Best motor ever placed in a sled, reliability is best in the industry, and yes the power steering works flawlessly. A Cadillac cruiser thats a rocket when you you squeeze your right thumb!
I got a 2011 apex Se and I'm just in love with it. the truth be told, when my buddy(who has a etec) actually gets tired through the twistes when we go hard for a good 20 minutes and I start to pull away from him, the power steering is just amazing. once we are at a stop he's always sweating and I'm just sitting there waiting.
I have an 07 with 12k miles. Runs, rides and performs like a new sled! Love the power! I'm 45. I love the centralized balance of it. In my opinion, the other sleds make me feel like I'm about to go over the handlebars. Too far forward for me.
Even though I have a 2019 8000rr I still find myself going back to my 07 apex (attak actually) because it has the best ride and balance of sled I've ever ridden. I hate feeling like I'm humping my gas tank and dipping my knee in the corner makes no sense to me. I like the old school weight shifting of my apex.
Omg! You guys are so hung up on how heavy Yamahas are. You talk like it is 800 lbs. I have a 2006 apex attack. It is a 136 skid. It is 575 lbs. now a Polaris iq shift 136 is 535 lbs. and I have two more cylinders. So seriously stop making it sound like Yamaha is so heavy. If you can’t lift 40more lbs. then you should hit the gym.
