You are my original teacher for filming! I managed to build a great company 4 years ago and a lot is tips and tricks that I learned by observation at your life work the past few years :)
Havent watched casey in years and yt recommended this.. something about the fact he is still in his old studio making videos is very comforting to me lol
Imagine never having to worry about tying your shoelaces again. With AI-powered electric shoes, you can easily slip them on and off while enjoying the convenience of motorized laces. It's like having a personal assistant for your feet!
the shots and editing in this is pure Casey. the two trains leaving the station to reveal casey on the platform the other side was class. props to the thinking to get that shot.
I know right!! But like I'm sitting here watching this knowing what I know about nyc and specifically the subway stations and i'm thinking how is no-one just bouncing off with his camera gear. Theres so much trust in some of his vids. Understandably there no doubt would be an unspoken rule in nyc to not touch Casey Neistats shit. But ....... He's on the other platform?!?!?!?
@@anthonyp2312 if you have the means to do so, i don't think it's that stupid. if you're a millionaire, 1.4k for shoes you really like that make you feel good to wear seems like a perfectly reasonable purchase. less so if that's your rent money.
These seems interesting, but the highlight is the quality of content and story told in such a short period of time. Also, Happy to see Casey in his element aka my hometown, NYC!
I miss seeing Casey's videos. This is the last video that he has posted in more than a month. I hope that he and his family is alright, and hope to see him back on here soon with some amazing content.
It's not strange at all. It's just pointless and a bad design in general, but not strange. These things existed atleast 20 years ago (with a slightly different design). Trust me. Strange things are noticed everywhere.
I had a mini heart attack when he got the the subway haha Glad to see you're back in NYC. Never hurts to try living in different places. Sometimes we just need to be some place different. 👍
It’s makes me happy to see Casey happy again. Yes I said it. He was tolerant and decent when in LA, but you can absolutely tell he’s actually HAPPY back in NY.
@@yamum yes, tolerant. He obviously didn’t want to go there and leave New York, he even said that, but he did it to take a break and get more time with his family. So he tolerated moving to LA.
As a roller skate, these look super fun to me!! I would love a pair. They look like they can handle more different terrain than my skates. If they end up with a hidden when necessary, amazing. I think a chase scene in these would be HIRARIOUS! You could be chased by old people on mobility scooters.
Did you miss the part at the beginning of the video where he goes and asks one of his interns / friends for help filming? I guarantee you on a lot of those shots his friend was behind the camera, or was at least watching the camera.
They seem to be a cool replacement for removable (more portable) roller blades, can be used for commuting to and from work, and can be easily removed and stored away in your bag. Overall really cool idea other than the price
The price will go down at some point, if they become big parts will become cheaper and mass manufacturing lowers prices, by the time the final product is out, wait a couple years after that and they wont be much more than a nice pair of jordans
There were a few shots where you actually looked super comfortable walking with them and then that second set of stair where you were just casually stepping off the last couple looked super smooth. Which was really cool! In an ideal scenario I would be able to wear them anywhere, subway, bus, grocery store parking lots~ I don't imagine I'd wear them inside the place like inside a grocery store, depends on how big I guess. Wearing them in early 2000s malls would have been SUPER COOL! Gosh... Now I miss malls 😢
Totally agree. I could see these becoming a lot better with solid state batteries in the future. (Much lighter, more battery capacity). Taking away some extra bulk and weight in v2 would be awesome
@@Growingcoinjar10 Many malls are dying and just aren’t what they used to be. Many malls in my country (US) sit close to empty now. Some are still good but are few and far between.
It's kind of the sweet spot with pedal-assisted ebikes. Looks a lot safer than all the other hover/one/skake things we have seen in the last 10 years. Yeah I could see that successful when its under 400 bucks.
Use to watch every one of your videos back in like 2012/2013ish? Man I love your content. You actually inspired me to move to the city and purchase my first drone. While I didn't do much with the drone, I absolutely love the city. For this, I thank you.
This vloggg is amazinggggg !!!!! Having Caseys signature vlogs back on youtube is so refreshing !!! This dude inspired me to pick a cam ... Thanks CASEY !!!!!!
Ability of plugging a crappy product without saying it’s crappy but making it look like funny and dorky and maybe kinda cool but also without lying. Jesus you’re a master
@@p3rpNZ I also got the same impression as Marco. The product looks fun but not really practical. So like a cool toy. Sure it increases walking speed, but now you can't run, stairs become annoying, you'll have to recharge your shoes every days like a phone, durability is likely an issue for prolonged use (Normal shoes get replaced almost every years or two or even more often depending on usage).
