I just watched your video on how to make the gel. Very good job 👋👌Thank you for your efforts.👍 Found it entertaining because @WilliamHunterII made the same suggestion to you a month ago that I was about to do. It would be worth a try to see how the 4 types of the 22 lr behave on bones. Admittedly, I haven't seen any homemade gel with bones yet. Please stay healthy.
I really like that you made your own gell. Question: what happens if you use more hydrogen peroxide. Would it make it more clear? Next question. How easy is it to remove all the impurities after you shoot them up.
If you add more it doesn't get any clearer unfortunately. When I melt it back down it settles to the bottom of the container and I slowly pour it into a new one leaving it behind in the bottom.
I suppose you could add some bone to the mix? Suspend it with a string so it doesn't sink to the bottom as the mix hardens? Perhaps use some pork ribs and/or bovine bone? These are questions.
So I just watched your video on making the gel. Do you take these blocks and put them back in the roaster and melt them down again for fresh blocks? How do you know when to add more water or gelatin?
Yup just put it back and melt it down, then I poor it into another can to to separate all the projectile pieces out. I'll add a little water back to the mix to raise the level back to original height (just under the rim) then let it sit in the roaster for just a bit longer to let the bubbles settle out. When finished I'll test it with the BB gun again to check density
