This looks amazing ! Really like it. I have honda accord sport 2017, and looking to buy this "tesla style" now, because I saw your video today for first time. :) I 'd like to know, how's things now going with this radio, do you have any problems with it ? I saw one of your comment it's said that you were having problem with back camera and you will ask for refund or something like that and I was wondering do you still have this radio in your car ? Thank you in advance
Yo K, have you figured it out how to change the Audi on the home screen? I got mine today and just finished installing it. This PX6 boot up quicker and the sound is really good. Probably has built in DPS and the EQ app has more stuff you can do.
Does the microphone work well when making phone calls? Have you had any issues. Does the screen show any of the info that is available on the main screen of the Accord. When backing up do the telemetry lines move when turning the steering wheel. Thanks
Microphone is fine but was told it sounds tinny. Camera worked fine and moves with wheel. Screen CAN show what factory used to but I find it easier to download car apps to do it
Hello! Thanks you so much for sharing this video. My top screen cracked in the weirdest way and needs to be replaced. This is dope. 1 thing I love about my car is the side camera. Would the side and rear camera feature sync/work with it?
hey buddy very good video. but I'm looking for that same radio for my 2015 honda accord, and I can't find that same radio you used. I've searched everywhere 🤦♂️
I'd buy one but not since I read you can't turn the oil light off without hooking up your old until, that blows! They'd make more sales with me and the car clubs if they fixed that issue 😉🤘
is the glare really bad? I have a 2015 accord LX and am planning on doing the same thing you did. I'm just researching like crazy now before i pull the trigger. Thanks
Kpaceguy i got my windows tinted too in the front so maybe I’ll be ok. Are there any features or adaptors or parts that I need to make sure I don’t forget to order them? I want to use CarPlay, Bluetooth, and the navigation but the navigation is only used by tethering to the phone. Right?
Another question. Are the metal rails the mounting brackets? Also with the subwoofer rca y splitter, is it a regular rca female end or is does it have an end like a guitar rca end where it is flat and doesn’t have the piece that sticks out which the male end plugs in and also has the metal circle that goes around the femal end?I don’t have my radio with me my wife is bringing to me tomorrow and I want to order the splitter.
Y splitter that is flat on all ends. One plugs into the radio and then you plug your subwoofer RCA's into the other ends. There are no mounting brackets. They clip into bathroom factor clips the factor radio used. It essentially just sits in the dash
any major issues you run into when installing? Are the wiring instructions easy to follow? I want to make sure I don't cross any wires or mess anything up on the install. Is it easy?
There are no instructions it's that easy. The plugs in your car match the plug on the radio perfectly. You can't plug it in wrong they only fit into one plug each. No issues so far
Ray Kwong hey Ray I saw from some of your other comments that you've got a '13 LX and you were looking to get the 12" with no ac controls. I am looking for the same setup, and have the same car. How has your experience been? What was your install process like? How does the screen work with the backup camera? Does it impact sound quality? Is everything connected by hotspot, or does this function like carplay? After using it for a bit, how is the UI - is it user friendly, or pretty janky / can you update or customize it?
I got it for my CTS. It's great. Processing takes a while because they actually do QA testing. They contacted me through Whatsapp to send em a pic of my current dash console to make sure they send me the right one. I recommend paying extra for DHL shipping. Shipped from Hong Kong and arrived and delivered in NY next day.
Hey did your unit come with a decoder box?I just recieved my px6 unit yesterday and installed today.i have no steering wheel control,no backup cam and the wire for the hazards dont fit.
@@djtylerstoneforceintl8267 nope didn't have that. Just a thin red wire attached to a harness full of speaker wire, turn signal wire, hazard lights, acc, and etc
I'm in the market forever replacement for my 2017 Accord Sport but every video I see everyone says that they can't get their backup cameras to work anymore I really like this setup do you have your camera working yet? And if so how did you get it to work
@@markanthonyking9090 I finally figured it out. I was missing the female RCA connection that goes from radio to male ends. I thought they didn't ship it but luckily the wire fell between my car seat. Once I plugged it in it was immediately fixed. Back Up camera working perfect and all other functions
I just got the stereo install, the only thing I have problem with is I just only install 6/8 wiring from original stereo to this new head unit. And I think it cause the stereo always slow boost, or always start up slow because all of the system (stereo, trip odometer always show 0) always new after I turn off the car. Do you have the same problem? How many wiring you can hook up? Mine is total 8!!!
So I have a 2014 Honda Accord EXL so the interior is different than yours I have a touchscreen already in the middle where yours is just buttons. Will it still work?
@@mikesmalls8260 you can add an aftermarket camera of any type. It connects via rca in. It used to pop on when I first got it but stopped showing the image from the camera. I put my old radio back in for a second and camera works fine so I'm not sure. Other than that the radio is wonderful. Although I'll probably sell mine and get a px6 version
Love this! I dont want to lose my AC buttons and everything! Can I get this one for my 2013 honda and ewww china ??! I'm so scared to order it now because of that virus lol. Its skin to skin contact
@@Kpaceguy I know the company itself is out of Cali but the rep told me it ships from China ! I asked her is she sure it doesn't ship from Cali!? She said it ships from China 😂😂😂 Also so the 15 inch will take away my ac buttons and everything right?! So get the 12 inch!? I love this radio but I heard you're still having problems with the back up camera to work ?! That's a problem for me 😂
@@CierraLaSexcMixicana definitely get the 12 for the a/c controls AND because it looks better in general. Yes I've had camera issues and I dont know why BUT I'm just going to get an aftermarket camera for 15 bucks and itll be fine. Frustrating. But fine lol. And it could only be my certain car. Nobody else has had any troubles that I've talked to
@@Kpaceguy I think there's something called a CAN BUS adapter that might help with some of the camera issues. I saw it in another video. I have a 2014 Accord EX and I don't want to lose my backup or lane watch assiste cameras. Thanks for the video. Another thing: I saw that 15" version and thought the vents looked TERRIBLE and also didn't like the idea of losing my A/C controls. Good call on the 12". It's hands-down the better model. How is the screen glare during the day? And how is the startup time?