@@DuckyPM Human consciousness far exceeds any other animal on this planet, let alone fucking garbage roller skates. You're just not used to engaging with a high degree of awareness, so my statement seems confusing to you.
what do you like about them? Honestly for 1400$ id rather buy a nice pair of runners and just walk a bit faster lol put the leftover change in my wallet.
So you're telling me, someone went through an Airport for the first time & walked on the Travelator and thought to themselves "hey, you know what would be a good idea? If these were attached to your feet." LMAO
Definitely a stepping stone to some cool things, remember heelies, maybe people will have some sort of added mobility in their shoes. Rollie jump boots
Haven't laughed so hard in a while. Casey looks like a drunk staggering about in those "shoes". The shot in public were priceless. Gotta compliment him on a gracious sum-up at the end, but I think we all know where these are going along with all the other eShoes we've seen in the past.
You are one of my biggest inspiration in life, I learned a lot and you kept me going for a good while until I felt my bad vibes coming back again unfortunately... Anyway I am back 🎉 looking forward to your next video :( Thanks for that 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Great idea, but bigger wheels made from polyurethane with a nylon core, would probably make them far more usable on different surfaces. However, this would probably also destabilize them a bit, making the user having to balance like on roller skates - but I believe most people would be happier with a smoother ride/walk on different surfaces, and then deal with the learning curve.
Hey Casey... I love you're back. I enjoy all your content. And of course I love your creativity and your unique personality. Send you a big hug from the Dominican Republic.
Interesting concept! I think one day there will be a full exo skeleton type suit we'll be able to wear that we fit into and it will do everything for us, like walking, running, lifting, working etc.
@@kl9686 Simple, if we invent a robot that can do everything we can and has advanced AI learning technology programmed into it, then we could be in big trouble. Just watch any futuristic movie based on robots, such as the Terminator series, to have a glimpse of what could potentially happen.😲⚠️😳
Casey in New york is just fixing all that was wrong with the world but we need him to get Jack Coyne back in the videos now for the ultimate nostalgia 😁
📌 Nice video, love how you take your time to educate your viewers. as we learn we also need to earn . I created the mindset to invest my savings now I have made profits over $120k Right now and still making more , I am enjoying a good life with what I made investing. Indeed ‚building a Portfolio income (investing) through a licensed investment adviser is one out of many ways to earn passive income.
No magic in trading having a strategy that ensures profit is the best you can do and that’s not for novice, lost over $17k trading with bad strategy but with the help of an expert Harry Martins I have recovered losses and even made more. The crypto markets is the future and many doesn't know about it , so sad
What an awesome review. He could have went in on all the inconvenient things about the shoes, but recognizing the impact, he simply says we all await a more polished version. Also -- anyone else notice how happy Casey is to be back in NYC? You love to see it!
Isn't it great? Casey is so good at what Casey does , we will basically just watch him walk? I live in the PNW in small town, Oregon, so i dont see where a time would come that an AI shoe would ever be needed. But i will watch Casey do pretty much anything.
@@DutchPyro2011 dumbasses never evolve I guess🤣 Yeah considering how he is literally gliding THAT close to an obvs active subway system in shoes that literally control how you walk. I would say that’s brave. And not exactly sure where any single child on earth was going to war at 12 in the US. Other countries? Maybe
Remember that part in Back to the Future when the lil car flew off the table and drove along the floor, crashed, and burst into flames the Doc did that really funny gasp? That’s exactly who this guy reminds me of to a tee 😂 Well done vid though my dude 👍🏼
When they make them small as heelys this will be actually very dope and useful in a Regular pair of shoes type thing, so yea excited to see what they come up with
Great to see your videos. Stopped watching them regularly after you moved to CA. It felt like a disconnect. Nothing against LA. I lived there for 13yrs and loved it. We ended up moving to Colorado. Great to see you in NYC again. Glad to see you in adopted home where you belong. Hopefully we will run into each other on one of my families trips to NY. Would be great.
Taking a trip to NYC soon for a college visit and if I don't see Casey tooling around town on some sort of electric device, it will be a disappointing trip for me. 🤪
I definitely think this is a cool idea it’s just definitely not even close to finished. It needs to be quick and easy to switch from shoes to the wheel. No one is going to walk around on the wheel like when Casey was going down the stairs. It needs to be something like heelies where you’d press a button and the wheels would pop out. That is definitely something I would use especially walking around my college campus.
That would definitely help, though overall it's not exactly an original idea, electric roller-skates have been done before, and the absurd pricetag (as I covered in another comment this is maybe around $300 of parts if we're being extremely generous) plus the BS use of the word "AI" to gather hype is a major flashing red flag SCAM alert. Overall it's just an inferior solution to an eBike, eScooter, or hoverboard, all of which can go faster and give you more range for a significantly cheaper $250-850 pricetag that can get you some pretty high end stuff.
