Roedix contacted me about a month ago, and asked if I would be interested in testing and reviewing their Roedix R7 Air Duster. After much research I decided to give it a try, and wasn’t expecting much from the product. The testing of this Air Duster turned out to be a lot of fun, and surprising as well.

You're the best Robert, and thanks so much. I did have a lot of fun with this video, and the one I am working on now is fascinating also, but I have to wait to get my truck back to finish it (for another part of the video)... Thanks again Robert for your kind words, they are very much appreciated, and inspirational. I will try to speak more on the subscribe and like aspect of Outside In ;). 👍👍👍

Thanks Rob, and I am sure you mean the Aoboco. It is just unfortunate that they stopped producing them, at least Amazon keeps saying don't know when or if they will ever be back in stock hmmmm... Yes, and every time my truck is sick, so am I LOL. I am just in knots waiting - I hate waiting :).

What about a practical real world use feedback, do you find these actually help keep your workspace etc... clean in a way that is worth it? or what else are you using these for?

Sorry, I just use these for video comparisons because I know allot of people do use these in their studios. I myself just use a rag and windex to clean. Once in a while I will pull out the Aoboco because of its power for cleaning out computers or inside appliances, but for on the desk, no I don't use these to blow dust around - A feather duster works much better LOL. Blowing dust with these from your desk, just distributes the dust everywhere, but a feather duster keeps the dust from spreading so much. These blowers are GREAT for blowing out computer cases, toasters, ovens etc. etc.. As a matter of fact, I just finally bit the bullet and purchased the Meco Aeverde, and look forward to doing a test and comparison with that. I couldn't help it, it is my favorite color ;)... Oops, I forgot to mention, I do use the Aoboco for vacuuming though, they are great for that in an office environment, but to use just the blower in an office is kinda pointless as you are just blowing the dust or trash to another part of your studio to be found and cleaned up later.

@@Outside-In. That's what I pictured for cleaning with it just making a dust storm elsewhere expect like special use cases, like with a PC you'd take it outside and dust it so wouldn't be an issue. I usually vacuum computers which works a bit, but the dust sticks on thing and blower would get more off.

@@radfaraf Yes, I agree, these are great for blowing things out, but I definitely would not use them to blow dust off of furniture, no way. The Aoboco, and now I am hoping the Meco Aleverde will be just as good (since you can't get the Aoboco any longer). I have used the Aoboco several times when I needed the blow force, and it works beautifully. You are also right that taking a computer etc. outside is definitely the best idea to blow out dirt and dust for sure. A rag and windex works wonders to clean the desk off and furniture - that way the dirt and dust stays in the rag LOL.

@@Outside-In. I need a mini robot that can climb furniture and electronic equipment and desks, shelves., etc.. and clean everything. Like those robot vacs for the floors but is capable of cleaning everything and not just flat uncluttered stuff.

@@radfaraf 😆🤣😅🤪 Maybe Elon will be coming out with one of those soon... But then you would just have to pay attention that you would not step on the little guy as it was walking over to climb up the next chair or desk. The little guy would also be climbing over you to get to the other part of the desk while you were trying to work, and that could get annoying after a while LOL...

This is a good video, but it claims to have 100.000 rpms. And it didn't sound like it. Was going that fast so if you had a way of measuring the RPMS, that would be interesting. It probably don't matter to most people. But if someone is messing with something with a motor it would be nice to know what the RPMS actually are 🙂

Thanks Joe and I definitely agree. I wanted to test the RPM, but getting it apart is probably going to mean breaking it, and I do like this, so not sure what I will do. You are also right about the RPM not being 100,000 because that is what I was thinking as well from the sound and why I was excited to take this apart in the video, but like I said, I already nearly broke the orange piece on back getting that off, and after removing the two screws, there was NOTHING budging at all, and I just knew that if I kept it up I was going to break it. Who knows, maybe I will try again to see if I can take it apart, but the other reason I decided to leave well enough alone is simply because it is just as powerful (and more so) than Roedix claims it to be, and also another reason I decided to not take it apart for the RPM test. I had only the intention of taking it apart IF it did not meet the specified claims. ...But you are right, it would be nice to know how many RPM this really is, as I doubt very much it is actually the claimed 100,000... Thanks for your comment and thoughts - much appreciated.👍

Hey Joe.... I just had a great idea and tried it and it seemed to work. I took a black marker and colored the aluminum fan housing all over and left a slit not covered, which created the reflection I needed without having to take the blower apart, and I got a reading of 50,800 rpm on high speed. Pretty awesome. I am getting another tachometer in a few days that registers up to 99,999 rpm, and I think I will create a video showing the rpm of this blower - should be pretty cool. The tachometer that I have says it only goes up to 30,000 rpm, but it was showing 50,800 with this blower, so not sure. Want to wait to get the one that actually goes higher in readings to see if there is a difference with that one. I thought you would like to know that you were right about the blower sounding not right for 100,000 rpm... 🤔🧐👍
