slowdown. Recharge back to 80% in less than 30 minutes.
@chrishightower221 yeah, an ss only tops out at 165. But what about all the 200mph+ sports cars that exist. And a 30-minute charge is still gonna leave you 4 laps behind on a track as long as the 'ring. Even more so on other tracks. Depending on the length of the race, a petrol car could finish before you're even halfway done. Also, the plaid is a 90k+ car, and the SS is a 43k+ car. I can easily mod that SS for an additional 47k and gap a plaid all day. Let me just slap a super charger or twin turbo, put some aero on, throw in an awd system, throw in some forged internals, and maybe a few other parts and yeah, the plaid ain't beating it. Even with the ss being slower stock that recharge time is gonna kill you because while both vehicles get around 3 laps to tank or charge, like I said, I can refuel faster and get back to making laps... so by the time you're done charging, I'm already coming back in for another pit. Every 3 laps, you're losing about 2 laps or so. So yeah, unless it's a short exhibition race and you don't have to pit, you're losing. Sorry, not sorry. You might wanna find a way you can swap that battery instead of having to charge... but that's not gonna be easy given its location, lol.
