@@ivanmaric4752 That would be US. Keep in mind that if you are really pushing it or only climbing steep mountain grades then it will be less. Also it should be said that the speedometer is about 6% on the optimistic side so calculations must include accounting for this to be truly accurate. So in the end it really depends on your riding style.

I owned a Buell too! (X1 Lightning). I love twin motorcycles. Bike is ok on non paved roads. But don't expect to much out of it.

The roads here in north east Maine are very rough and I find more control and less wallow with stiffer preload and rebound rate reduced. I forgot to mention in my last comment that the rear shock is also rebound adjustable. Also, I weigh almost 110 kilos.

@@chiefpepdesign Hoi Pep, heb volgens mij de Nederlandse versie bekeken. Vond het juist wel leuk dat er een review was van eigen bodem en herkende je op en aanmerkingen. Maar over het algemeen een heerlijke motor.

Centenarios were made in 2021, and only sold in 2021. Dealers selling them now should be telling people they are not 2022, they don't have 2022 tyre pressure monitoring (which apparently isn't very good anyway).

@@djsomers100 they were taken off the website though after 2021, when did you order yours? I had to wait 6 months for mine, irrespective of when they got delivered they are 2021 spec. So I'm guessing stuff made in 2022 was already on the order books from 2021

@@mmm357m I bought mine off the showroom floor in about August '22 at dealer in Bellevue, WA. I have the factory certificate and it was given its final factory certificate in March of '22. In fact, I just noticed it was signed off on my birthday! It is a V85 TT E5 USA. I have heard two versions of why they continued making in '22. One was just due to pandemic. The second is they continued making until they had exhausted the Centenario colored parts.

You mean those little circle shaped deflectors? I saw them on their site for 40 euros. Do they really help? There is indeed a lot of wind buffeting under the helmet and on the torso coming from that area

​​@@henrietn I made my own from some scrap Acrylic I had laying around. And some brackets/bolts. It did make a difference. If you look at that area in front of the tank it's all ramming the air flow into your head area. The place I think I am going to block off is the fake air inlet on the front mudguard under the lights. I have also added a Storm muffler only. This releases a little bit more of the gorgeous Guzzi V-twin sound's 🔊. It is not super loud and obnoxious, just nice imo. @@chiefpepdesign True, I just find this blinking Indikator so annoying that I prefer to preset the speed at need again ;-). My favorite bike after 40 years of riding. The small quirks are part of its “charm”, for me at least.

My V85tt came with additional locks to key match, easy for dealer to do on prep.

What did you do to it?

@@falcn12 got rid of the boat anker that the stock exhaust system was also replaced the rear rack with a light weight option. it's all documented on my channel if you are curious.

@@ryanvallieu594 I have not seen any solutions other than replacing the original headlight so far, but you are correct, I had to replace mine after a crash and it weighs quite a bit as well.

Haven't had problems till now. Didn't do a knee down yet, but did push the bike very much. No problems.

There are now some after market 3D print “Mouse ears”. I installed those on my Red and White E4 but didn’t have the chance to test with the tall windscreen yet (Too hot in Arizona right now). But I clearly remember when I purchased the bike that the previous owner delivered with the tall windscreen, how uncomfortable was the ride at freeway speed. Since then only use the short one

Difficult question. I have these paniers since a) they look better imo b) it can carry a full Face helmet... The Guardia is really complete. You have to make the calculation if you add the stuff yourself. I paid around € 300,- more than the travel edition, but now have the color I want...

I think so yes. You will adapt your riding style with the 850 twin very vast. Especially with the cruise control you will notice that you travel much more relaxed. But, if nescassary the bike will do whatever you like. Make your testride with your wife. Just to convince yourself.

100%! But, I don't know the A rijbewijs rules precisely, so you would have to look if it 'fits' in the regulations. Apart from that, you will definitely be able to handle the bike. As said in the video, it really gives you a lot of confidence. 👍

@@chiefpepdesign license-wise it's fine. I'm 38 and the A is the one allowing whatever you wanna ride (A1/A2 are the ones for drivers under 24). Just really wanted to have a good idea of what the bike feels overall since I'm also going to commute for work occasionally. Your video really hit the spot. Really thanks a lot!!! 😉👍

this is definitely a good bike as a first bike. its my first bike and done 17000 miles so far with no problems.

