Great video. Thanks guys. During my "zen-like" moment of self reflection I realized again that my Rancher 420 is awesome for what I do. I also realized, that when I decide to cough up more coin, and I double the ponies, an Outlander L 570 Limited Edition is what fits my real needs.

Love the fact that you did your monologue with both you and the bike covered in mud. Thumbs WAY up!

i have a 2014 650 XMR, and love it, it does perform excellent on trails, kinda bumpy on the road of course with the tires, but definitely a very maneuverable ride. I had a 2009 550 xpeps sportsman, no comparison to this great atv. i would expect the 570 feels the same as mine. i can kick the ass end wherever i want even at 60 km/hr on the trail. so trail riding................yes it can, and keep in mind even though tires are bigger than the tires on the stock 650 outty, its geared to be exactly same speed and torque. i know cause i raced my buddy's 650 XT from hole to finish, except the xmr is tapped at 105 km/hr and the stock XT is 120 km/hr. so the end is, top end is faster............neck and neck the rest of the way, but in mud, the XT doesn't compare. The 850 and 1000 cc can am's will get you there faster, but top ends governed the same XMR 105 km/hr, the rest 120 km/hr. definitely worth the money, i never have to clean my rad............

Luke I have to disagree with you. Coming from an Arctic cat I believe it's not bad on the trails. The power steering is probably a great factor not ever having it in the past. I took it out for the first time last weekend near you guys just off of pine springs road in Halliburton and just loved it. Now I'm a Can AM Man for sure. Been riding the Halliburton trails since 2006 and never ever seen you guys there Maybe one of the days.

I have a 2017 570 DPS. It does pretty dang good in the mud. Unfortunately I have gotten my rad covered before and the bike kept going into limp mode. I don't mud enough to do a relocation kit I like having the utility space. So yes I'm glad I didn't buy an XMR like I had originally thought I would

i have a 2017 outlander 570 XMR and i love it! its a great all around machine for trail riding and mudding but my 1 major MAJORE complaint is the stock suspension is absolute garbage it bottoms out on literally the smallest bump!!! i upgraded to the fox podiums and they are amazing only $550 for all four shocks its definitely worth every penny!! i now have no complaints the machine is perfect now.

I have the 570 xmr and it is mean. This is the first atv that I have bought on my own, actually it is my first atv period. $8500 is a price you cannot beat on a mud machine but you still need a bike to ride on the farm or around the neighborhood. When I purchased mine I added the winch and also a plow and the price was still only @ $9500. I am going to MudNats in March and I am taking mine to see what it can really do.

If your looking at an L and you do any kind of trail riding in wet and muddy conditions look no further. the standard L is great but will clog the radiator faster than you can clean it, and you will have to stop every 5 min to let it cool off. the only way to solve that is a radiator relocate. so save your money and buy this one add a which and you are set. the mudzillas are not terrible on the trail and will dig in the mud.

I like it looks awesome and works awesome! But as luke stated this is ment for the true mudder which I am not yes I like too sometimes so I would rather go for the rene with a set of tires

OK Luke. You are doing a test. So let me know about the issues with trail riding. Does this L model have the upgraded XMR Diff? How about the belts. Upgraded or standard model? The hot set up I have heard on the web is to get an XMR and put less aggressive tires on them for smoother trail riding while still having the stronger drive train. Please answer some basic questions and win me over to the LXMR. (Note, I am looking at this for my wife, while I am looking at the 850 XMR for me) I agree, a winch is necessary. But a low end Rear Diff would make this a non starter.

have you tested the 850 xmr outlander? I love the mud but my 2wd 350 rancher just won't cut it.

If you can afford the 650 go that route power is essential in mud riding. Not that the 570 don’t do well they work good iv had one. Now run the 850 world of difference in the deep stuff.

Can Am needs to hire someone from QSC or Gates and engineer a better factory primary clutch. This goes for all of their models.

It definitely is a trail bike as long as you upgrade the suspension right from the dealer it’s a must the stock suspension is absolutely garbage
