If you recall the infection rate poster from the first episode, getting bit on the neck/head is about a 15-20 minute timeline. At the point she died, she'd almost completely been taken over. She probably wouldn't have made it out of the building.
With every reaction to this episode I always wait in anticipation to the moment when the word "BOMB" appears..... this time to Evie's "Damn!!!" The second thing I anticipate if the reactor gets quieter once in the museum - Evie very softly whispered "Okay." only to shreak loudly at seeing the clickers. This was another great react!
Important distinction for this show, the infected are NOT zombies, they are still alive but the fungus has taken control of their brains. They can be killed Ike a regular person, the fungus needs a LIVING host. Most people that watch this without playing the game forget this.
Scientists believe the Cordyceps control the BODY, not the brain. It basically cuts the brain off from muscle control and puppets the insect itself. Which is why in the game you hear the people crying
so much fun in the game those clickers.. especially when there are other enemys near and you lure them by throwing a brick or bottle and watching them all fight :) even though Anna Torv (Tess) was only with us for a couple of episodes she was awsome.. just like she was in the series "Fringe" that is another Great tv series.
This one was a tough one. We lost Tess and that hurt. One thing I should say is that Craig Mazin stated the reason Tess and the infected man "kissed" was due to the cordycep inside the man recognized the cordycep inside Tess and wanted familiarity. I seeks itself in those who are infected. Dr. Ratna in Indonesia was a mychologist, someone who studies fungus. Particularly mycellium which is what the tendrils are that come from the mouth. I am so loving that you are doing this show Evie. The intelligence you bring to your reactions is refreshing. Thank you from a fellow Canuck. Sending love to you and the new one.
@@eviereacts Tess from the show is portrayed by Anna Torv. Annie Wersching did the voice acting and motion capturing for Tess in the game and passed away I believe just a couple days after this episode aired.
13:25 The Jump Scare is strong in this one. 5 Gold stars for the set designers, 5 Gold stars for the costume designers, 10 gold stars for the actors as Clickers. Top triple grade A acting right there. 19:54 We now induct Tess into the Badass Hall of Fame, she is the most Badass of all Badassness. Rest well you Badass.
Ok, You react to adaptations of two of my ALL Time Favorites. Favorite Video Game, The Last Of Us. And Favorite Book Series, Outlander. Both shows are truly amazing but the source material is 1000 times better. You gained one more subscriber.
Another wonderful reaction, Evie! Although all the episodes were great, I'm definitely looking forward to your reaction to the next one. Thanks for all the great content!