What radio company and model is this I just picked up a 2016 accord and I don’t want a scene that takes over the ac controls. And do you know the. Voltage that comes off these head units?
How long does it take the unit to boot up? If I go into reverse right after I started the car, can I get the rear view screen immediately? If not, how long is the wait? Thanks.
how you liking this deck. common issues i know with android decks are they overheat specially if you leave the car outside in a hot day, they never work 100% as advertised like does the rear camera work now or will it connect with android auto or apple carplay without freezing or without buying extra equipment and i know they cheaped out on the output as most decks putout 4v but these androids put out 2v. my question is, is the distortion noticable? do i need to buy a dsp to get rid of the hissing sound? i had a joying android before and it was not a good purchase. the lcd died on my way to vegas (6 hour drive) cuz it overheated running my navigation and streaming music. my bro bought a pumpkin android for his car and his volume knob broke after 6 months and we notice on both decks if you put the volume at 0 you hear pink noise it not noticable when music is playing but you can hear it at 0 volume. the shop told us to buy a dsp to raise the output to 5v, we were gonna buy one to test but my deck took a shit and decided its not worth it. that was a couple of years ago and technology moves fast so i wonder if its worth buying one again
I've had zero trouble out of it even on long rides. I'm 100% happy with it. I wish that the android version wasn't soooo outdated. Its like android 5.1. Were currently on 10. But it functions fine
@@Kpaceguy big 3 and secondary battery are a must. you have a 2k amp and it draws alot of current. your stock wires from alternator to battery, engine to ground, negative battery to ground could be as skinny as 8 awg and its restricting your charging system. you will end up overheating the alternator. whats worse is you could starve the amp because the alternator cannot keep up with the current draws causing your amp to overheat and send a clip signal to the subs and blowing them. this is from experience and everyone with a system pushing 1500w will tell you the same. last thing you want is a repair bill for a new alternator or have a blown system. doing the big 3 will make your system sound clearer, night and day difference. the lights inside and out will be brighter and some cases if your car uses a drive by cable the car accelerates faster. the second battery is just a power bank to help the alternator from over working itself trying to top off the main battery. make sure the battery in the trunk is an agm not regular lead acid. lead acid can leak and mess up your trunk and you will be breathing in the off gases. this is not to talk smack. im giving you info from experience to get the most out of your system and keeping the car reliable. looking forward to your next video
I believe we talked some time ago about you having an issue with your backup cam screen going black. Did you ever find the issue? I just got my 12.1 back yesterday after months of waiting for them to send me a replacement and currently working on the backup cam. I have rear cam when I manually choose it under "apps" but nothing when I gear it into reverse.
Kpaceguy Yeah that's the one I have. I'm looking for the 3 or 4 pin different codes to punch in under "install set" because I forgot the one I used mo ths ago. I remember under that setting you can change the connection type for the reverse camera. Happen to have these pin #s? Also, they now have a faster version of the PX6 out. It's the Android 9 I believe. If I figure this out I'll let you know so you can get get yours straight when you get it. Matter fact, I'll just make a video.
@@3rdzodiac I just bought px6 and my backup camera doesn't work. The Phoenix website gives reqs under user settings and to long press button to take you into another setting with pin But mine doesn't go there. Anyone else having this issue?
I have the PX6 one in my 2014 Accord Sport and dont have steering wheel controls and reverse camera. Coming from the 15.1 screen that had it all and I can't figure out why I'm having an issue with this one.
@@Kpaceguy Yeah I think I'm going to install the camera harness from the 15.1 and see what happens. Last time i tried it it gave me rear camera but still no reverse picture. And the company takes ages to respond back, smh.
@@Kpaceguy follow these steps General settings Install set (8861, 7890, 1688, 1680) should be one of those codes Car type: Accord L Tap Accord L Now you should see a pic of an Accord on the next screen Tap the box on upper right hand corner of that picture The tap Boot logo and go to 'HomePage logo' and then tap the box again Hit Ok Hit the back button Hit save and reboot
@@Kpaceguy disappointing to say the least. Personally I do my cars oil changes, as part of that process you have to reset the oil maintenance light. I saw you were asked that question and you mentioned that you go to the dealership for that service. Curious if you have had it changed yet and if they turned off the reminder that pops up in your dash?
@@Drewlinska I'm at 50% oil life and should change it at 15% so I haven't yet. But they'll reset it when the time Comes I'm sure. It won't pop up on the radio but it'll tell me in the speedometer
Kpaceguy I did an oil change today and yes you can reset the maintenance light withought the iMID display. Still have a few days or more before my Android radio comes in. What video did you use to install yours?
@@Drewlinska It was so easy that you needed no video or instructions of any kind. Everything is literally plug and play. It's like the toys when we were younger. Circular ball goes in the circle shaped hole, square shape goes into the square hole. Triangle into the triangle slot. It's that simple
@@Kpaceguy Yea I’ll have to keep looking for another like this. They look really cool, and they block the second screen which becomes kinda useless if you install and aftermarket one
