I had a 'scare' of sorts last year. It took me a couple of weeks to work up the courage to do something about it but I'm glad I did. It turned out that not only was there no major problem but I'm actually in really good shape, well beyond 'acceptable.' You (Pete) mentioned the relief of finding no additional and/or residual problems and I can fully relate to the feeling of *life* that starts flowing thereafter, giving you what feels like a second chance and maybe a little vindication that at times we are actually doing the right thing in life. Thanks for sharing your story. I'm sure someone will take it to heart and make a move for the better. Having even a little concern over ones health is nothing to be ashamed or scared of.
This moment changed my life forever. I reflect on this every single day now and how fortunate I am to have so many friends, fans, family to have by my side. I will continue to try and inspire and motivate others to live their life the best that they can. I have gotten a lot of hate from vegans, stating "I got cancer because I am not a vegan", to which I will simply state anyone can get cancer, there is science and studies that will point negative things towards meat, and negative things towards people being vegans. Live your life the way YOU want to live it. I AM doing that, if you don't like the way I live my life then simply don't watch. Thanks Pete
You were at an almost guaranteed risk at getting some sort of cancer eating the amount of meat you eat. I don't wish cancer onto anyone or want to inflict negativity. Look more into the vegan lifestyle to insure a healthier you and planet. I wish you the best in your recovery.
Cancer survivor here. I had three rounds with ALL (acute lymphoblstic leukemia) It was a bitch and it, along with the the chemo wrecked my body. BUT I kicked that fuckers ass! It can be scary but you have to dig deep and have a positive out look. When I was diagnosed I told the doctors cancer will not be the end of me. You should vlog about the treatment/doctors appointments. It might take some of the mystery out of it for others who might be having an issue, but are afraid of the Drs. Good luck, bro.

Yes there are "grammatical errors", no one is perfect, but cancer support is good. I hope you never have to suffer surgery, months of chemotherapy followed weeks of radiotherapy. I wish you good health for all your life.
Hi everyone, i just want to share my history...i was diagnosed with testicular cancer when i was 16 years old (im 27 now)... And like Pete said, when i noted that something was wrong in my body, i got scared but waited for around a year to tell my parents that i wasnt ok and i needed medical atention, because of shame or fear i really dont know why.. the thing is that it spread to my abdominal region, and because of that, i went through 2 surgeries and a year of chemo... although im healthy now, i think i wouldnt have to pass all that pain and depression if i had not been ashamed to say it. On the other side, i started lifting because of cancer, i've been lifting for almost 9 years now, i really dont know how low or high my testosterone is, but i have made really good muscle and strength gains, i get a lot of compliments from people, so dont worry about that :). My dad had the exact same thing. He waited too long to see a doctor. I remember going to the hospital waiting for the news about wether he could survive or not. He had the hardest time of his life doing chemotherapy, but eventually the cancer got away. It has been 5-6 years now, but these are the things that stay in your mind for the rest of your life. You have made a very good point Pete. My hat's off to you.
One word: Respect. Seeking help for anything isn't a sign of weakness, but one of strength. Men in particular don't ask for help because our society has brought them up believing they needed to be good at everything, and that only women need help. No! It is okay for men to ask for help when they need it. We need more men like you, urging on the male population to take better care of themselves overall. Whether it be physical or mental, we men are terrible at admitting any sort of flaw or problem. I sought help 2 years ago because people were worried about me. Turns out I had a range of mental illnesses. I already knew, but didn't want to accept it for myself. 2 years later, I am sober, had treatments and help in the areas I needed, and I feel a lot better for dealing with the problem. My only regret, is that I waited too damn long. Best wishes Pete, and know that you are an inspiration to many.

Thank u so much for doing this video! I'm almost 38 & have lost way too many family members to cancer, my grandpa had throat cancer. All because he hated going to the doc, it got caught too late & he died 2 months after chemo & radiation, on 10/17/12. Everyone needs to realize that even if u have to suffer thru a lil embarrassment, it's so much better than dying! Good luck with your future & your future check ups!

I had the testicular cancer in 2001 my daughter was 2 weeks old, i was 23 years old then, drastic things change your look on life! But in a possitive way if you get the change to life longer! lost my mother in 2008, she has been killed in her own home (stabbed to death). 1 year ago i had skin cancer on my face, its been removed and i am still a possitive thinker. A lot off people waist a lot off time judging other people, because they are afraid off themselves and other things that they didn't experience themselves. I learned in my live through live experience that we should let go off the fear off the onknown, that is what will set us free!

Brings back memories....... So sorry to hear about your news Pete, I know where you're coming from. When I was 27 & married with 2 kids (I'm 41 now, still married but with 4 kids ) I was diagnosed with malignant melanoma skin cancer. What a terrifying thing to have attached to your name eh? Very surreal. Luckily, early detection was key for me as well & everything ended successfully. I felt the need to send you a quick msg to let you know you're not alone (a fellow Canadian from Ontario - Brockville, South of Ottawa). I'm sorry to hear this man. I lost my dad this summer to Sarcoma, and I had my own testicular cancer scare last month. It only turned out to be an epididymal cyst, but it's still scary. Best of luck to you my man.