@@nickralph6765 That is great to hear, I am totally in love with this bike and I haven't driven it yet, only sat on it, but it has been love at first sight, especially the Guardia d'Onore version. I will rent one as soon as I got my diver's license in December just to make sure I am comfortable driving it, and then December 2023 I will buy my own :)

Maybe for the Kawasaki if (long distance) touring is your thing. This is a character bike which you buy for a big piece for the quircks, legacy and story.

They always communicate a way lighter weight just to be sure. I believe you can fill it till 15kg easily. I would never do that, but I am sure this wouldn't be a problem. But don't go over 130km's per hour with that weight in the back.

I can't give you advice. You really need to go to a dealer and talk to them and sit and ride on several bikes.

Indeed funny to hear/read! I have a mod (from the factory the other day) which gives the bike much better responsiveness. I don't know about the mod you have. Is it official from MG? As the bike rides now, it's perfect. I don't miss anything.

@@chiefpepdesign the one I mention is the guareschi map, developped in Italy and done with a partnership with Termignoni. You need to purchase a terminal with an ecu cable/connector equipped with bluetooth and then you can download the map with your phone and inject it (it bypasses lambda sensors).This is also reversible... What about yours : a MG genuine remap or the latest map release ? I am not aware MG proposes a map upgrade ?! I am curious to know how you modified it because I was a little frustrated by the slight delay on the throttle but it seems the euro5 catalysor has its role in it. Cheers

@@sylvainarnaud4655 I would never put an unofficial map in my MG. Mine is indeed the official latest update. Just go to your official MG dealer and they update it for free. You can just wait for it. It's like 15 minutes work. Day and night difference. The delay you are talking about will be completely gone.

Never tried that... Sorry. I've managed 1 liter on 23 km's several times...

I've done it. 3,7 is possible using E5 98 octane fuel. 95 octane raises the consumption about 3 to 4dl per 100km, so it is not worth it, even it is cheaper. Also, what is not well documented anywhere, is that v85TT actually tells the consumption higher than it actually is. Sometimes even half a litre per 100km -normally 4dl. Please, do not use 6th gear when driving 70-80kph. I did 3,7l/100km, by driving mainly in fourth gear about 70-90kph. I have seen that 3500-4500rpm is best for consumption (and engine wear). Use 6th gear after 100kph, or even later, if you have panniers/passenger.

It is wind resistance which increases consumption for motorcycles, not necessary higher revs. V85 has not enough torque in about 2500rpm to save fuel at all, it actually consumes more. I think in second gear, 2500rpm is still ok.

@@chiefpepdesign Nice, then it should be good for me too. It also doesn't look small compare to you, I think the top case adds to that feeling. Did you by any chance try Suzuki V-Strom650? I'm curious if the Guzzi slower than the Suzuki. I know on paper the Guzzi has slightly more power but the V-Strom is liquid cooled and maybe revs higher? I tried the V-Strom a month ago in Spain on twisties and thought that it was enough amount of power for that kind of bike, it is also good in the corners. Only downsides I noticed is that the front fork dives a bit more than ideal while braking and the brakes are a bit weak, but it wasn't major and I got used to that quickly. I own a naked bike and some day in the future want to get a second bike which is more comfortable for touring. @@Ringer1982 V-Strom is a great allround bike! For sure. Love the bike, especially the newest with all the digital features. I don't really like to compare that bike with the V85. With all do respect, the V-strom is more a 'volume' Japanese bike which lacks that 'special' feeling and characteristics...

@@chiefpepdesign what also appeals to me is that I can do much more maintenance myself on the Guzzi. Like changing spark plugs and adjusting valve clearance. Because the cylinder heads stick to the sides. But from the other hand the Japanese bikes are typically more reliable and therefore require less maintenance.

Ze kondigen hem wel op de achtergrond via de grote schermen aan zie ik met: 'coming soon'... Ben benieuwd! En is uiteraard een kwestie van tijd omdat ze het blok al in de V100 hebben zitten.

This is exactly why I choose an Italian bike. I hope I made clear that the character is the thing that wins above any other bike or anything. And it's these 'quirks' that make the bike...

I also went for 1st service, after update bike didn't run. They updated to 35kW started to work. Now they are trying to make it to full power. Bike in service for 4 days now, waiting for good news

It's not as bad as you think.

I mean, this would be perfect with: Water cooling Chain transmision ( I know its against motor design but its a fact) Lighter ( at least 20kg to think in some ofroad travels) Less confort to gain a reasonable price ( to get confort I get a car), this sould cost 10k next , yes, under tenere and ktm, it is what it is