I saw this years ago and I'm glad I did your whole journey and information has helped me out, I just discovered I have testicular cancer and I was scared and didn't know how it was gonna go but then I remembered these videos and I appreciate your strength and rewatching your journey is giving me reassurance. hi pete, i got an infection down there 28 years ago, it got swollen really fast, the size of a baseball, that was painful too, but was only an infection. get better soon and God bless!
Hey pete, i was diagnosed with testicular cancer aswell last week. Im really deep in it right now, in and out the hospital. I start chemo's this week but everything aside thanks for making me aware so this can get solved and i can get back on track ( not yet ) but its gonna be better after than before. I know you love what you do, and that is awesome. I just really hope that one day you sit down and really research the role food plays in our over all health and well being. I know it can be easy to just brush it off, listen to what medical professionals say ( ones who do not study nutrition at all), and not think food can cause, cure, or really even affect our health in major ways, but it does. Do the research yourself if you feel called to it, and draw your conclusions from that. You are worth taking the time to do so. I wish you all the best Pete~

Alright, you convinced me. This is like a sign because for the last 3-4 weeks I have an issue down there... and it doesn't go away. Sometimes it hurts more, sometimes it's almost gone... but now I feel it's getting worse. I need to see a doctor. I hope it's not cancer.
sounds like a hair follicle that is infected. go get it checked out, but you probably don't have to worry. the reason i say this is because cancer doesnt get better without treatment or "almost go away." but it's better to be safe than sorry.
D3rrty D4n No, it's not a hair follicle... I don't want to go into too much detail but it's only the right side and it's swollen or at least harder than usually... maybe it's "just" inflammation...
flx2525 A friend of mine had this thing where one tesicle had twisted/tangled. Apparently it was caused because as kids we were very active (playing sports etc.) and it kinda just happened. It was resolved quickly though, they kinda just "massaged" it back. Sounds like it could be the same thing. Good luck to you and get it checked out quickly!

Woah, I'm really sorry i am only just watching this video now. I have not been on here in a while, I'm terribly sorry for you but i have enormous respect for you going through what you did and now sharing it with others in the hope that something comes out of it. I had a similar experience recently with some irregularities and i am thankful that it came back as nothing. I'm glad i did what i did, it was a scary moment but something i am personally proud of, you are a inspiration to all of us, keep your head up, keep doing what your doing!
Was diagnosed with testicular cancer last Sept. (2016) my right was the one affected. I got operated last Sept as well. I need to under go 4 cycles of chemo with 1 week therapy per cycle. I had my 1st chemo cycle last Oct and may 2nd chemo last Nov. I still have 2 more chemo cycles to go. My 3rd is to start at Jan 2, 2017. Im sharing because I would like to say thank you for the vid. It somehow cheered me up. I hate chemo and its depressing but i have to hide it from people around me because i don't want to burden them more than i already am. I would like to ask how to handle the mental and emotional side?

Do you ever think that a lot of the junk food you ate for challenges could have increase your chance of cancer, maybe you should eat organics or something to help, it makes a big differences.
To get a grip - take a breath and grasp the magnitude of the state of mind that Pete; a human being with feelings, is in right now. If you still think that this is an appropriate moment to lecture him about eating junk food (He's a seemingly intelligent guy, who probably already knows the effects of junk food), then your priorities are out of balance in my opinion. ***** let me ask you this, how old do people get in 3rd world countries? Avarage is 50-60, the avarage in western world is like 80. Old age is the number one cause for cancer, our bodies can only live and repair itself for x amount of times, then it starts to slowly decay until you die. If you compare cancer that isnt caused by old age in western world to 3rd world countries, then you might be able to hone in on the cause, however because cancer recognition is really bad in 3world countries it is hard to make a comparative analysis of cancer chance in 1st world vs 3rd world. I.E your food propaganda has a long while ahead of it before it is conclusively proven, as far as i know. Of course if you would provide any conclusively proven peer reviewed studies then i would happily accept your rebuke.

The doctors are not completely sure if the cancer has spread anywhere else. Joe if you did not know, cancer can spread. Pete seems like a great person from his videos. i've never met him, but if someone like him can be happy through cancer, create awareness, accomplish a life, have fans who can accept him for who he is, then i say he is one great person.

Brandon R Your effort alone will dictate how your results come out. If you happen to walk upon something negative, it's your duty to overcome it first by positive thoughts. Through positive thoughts, a new strength will flourish. God only appears before your life to give you a path of life before you enter being a human. He then only appears again, when you leave this plane to only ask "How was it?" Between those 2 times, he doesn't meddle with "YOUR" business.
